Morning all.

This is a really really rushed post, sorry I can't be here with you for the most part of this week.

Court reporters did a good job but missed some details.

Henry is not just toast, now he's fried too!

HvB said in his initial statement that he didn't come out of the toilet until after the assault on Teresa!

Joubert said (paraphrasing) the spatter on his socks was from being in close proximity to the attack on Teresa.

He also said the duvet was moved off Henri's bed after the attacks, and was found on the floor close by Rudi (at the foot of the bed). On the left bottom corner of Henri's duvet was a pattern of the sharp edge of the knife blade with Rudi's blood! He also said the knife edge was clean.

Lastly he said in his annexure he explains why he doesn't think the attacks happened in a sequence! (from my memory - maybe not his exact words). I'll see if I can transcribe the relevant portions tonight.

My mind is in overdrive about Tortoise's revelations Joubert believes the attacks might not have happened in the sequence HvB said.
Hmmmm, he's coming unstuck, I hope his family turn to justice, if they can forgive.... but accept the reality, HvB murdered his family!

J: Grey Duvet ex 139 had multiple spatter blood stains,full penetration,this is criteria used to assist in differentiating spatter

Deposition of spatter on 139 duvet was impact by force

Donor of the blood stains on grey duvet 139 was Rudi and Martin

Correction exhibit 139 had Rudi's blood stains on it and exhibit 138 had Martin & Rudi's stains

Yesterday Joubert said 139 was the duvet taken from Rudi's bed and 138 was the duvet on the ground at the bottom of Henri's bed

J: during my officail duties I presented the knife to Dr Dempers who analysed it in my presence and I returned it to my office

J: I compiled a statement wrt position on scene of grey colour duvet (138) and movement of objects creating patterns on the scene

J: blood stains on the body of Rudi, patterns on the head of Rudi, spatters on adjacent house wall, position of victims during

incident, possible position of suspect during incident

There was a void on Henri's bed which suggests his duvet had been there at the time of incident and removed thereafter

J: I placed duvet in 2 different positions 2 indicate the position the duvet cover may have been in-photos of 2 possible positions

J is reading out the manners he folded the duvet to reconstruct where Henri's duvet (138) had been at the time of blood shed

J: Shape of the void on henri's bed displays characteristics, the shape and lines, of the grey duvet marked 138

J: I observed multiple blood stains on the knife blood

J: blood clot on knife blade, the knife was likely moved or placed on the bed

Spatter blood stains on knife blade, not possible to define exact mechanism the stains suggest gravity probably created as result of blood dripping from the source of motion when rudi van breda, with mulitple head injuries was moved off the bed

J: Spatter blood stains on knife blade which suggests impact or alternatively penetration splatter blood stains on knife blade, circular

J: Non- spatter blood stain on knife blade, irregular shape, lateral movement. Suggests contact as deposition mechanism

Probably created by contact between knife blade and bloodied object

Joubert examined the duvet. Saw multiple bloodstains and spatter bloodstains. Full penetration of the fabric????.

One blood stain belonged to Martin van Breda. Another to Rudi van Breda.

DNA of Rudi and Martin identified from cuttings. He made 12 cuttings.

Second duvet. 14 cuttings. Rudi's DNA found on this duvet.

Void noted on Henri #VanBreda's bed (which broke bloodstain pattern) indicates it may have been caused by duvet being moved, Joubert says

In my opinion suspect was standing next to the bed when Rudi was attacked

Impact spatter patterns originate from and area on the bed transport pattern impact was projected and originated from area in the vicinity of the bed. Injuries sustained by Rudi, horizontal and linear wounds sustained to the back of his head

my opinion is that rudi was lying on his stomach with head facing adjacent wall when he was attacked

Marli had lacerations on her lower arm which suggests she had defended herself
