Hi guys

I just wanted to thank ALL of you who responded to my post regarding the discussion (argument) that my hubby and I had. Thank goodness for my WS friends - that is all I have to say. You made me realize that I am able to be myself and think the way that I think .. and it is all okay.

I invest myself in these trials because I have a strong need to see justice served. And I feel so much for the victims that cannot have a voice because they are gone from this earth.

The JA trial was a no brainer for me .. as was OJ, CA and many other high profile cases .. Robert Blake etc. It just pains me to see these people get away with such crimes. Although JA was convicted, I did NOT want to hear bad things about Travis that were just NOT proven ... and probably did NOT exist.

I have taken your advice to heart and now understand that my hubby (who is a good man) was just sick of coming home every day seeing me watching whatever the trial of the day is. I will try to tape more and watch in private. I guess I would feel the same if he was glued to every sporting event ... so I will stick with conversing with my Websleuthers.

Luv you all!!! :seeya: Thanks again. I have stopped seething ..
and .... :okay:

What does this mean? :seeya:

I think it means that the prosecution is countering the defense's motion to throw out the aggravation phase of the trial with a "yeah right". :floorlaugh:

Calling their bluff so to speak. If someone could post a link to the actual document that would be great!

My last o/t post of the day before I finally crash (into a hopefully peaceful sleep.) For those of you needing a little inspiration or encouragement, and who have access to Facebook, check out the page "Lessons Learned in Life." Just click on photos when you get to the page. There are some great inspirational quotes there, it gets me through a lot of rough times.

Goodnight all, thanks for the encouragement the past few weeks. Love you all! :blowkiss:

I am officially sad. I just got an offer I can't refuse on the yearling filly I bred(first and only) who won at Devon. My husband has been having ulcers over how much money we spend a month on my 3 horses. He is not a horse person, but indulges my passion and in turn, that of my daughters. I can't ride anymore nor do I see the horses with any regularity. Oh well. :(

Aww, (((hugs))). Wish I had something more positive to say! I'm sure she'll be going to a wonderful home.

I am not a horse person, but am very attached to the animals that I have (dog and cats). But ... my daughter-in-laws mother (and friend of mine) has a small acreage with a couple of horses (Molly and Boon). She and my daughter in law ride all the time and have such a love-passion for horses. They would be devastated ... I am sorry for your situation and I pray she is going to an equally loving home. So sorry ... hugs to you Zuri ... the pain will ease with the passage of time, but I know that doesn`t help much in the moment.

thank you for posting this. i know its in relation to another poster but hearing this is helping me too. thanks linda!.. p.s-looks like we are neighbors. my husband is from nj, wash twp

......

We said in our house that we wouldn't get addicted to another trial, but here we are... Hope everyone is doing OK tonite....

oooo i go to the devon horse show every year!!!!!!! we live right near there on the "main line" *eye roll* because i don't fit in there at all! i used to ride all the time but stopped. the best was going to ireland to ride all over the cliffs and on the beaches, and even wading in the ocean with the horses. i hope my daughter picks up the habit. thank god there are tons of good stables around the philly area! you are right though, it is very expensive.

Hello you guys!

I miss Juan today! I'm in need of a JM fix. I can't (ok, I can considering it's this Defense) believe the Defense is still trying to stall the last phase of the trial. And, the Judge is probably going to side with them. My disgust for JA has not decreased even a little bit and never ever will. She will pay with unimaginable pain in this life and the next for the horrific murder of our beloved Travis. What goes up must come down. I don't think this way often as I believe most people are a mixture of good and less-than but I do wonder whether JA is a physical incarnation of evil. Am I glad she is locked up in a cage and left to rot.

I will be out of town when the next hearing is on but I hope that although it is not likely that the Judge will side with the Prosecution and get the penalty phase moving already. The Alexanders deserve this much at the very least.

My hugs and prayers for all of you who are going through relationship troubles or any troubles at all...

I was at this point with a very very close friend of twenty years over the Zimmerman trial.

Here's what I did. I took a two day break from both... I came to realize that my opinion doesn't amount to a hill of beans in that case or any other. My friend and our friendship is more important to me.

I quit watching the Zimmerman trial, apologized to my friend and let it go. She's happy, I'm happy.

I have scratched my head over this. And the only thing I can come up with is the different prisms of which we see through due to our past experiences.

If someone has been a victim of an assault (where they feared for their life) or a break-in into their home....a theft, it might make a difference in how they view this case. Do they live alone? Are they more vulnerable to a break-in? Do they believe in guns for self-defense....etcetcetc.

I have been amazed how this case has polarized people that usually agree on things.

This comment is just rhetoric...I am not asking for self-disclosure, just rumblings....ruminations....all imo.

Hi! Just a note, not every state is unbearably hot for long periods of time. Remember there are 50 of them (states). moo

I feel your pain. I've been fortunate that I've been able to hold on to my "first foal" from this 2nd chance with horses for the last 22 years. He was foaled when I stepped into to get another cup of coffee, one cold night on April 4, 1991. I've been able to see 26 of his 27 foals the morning of their birth, actually got to watch one being born........sneaky mares! Haven't had a foal around for about 5 years but he may be a dad next year, the mare we picked up about 2 months ago went into heat twice and that's all she wrote. First time she's been bred and she's 10 years old, but the 2 of them are peas in a pod! They don't know they're horses, will follow you around the acreage, put their head in your chest to get their ears scratched, and come hauling a$$ when you whistle for them, sliding stop not more than 3 feet in front of you!
My BF of 9 years knows very little about horses, but feeds them in the morning. He's been lucky because we only had one mare, who was a rescue, that was really a snot. Kicked a feed bucket out of his hand and knocked him over! I have a rule about all the animals playing "well with others" and if they don't fit in, the get re-homed. She went back to the rescue after 4 years. Too dangerous for my BF, who has slow reflexes from PTSD meds.
I hope your filly has a wonderful new home and the new owners treat her well! It's always tough to see one go.

Lately I find myself reflecting on the extraordinary patience Judge Stephens displays. I'm in awe and I do admire her tolerance and calming manner. However, I want to raise an objection, Your Honor. These attorneys are meant to be adults with at least a modicum of respect for court economy. They should not require a mother who answers their every call & request (or else what? melt into a puddle or throw a tantrum?) The approaches have been countless and they consume 65% of every session. The refusals to come forward with reasonable offers to schedule are notorious and ruinous to the progress of the case. The excuses for failure to provide expected witnesses are specious and deserve a rapping. The witnesses do not support the defendant and that has been exposed. In short, it is far past time to introduce some efficiency into these proceedings. "Either show up at six sharp or you don't get any dinner!"

These people are beyond disgusting. The Anthony's are still making money off of their murdered granddaughter. Makes me ill.

Yes beyond disgusting. You would think they would store them and keep them or give them to some toddler less fortunate if they really had to. But sell them? Oh how I wish the whole lot of the Anthony family would go to jail. All of them. I can see how they raised a sociopath!!! Apply didn't fall far from the tree.

If anyone is interested, here's the link for the Memorial Service for the Granite Mountain Hot Shots. It's the local feed so no crazy non-Arizona media hype. It's running late because of the metal detector buzzing from all the medals on many of the firemen's uniforms, so they're saying it will start about 11:15-30.

I live in one of the unbearably hot states. lol It's almost 100 right now and since we had a little rain yesterday the humidity is fairly high as well. I went out at 9:00 a.m. and couldn't wait to get back home an hour later, wooo hot.
