If that is the case, I don't understand why he filed a new List of Witnesses this morning.

Not sure if any of you out there saw the "HLN After Dark" show last night. The mock trial for the in-studio jury was "DID JODI ARIAS COMMIT 1st DEGREE MURDER?"

In summary 11 out of 12 jurors voted Guilty. 1 juror voted "not guilty", and as everybody knows, that's all it takes for Ms. Arias to walk...

No, as everybody knows, that would be all it takes for a hung jury and a retrial. Also, on HNL, you don't really think they would have anything unscripted? Of course not, a mock vote of 11-1 is SOOOOOOoooooo much more fun to talk about on the show.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but they also didn't deliberate for several days while the lone juror actually gets to talk it out with the other 11. I wouldn't read that much into anything from HNL.

Sorry all, I was being a little facetious when I meant "she would walk". However, given the highly public nature of this trial, having a hung jury or mistrial would be disastrous. Getting an impartial jury smarter than a pack of orangutans for a retrial would be a tough undertaking at this point IMO.

Yeah, that whole hung jury thing worked out so well for Phil Spector.

Completely agree with everything you've said mck16, I just hope the jury sees it too. I don't know what's wrong with me :scared: I was feeling like this was going to be a slam-dunk but today I'm filled with doubt about the jury. I think some lingering issues from that "other" trial are coming up for me... :blushing:

Is it true that JM isn't allowed to say that JA wasn't acting in Self-defense, or that she murdered? I haven't heard him say this kind of thing throughout the trial, and it bothers me, that there could be that one juror that doesn't know he isn't allowed to use that terminology, and reads into that.

I get worried over the little things, kind of like that one juror on HLN that worried about 14 hours, and seemed to disregard, the intentional planning, the sliced throat, stabbing, shooting, etc. and the beyond 14 hours of proof???

All the defense wants is to confuse the jury just enough to get one juror to vote not guilty. It is incredible to me to think that the judge would allow this last minute wrangling. In the off chance she makes a bad decision, I believe JM will eat him alive. So good luck with that Nurmi.
