IMO at first Cindy thought it was just Casey being a "spiteful bi***" just like before, taking Caylee away from her to punish her for not babysitting enough.
By the time she made the 3rd 911 phone call you can hear in her panicky voice that the truth has dawned on her..

Which truth? The one where she thought Caylee had been kidnapped? That FCA didn't know where Caylee was?

Again I am not defending CA, but we really can't say for sure what she was thinking can we? Except that she wanted Caylee and didn't have her and didn't know where she was. That would panic any grandmother I think.

Ok, now I know this is a huge stretch of the imagination...

I've been thinking how huge of a miscarriage of justice there was in this case. I understand the laws of Double Jeopardy in general. There are some slightly different clauses in each State's Constitution. I've already run by the idea of the State appealing, and that doesn't abide with Double Jeopardy. So, in brain storming, I thought of the ACLU. I'm not entirely clear in how one would go about pursuing this (I'm not a lawyer), but there are many clear-headed, intelligent, thoughtful members here and if we put all our minds together, maybe we can figure some loop-hole (that probably doesn't exist until we brain storm) to either get a new trial or some way that justice will be served.

I just hate to see these lies the defense has put forth continue to allow a matricidal woman her freedom. It just sickens me. :puke:

Who's up for a brain storming session on what we, the people, can change to see justice served?

I wish. I am not a lawyer, but IIRC the only way the state could ever appeal a jury verdict would be if jury tampering came to light. That's it.

We could only pray that one of the P12 pinheads ..... never mind.

Of course..he will only accept soft ball interviews like Dr. Drew where he doesnt know all the facts and allows JB to spinnnnn... and hawk his book. :banghead:

Did anyone watch JB on Dr. Drew last night? I forgot he was going to be on and left the tv on after NG...caught myself in time and turned him right off :what:.
Just wondering what his spin was last night. I did catch 5 minutes of him on another fox show yesterday and he said something along the lines of, all this new evidence just creates more doubt :banghead:. I tried to find a link but couldn't. It was the show that comes on right after Shepard Smith.

Just more blame on George. Dr. Drew seemed to buy into his own theory that Casey could have been searching ways to commit suicide.

But....JB spouted that it could not have been Casey making the searches as per George she had left at 1:50....so therefore, it had to be George. But then was receptive to Dr. Drew's "theory" that it could have been Casey searching ways to commit suicide. So...which is it? She was home, or she wasn't????

All of which hinged on believing JB's timeline, which we all know is off by an hour.

But....but....but....I thought according to sales stats updated here on an almost daily basis he hadn't even sold a "bunch" of books....?

I saw a bunch of them at the Good Will store the other day for 1.00 / ea. They can't even give them away. :rocker:

This is not news and it is old. I hope it is OK to post if not please remove. It is good for laughs and shows what an unusual person JB is. One would actually think that he could be a comedian.

Boy, talk about memory lane! This is my favorite:

Baez: "...so the decomposition could be from, say, a half eaten hamburger left in the trunk?"
Dr. Vass: "A person would have to eat 10 pounds of hamburger, it would have to be raw, and they would have to have eaten it while wearing a bag over their head."

Dr. Vass was so great!

Sidebar O/T folks!

There are sometimes in life that I want to SHOUT OUT and immediately call another WS member....Just happened!!!!

LG!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was driving doing errands and heard a report on the NORMAL radio news that a country/state nationally run news organization "over there" which I now can't remember, but assume North Korea, ..........did a 52 page photo spread of Kim Jung Il (spelling?) was just voted by onion.com as the sexiest man alive!!!

The d*(m national newspaper thought it was real! LOL!! I was laughing so hard I think I p**ed on myself thinking of LG and how she saw an onion report the other day and thought was real. I soooooooooooooooooo much wanted to call her and say.........LG, look, others that are news organizations out of the US don't know about the satire site and did a whole thing on him winning it.

Anyway....back to y'alls regularly scheduled discussions! ..............Glad I had my Pampers/astronaut diapers on (just kidding).

Love ya LG!!!!!!! And it's so great that we have such a knowledge of others that we can have these "WS family" moments!

:seeya:

Baez buys bunches of books back everyday...he has to do something with them or they will fill up his closet and he wont have anywhere to go when he gets scared. :floorlaugh:

I wonder if that DID happen... ??? When they came dressed up that day, their minds were made. How does that happen? Aren't they not supposed to speak about the case with each other during the trial? (I've never been a juror, and I've forgotten what rules they were given.)

I could see that right up until the part in the 911 call where she says "I found my daughter's car today, and it smells like there's been a dead body in the da*m car". I think something more than a missing child was on her mind at that point.

You know I respect your opinion always, lg, but I think CA was in denial about FCA's behavior for years before Caylee's murder. If I were in her shoes, dealing with a sociopath (and I lived my whole childhood in Dysfunction Junction so I know from crazy), I would probably also do a "disconnect" between reality and the truth, when it came to something this horrific.

But I still believe that when Cindy and George got the car out of impound and were assaulted with the smell of decomposition (as a nurse and an ex-cop, they would know!), then the light lit and CA went into denial-and-coverup mode, and George just went along to get along.

And I still say Caylee wasn't the first innocent creature FCA offed. All those pets in the backyard.....

Just my opinion, of course. Not being a cop/nurse/lawyer/chemist.

Well, we can discuss this case six ways 'til Sunday and Casey Anthony still got away with murder. Nothing we can say or do will ever undo that damage. Cindy and George have to live with that the rest of their lives. Blood money from Dr. Phil notwithstanding, I wouldn't want to be in their shoes.

Melich was my favorite witness!!! I want to elect him as the next President!!! (I may write him in in 4 years.)

Baez to Detective Yuri Melich: “Did you ask her [Casey Anthony] if she ever committed suicide?”

Melich: "No. If she had ever committed suicide, she wouldn’t be able to answer my questions."

:laughcry:

Prosecutor Jeff Ashton told WKMG that this evidence could have made a difference in Anthony’s murder trial.

"It's just a shame we didn't have it. This certainly would have put the accidental death claim in serious question," said Ashton.

George and Cindy Anthony released this statement Monday through their attorney, Mark Lippman:

“Recently a book was written which made libelous statements and raised baseless speculation about who performed computer searches relating to the term 'fool-proof suffocation.' This weekend it was discovered that this particular search term was never brought to the attention of the State Attorney’s Office. Further this search was never brought out in the trial and was never discussed or disclosed to the Anthonys. However, while it is clearly more than an oversight, the trial is over and the Anthonys are continuing to move forward with their lives. The only finality that this newest information brings is that once again the evidence clearly vindicates George Anthony from any argument made by any party relating to his involvement with whatever happened to his granddaughter, Caylee Anthony.”

Sure I would but not at first - we think these things happen to other people but can't imagine them happening to us. Besides CA initially bought the kidnapping/nanny story - it saved her from thinking the unthinkable.

I look at my own daughters and try to imagine them killing anyone - as my first thought. I just can't grasp that and I don't think CA and GA did either. Seriously who thinks that way. I haven't seen my grand daughter for a month so I guess my daughter killed her??? If they had found Caylee dead - then maybe but I just can't wrap my mind around it otherwise. Sure they knew FCA was a thief - but a killer? just assumed she was?

FCA was an adult. She could leave home, take her child and never called her mother again if she wanted to. It's not like she was underage.

Trying to wrap my mind around CA's thinking will probably never happen. She had hours to think about what happened and I'm sure she had to have had thought's of some pretty unthinkable things, she was even sent home from work for her being distraught. I just think when she saw FCA with her own eye's but not Caylee she had to have known. I believe she chose to believe the nanny story cuz it was easier to think that then to think your child could murder your grandchild. If that snake in that swamp told CA that it killed Caylee she would have believed it. She would have believed anything except that FCA murdered Caylee.
It's sort of like the press release from the Anthony's about that suffocation stuff, all they had to say really was that it exonerated GA, but whatever forbid they don't say that it was FCA herself. The majority of us have known all along GA wasn't the monster he was painted to be.

But....but....but....I thought according to sales stats updated here on an almost daily basis he hadn't even sold a "bunch" of books....?

Well he doubled his sales. From two books to four, in one day! :woohoo:

I think it does create more doubt - in his story that Caylee drowned and George was complicit in the crime. It creates doubt in his claim that FCA is innocent. It definitely does. it almost leaves no doubt how FCA committed this crime.

Yes, I can say for sure she was thinking "the damn car smells like there's been a dead body in it"..

Yes, but at what point in time are you talking about? I was talking about the point in time when she made the 3rd 911 call. She hadn't had hours to digest these thoughts.

And later on - there is a big difference between thinking and admitting. Don't you think so?

Yes, I can say for sure she was thinking "the damn car smells like there's been a dead body in it"..

Well here we go again. Yes, she did say that. But whose dead body??? I don't think her mind immediately jumped to Caylee's dead body in the car at that point in time.

Edited to add - I don't want to turn this into a CA thread and I can easily agree to disagree with you on these points.
