Picture of her Royal Fatness.....unless she pulls a fast one on Aug 10, I'm hedging my bets she's going to foal Sept 9. First foals are so unpredictable, and her heat cycles were pretty goofy last year.
Compare to the lean, mean, speed machine from last year:

I did want to make one other comment about this, Maria being her tweeter makes sense logistic-wise, until the pin wheel incident she's apparently had easy access and private conversations with JA but isn't that unethical behavior on Maria's part? From everything I've read*, their job is to dig up information that shows the defendant deserves to have their life spared in a capital murder case, since they are hired by the public defender's office and paid with taxpayer dollars it seems there should be oversight into what they can and cannot do. And it also makes a mockery of the defense complaining about JA's tweets when/if it was their own mitigation specialist posting those tweets. I just think this deserves some looking into.

Interesting to me that Maria had months to find mitigating factors in first penalty trial and found NONE.

My kindle is pretty lightweight ~~ I do encounter some limitations but for the most part happy with it

Went to Amazon about an hour ago and bought an 8 inch Acer tablet. I hope it will work for me. This iPad is not for use when lying on your back in bed. Lol. Killing my shoulder.

Thanks, CiI and Josie!
Zubaz, the gray stallion is 23, had him since he was born......he's VERY well fed! Kissy is 11. They're both in your face, give us love, attention hounds!
Their foal is going to be called "Zuri" and, yes, named after our partner in crime here on this site, LOL!

Two excellent articles Geevee regarding the mitigation specialist and what the job is. It does mention in one of the articles that it is difficult and unwise to get personally involved with the client. I wonder if that is what Maria has done. It sure sounds like it.
It mentions in the articles that it is a hard job for some to find mitigating factors . (JA?) and that their penalty (possibly death) has been overturned because of lack of mitigating factors. Very interesting.
I think it is in everyone's best interest that Maria find someone to say something about Jodi to prevent this from happening. JMO

Hi Josie! good to see you. I cant wait for the trial to start.. Oh Dear God dont let her stop it again!!
We are all so tired of this waiting. How has your weather been? I'm in Ohio near Lake Erie and it has been
so cool. Summer is a bust for those who want to swim. My granddaughter and family love the water.
Canada has been sending her cooler weather to us, Really I can never be thankful enough for
having Canada as a neighbor. When I look at the mid~East, I'm even glad to have Mexico! Yes we get
their people but at least no missiles. We must just hang in there now til September..Take care~ :loveya:

Hi Pages,
None of these links would open for me. I watch YouTube a lot so I am not sure why.

Hmmmm, I clicked on them in your post and they worked....it's the Allman Brothers..

Didn't know what I really wanted to listen to last night. More drama from our next door neighbor pain in the butt woman cat collector.

We've caught five of her cats in a trap in our yard (and several skunks, raccoons, and possums) the last two weeks, and haven't been able to catch this red cat that wasn't looking too good. It wanted to get in the trap for the tuna fish but was very leery, and each day it looked worse, yesterday it stumbled across our yard and collapsed under my SUV.

So, DH called Animal Control, told them the cat was dying, they show up and as they're were talking to my DH, the cat woman walks over, up our driveway, past animal control, and said I need to get my cat DH told her no, and she climbed under my SUV, got the cat (who was then gasping to breath) and as she walked off DH told her that was the worse case of neglect he'd ever seen, and animal control followed her.

They went into her her house (hope they found the room (that you can see from the street) that has the blinds up and the room full of cages) and cited her for no vaccination, no city tag, not confined to her property, and she refused to hand it over because she wanted to be with it when it died, and they told her she had three hours to take the cat to a vet and have it put down. If she was so full of love and concern (this was a young cat, about seven or eight months old, it's siblings seem to be doing well) then why didn't she take it to a vet before it came to the suffering and misery this poor little kitty was going through? I hope they cited her for neglect and cruelty to animals. And now the city wants us to file no trespassing against her.

This has been an ongoing problem since she moved here nineteen years ago, and when she lived two blocked down before for ten years before that.

She's walked into my home ,twice, and called me a *****, spat at me and told me I wasn't fit to be around children ( when I told her each of the five times she asked what I was going to do with the cats I caught (she was screaming by then) and each time I told her everything I caught was going to the city) as my two grandchildren, and one of my clients and her two children stood there in shock. This is also the woman that told me when she was pissed one time that she had our cat fixed and it her cost one hundred and sixty eight dollars, and I told her that must of been quite a feat for the vet since he'd been fixed when he was eight months old.

So the city wants us to file trespassing charges against her to keep her off our property and to stop her from opening any traps. The city said it became their property when it went into the trap, even if it was one of our traps.

The house on the other side of her has been empty for four years and is now up for sale, and hope we don't have to go through the same crap that she caused before. There was an elderly couple, in their eighties, and she talked them into letting her tell the city that their two acres were for her cats to use, and hope she doesn't try the same.

We're not against cats, have had three Maine Coons over the years, and our last cat was a smaller grey tabby that we had to ask my sister if he could live with her because he was getting beat up by all of her cats. Our largest Maine Coon was twenty six pounds, some times you'd wake up with him laying on your chest.

So, knowing how chicken s*** some people are, that they don't hurt our dogs in any way, we ask for your prayers . Thanks.

ps she dumps the many litter boxes over the fence into the other pasture, and the flies and stench is horrible.

this is not our neighbor, just an example of how it is. I haven't been able to open or have flowers and plants under my bedroom window in many years because of the stench of cat urine and feces.

Hi Pages,
I couldn't endure a neighbor like that. I would certainly ask for no trespassing on my property. She doesn't know what restraint even means. Why is it that she thinks she loves cats simply because she collects them like property? That is definitely neglect and likely abuse. She should be jailed for that. But truth is, she is insane. My heart goes out to you.

If she truly looks for a single soul to speak on JA's behalf, she will have her work cut out for her. Hard to believe a sentence would not be carried out because there are no mitigators.

Hi, I thought she ruled no not too long ago..I may be wrong~ I hope a hope!!:shame:

If I were a Juror that would tell me a lot. I think the crime has a lot
to do with no one standing up for her. Who could with such a horrific
crime? I know I could not. :gaah:

Hi Spellbound. The iPad must be my problem. I'm on my back for a few days and all I can use is my iPad. It's heavy too. Would love to purchase a lightweight tablet. Do you know of any?

I cannot find the smileys either.

My mini ipad is lighter & easier to hold when laying down. I wouldn't waste my money on the real cheapy tablets, but that's just me. Sorry I don't know anyone wanting to sell theirs, tho.

I found my smileys--- somehow I managed to change a formatting setting to basic-text. Changed it to ENHANCED and the smileys are back.
Format options above the thread; settings, then this:
Miscellaneous Options Message Editor Interface:
Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing
Basic Editor - A simple text box
Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls
When posting messages to the forums or other members, there are three interface types available to you. The simplest of these is a simple text box, while the last is a fully-fledged WYSIWYG editor, which allows you to format your text as you want it and see the results immediately.

Depending upon the capabilities of your web browser, you may not be able to use all of these options. If you experience problems when posting messages, try switching to a different interface type.

I should have read all the posts before posting my other reply to you about tablets. Fingers crossed the Acer works out for you! :crossfingers:

No problem! If it doesn't I can return it. When I read the reviews, I got confused. One loved it and the next didn't. Thanks for helping me find the smileys!!
