Keep your pipes from freezing during cold spell (with clip)
"Plumber Richard Lee, who's been dealing with these problems for more than 30 years, says that the long - standing myth of leaving your sink slowly dripping all day can do more harm than good, especially if your sink is connected to an outside wall.
"The drippy faucet thing we should address a little bit, too, because I have quite a few people that will end up with a kitchen sink on an outside wall.....what ends up happening is the water droplets will go down the drain and freeze and the next ones will come down and freeze and the next thing you know, you're dealing with a frozen drainline which is even more difficult to repair," says Lee.
Lee says prevention is not only wise, but easy and affordable. He cautions against lowering your heat too much when you're sleeping or working; he suggests leaving it in the mid- to high-60s. He also suggests leaving cupboards open, so the heat can warm the pipes inside..."

Nurmi hopes this isn't true, but he laments: "I think no matter what I do, I will always be tied to Ms. Arias. I'm sure that if there is an obituary when I die, it will read: 'Jodi Arias' former attorney.'"..."
