Thank you, you put the paper back vinyl in the die cutter machine and it cuts out the words/designs. You carefully peel the backing off the vinyl and carefully stick it on the glass (or whatever you are using). Personally, I like working with papers and gluing the papers on cardstock. I'm going be working on some Christmas 2016 soon using cardstock and papers...will post pictures of them. The cards are made using cardstock and design papers. Same process only papers instead of vinyl. You can use any background materials, canvas, chalk boards, wood. Anything you can imagine you can use! :)

Good Morning and remember to SMILE! Wear a smile — one size fits all.

I just love the old Hoosier Cabinet and the wash stand pictures and I love old houses (even with all the upkeep :) I love my old house and would not want a new modern home. You lose the character of the old.

You asked and you shall receive :giggle: I have a few pictures of my crafts that I do on my Silhouette CAMEO Die Cut Machine. Here are just a few: These two are made from a frosted glass brick, lights inside and vinyl cut from the die cutter.

Those are really nice.

On DirectTV we have a channel that is an infomercial channel that sells crafts a lot. One day I watched a lot of what they were selling and it was interesting all the gadgets and craft kits that are available these days.

I think I'd miss indoor plumbing the most. Down here in almost all the antique stores you come across old dry sinks and water pitchers that they used way way back then. Can you imagine just having a small bowl of water? from the crick? Yes I know it's creek, but down here , and my Italian mil, said crick. They're back in style with modern bowl sinks and the cabinet hides the plumbing.

That's a really nice dry sink. I love those and have actually been looking for one but never have found one in good condition like that one is perfect and beautiful.

They are so neat. I just saw a lot of the Twighlight Zone marathon they just had on over the holidays and one episode had a scene where a lady used a pitcher of some sort that was attached to a metal rod that would allow the pitcher to tilt towards the person washing their face.

It was so neat and I never saw that before.

The other neat item I have been waiting for just the right one is the old Ice Boxes. Where you would put a block of ice in the bottom to keep food cold. Some of them had nice wooden finishes and they make a unique piece of furniture and are beautiful when in good condition.

And the last piece that I don't have and would like to get someday....LOL......is a nice old large living room radio. We have all seen the nice old ones that were really large and family used to sit around listening to the radio shows.

I've seen all of these types of things but the ones I see are never in good condition. I suppose the good ones are real expensive and is probably why I don't see any because I usually just go to garage sales and flea markets. I try to avoid antique shops because the cost of things like that is usually expensive. That is probably where pieces like this are that are in good shape. I suppose if I really want a good one then I would have to start looking in the more expensive antique shops.

Ohhhh Niner!! Here is my new pet peeve ~ ""HAVING SAID ALL OF THIS" I am into chapter 10 of the book and that 'pet peeve' is in every chapter at least 4-8 times...grrrrr :giggle: driving me crazy :gaah: :notgood:

LOL
He really means......"Now that I said all of that, you can throw that away because here is what I really think" LOL

Hey all!

LOL! I know what you mean! Also, when he starts to say something, and than he says something to the effect - I'll be back on that later or it will be covered in my next books. :gaah:LOL!

I guess it's a slow day here today! No one here again!

:seeya: all tomorrow!

What he really means when he says that is "I have more I want to say about that but I am getting tired of writing this stinkin book and I have to beat Juan to the presses".

I found the Twighlight Zone episode I saw that had the scene with the lady using a dry sink area with a pitcher on a tilt swivel rod. She was actually on an old ship. So it makes sense there was no running water in the room they were staying in on the old ship.

It was a really neat episode and one I had not seen before. The room on the old ship was beautiful. I would like to watch it again someday just to get a better look at the old décor in the room on the ship. They had some really neat things on that old ship.

The episode is called "Passage on the Lady Anne"

Its kind of a sad story about 1 young couple who take a cruise ship along with all the other people being elderly people taking their last cruise. I don't want to give away any more than that as it would give away the story. If I haven't already spoiled it...sorry. :)

I just found another channel, beside METV - Antenna TV - with Tonight Show/Johnny Carson's old shows!! I LOVE :luv: Johnny Carson!! Also it has other "oldie" shows on it!

Oh coffeejunkie Love your Silhoutte cameo pictures!

That Twilight Zone marathon was great wasn't it. I taped a lot of them on DVR but I could not get my settings right and missed a lot of them. I think they may do it next year as I seem to recall they do this from time to time. If they do it next year then I am going to figure out how to record every episode.

They said they ran them in order one by one of every single episode. I am upset I did not get my DVR setup right to get them all. It seems I always end up seeing a new one I had not seen. LOL

What a show that was. Rod Serling had a brilliant imagination.
And I cannot believe how many superstar actors he managed to get on his shows.

I keep seeing actors I recognize. It is so fun to see them when they were young.
I think I even saw one of them had on Burt Reynolds when he was really young. He looked to be in his early twenties.

I loved so many of them.

Hatfied do you have Netflix? They may have them all and in order. The one that I always think of is the first of Burgess Meredith -Time Enough at Last. You survived a nuclear holocaust, and see a library, and more than enough books to read, and he breaks his glasses.

Burgess Meredith (Nov 16, 1907 - Sep 9, 1997) was an actor from Ohio who appeared in four episodes of The Twilight Zone - Time Enough At Last - Mr. Dingle the Strong - Printers Devil - Obsolete Man.

In a career that spanned sixty years, Meredith is well-remembered for creating the role of the Penguin on the original series of Batman. He also appeared in such films as Rocky and Clash of the Titans.

coffee you are very talented. Are you joining our art exhibition before our bus trip? I'm working on two right now, and hope they turn out well. I'll try and take a photo of them and post them if that is possible.

Has anyone heard from Nore? Is she still in the hospital, or is she home?

Hoping she's on the mend...

I loved so many of them.

I don't have Netflix but I did manage to tape about 15 or 20 of them I think. LOL

Yes, that actor was great. I loved the one with the books and holocost. He had the thick rimmed glasses. Its a classic.

I also loved the Printer one where he was the Devil and made a deal to save the guys failing newspaper company. That was the first time I had seen that one. It was great.

They were done so well. You can tell the ones that seemed a little rushed to make a deadline and then others had some great thought and work that went into them.

Thanks for pointing out he was the Penguin in Batman as I didn't make the connection. I loved the original Batman series too. LOL

I was reading today about Twighlight zone and there was another actor that was in Batman too. He played the Butler in Batman...was it Alfred in Batman?. I don't remember his real name but he was in the Lady Anne ship episode. I think he may have been the captain.

ETA: Yes, I found it again.

Alan Napier (Alfred from 1960's Batman) appears as captain of HMS Lady Anne on which all the other passengers seem to be old.

Billy Mumy plays Anthony in It's A Good Life where everyone is afraid of him, it doesn't show the end, but the man that drinks and ticks Anthony off and he makes him a jack in the box then outs him in the garden where he sings You Are My Sunshine.

Just dropping in to play catch up with the posts. Thank you all so much for your kind words and condolences in the loss of my cousin. She died in her sleep from a massive heart attack at 39 years old. I will miss her smiles, the laughs, and her contagious orneriness (sic). I had her girls for a few days and they are sad but somewhat better. Hopefully time will ease their pain. Again, thank you all for being here when things get bad. Love you bunches. :blowkiss:

Nore, I hope you are feeling better and Jingles are being sent your way.

1964 - There! I’ve Said It Again - Bobby Vinton makes to the charts.

Burt , Evening Shade. MariLou (?) Henner too.

Hello Nore. Great to see you chime in. Hope you recover fully and can get well soon.

I remember the Evening Shade TV show too. I didn't realize it was on for almost 4 whole seasons.

This link below says it aired on CBS from September 21, 1990 to May 23, 1994

Woodrow "Wood" Newton played by (Burt Reynolds)
Ava Evans Newton played by (Marilu Henner)
