I looked at the pic on the wall (enlarged) it is a Mama elephant with a baby elephant beside her. With the word "mommy" above them. I can not make out the writing above each elephant though.

Given the Snow White Disney link and her jail setting, I'd say that she almost certainly has this in her warped, murderous mind:

Can somebody tell me what exactly JA's Mitigation specialist has accomplished. Her selection of expert witnesses was a profound failure and now they're scrambling to find people to testify in the mitigation phase. She was recently approved for another 100 hours of 'mitigation' work in the penalty phase and it appears that time is to be spent looking pretty at a table by herself passing notes back and forth from the convict to whoever receives the notes. I don't get it. Shouldn't these witnesses have been lined up months or even years ago??

I'm confused by this as well, but I don't know how much we can blame her. Look what she has to work with.

Not to sound callous but I think people should try not to take what they read here so personally. I almost piped up when people were making fun of Jodi's nasty cold sore because I get cold sores and they are extremely embarrassing. I felt a pang when someone said Jodi needed rhinoplasty because I have a very similar (but way more attractive nose to hers. But I decided not to be offended because it has nothing to do with me. The bang thing is silly. It's just that those wispy little non bangs don't even make sense. It has nothing to do with bangs in general since a lot of people, probably even people making fun of her bangs, have bangs themselves.

I guess I can understand if you are very self conscious and feel the need to speak up because you worry about the people you meet saying the same thing. It's not like that. We scrutinize Jodi because...it's Jodi. She has it coming.

Don't internalize what you read. It's just that Jodi causes that reaction in us and I for one do not care. I don't care about the "glee" people seem to be taking in her possibly getting the DP. That's what happens when you kill people.

Well, the Mitigation Specialist is supposed to look into JA's entire life, home, all family, all schools, all doctors, all friends, and anything else, to find out all about her. To find out if she was abused, if she suffers from any mental illness then or now, if she killed kittens or hugged them, if she had any friends, if she harmed friends or helped them, and the list goes on.

Then the Mitigation Specialist is to help the DT in preparing their mitigation procedure, speech, witness for JA, and what to bring to the juries attention. Since we are not finished with whatever will be said on behalf of JA, we don't know how much was found to be helpful. Even if not much was found, hours go into that work, she also has to endure hours with JA, lol.

I have no idea about the hours requested for pay, but she does get paid for her in Court hours too, I'm sure the hours had to be somehow itemized for the Judge's approval. (Side Note: The big cross could go, or at least be tucked inside though. Looks kind of 1980s Madonna Style, even if she means it as a religious symbol.)

I would bet most folks she interviewed as potential mitigation witnesses gave her an ear full! Can't imagine why else DT would have chosen PW... maybe she volunteered.. some people do strange things when they feel like they might enjoy the limelight. Just saying..JMOO and all that

Oh...well now my panties are all in a bunch and I just wanna punch her in the face. It's the little wicked stuff that she does like draw pictures of Tanisha and puts them up for sale...leaving voice mail, emails and texts to Travis...sending flowers to his grandma...I want to write her a letter and invent a way that when she opens the envelope, a big fist appears and punches her right in the face.

Just for the record, I don't care what people post. I don't take any of these posts personally. I was simply passing along what I knew had already happened regarding the hands comments. It happened with the wandering eye comments as well. Those who were present when the exchanges occur would remember that some of the members were very hurt by those things. Maybe they shouldn't take things so personally, but because some people do, it seems reasonable to at least consider that if you know it's been a problem in the past.

If I was DB and had a son to raise, I would run as far as I could away from the murderess and not subject myself to the wrath of those who might not like his support of a butcher.

I am posting on a board of HUNDREDS of people with opinions. No one knows me personally, and I am by NO MEANS taking what is said PERSONALLY, I never said I did.

I think if she doesn't get the death penalty it will be because the jurors realize she belongs in a state mental institution for the remainder of her life.

that's not even an option. her own DT has emphatically denied there's anything wrong with her except for PTSD. yeah, nurmi caved and said 'ok, then believe dr. de marte' but that was a desperate move.

Jodi's huge hands have attracted most court watchers attention I think only because we know what she did with them. Her bangs now are a different story. And I have bangs yet reserve the right to rip on hers ad to the point of nauseum.

I have abnormally large hands myself (I’m 5’7”) My fingers are freakishly long and it took me awhile to not be ashamed of them, even strangers have mentioned how long they are and that I should have taken piano!
But now that I am older, I realized these long fingers make my nails look freaking fabulous!

Several members took offense because they have large hands and are sensitive to that criticism. Again, I know nobody is doing it intentionally, but when it comes to comments about physical characteristics you never know who might take offense. Just FYI.

But Jodi is fair game until someone mentions something that could potentially be referring to themselves and that's when they get offended? Seems a little hypocritical to me.

I am not one for making fun of her appearance because I couldn't care less what she looks like and it just seems a little petty and childish. And I do think a little decorum and class is in order since people can get kind of offended. But it seems people only speak up to defend her when they are also indirectly defending themselves.

You are absolutely right! I have poked fun at things like that and it is insensitive. I think we are just so repulsed and incensed by some of the "characters" in this horrid drama, that it releases some of that:blushing: outrage to just rag on them for everything.
I apologize if I have ever offended anyone. Just trying to vent my outrage and sometimes it gets petty!
