ITA that JA was not naïve. Clearly. She moved out of her parents' home at the age of 17 and was living with BJ....she had quite a few years and quite a few relationships. She knew the ropes, so to speak. She played Travis. Until she knew she was never going to win. So she slaughtered him. And then hopped on top of her next potential ride to the good life....... She is capable of far more than we can imagine. It's scary to even think about.
Remember....she had just slashed and shot Travis to death...but it was okay and natural to grind on Ryan Burns...after all.....she was single! Agggghhhh!

I agree and I think he was starting to feel the pressure to find the right woman, get married and start a family. I think some people may mistake that urgency for 'womanizing'. :twocents:

'Zactly!

He was just such a good man with a desire to better himself every day and make the world a better place. He treated people with kindness and caring. It makes me so sad to hear anyone saying anything otherwise.

This is one of the most beautiful tributes I've seen.

ETA - I found this song on Twitter but there's tweets saying the singer is Det Flores daughter. That's not the case. The original Youtube linked tweeter says the song is from the singer and Det Flores daughter.

You would think that his roomates would wonder about the dog penned downstairs, and pup probably got hungry and thirsty, and his family seems so close to him. I'm not suggesting anything but it's just very odd indeed.

Well, not odd at all when you remember that Travis had a lot of friends and an open door policy at home. The roommates were in and out and just paying for a room so they probably thought a friend was feeding the dog and there was a doggie door for the dog. I think that's just the way young men are.

At the 45 second mark, Jodi tells the jury the only thing they need to know about her entire testimony, and that of all the experts who she lied to, " I began to tell him what I thought would purport to what the evidence would show."
That is what she did with Detecive Flores.
That is what she did on direct, it is what she tried to do on cross and it certainly is what she tried to do with each lie she looked at the jury and told.

Just that one admission is all the jury needs to throw out her entire defense case, in its entirety.

"I do not remember fear being a prominent emotion that day", Jodi slipped up and said before she caught herself.

Yes, and I cannot imagine this guy will be a better witness than Dr. Horn. I felt like Dr. Horn didn' t elaborate, he didn't try to add bs, he just told the facts.
Still, I can imagine this jury having 100+ questions for him no matter what he says, which I don't get, but they're in the courtroom every day, not me so who knows what they're thinking. I'm sure he will be able to find one study from somewhere which says just because a bullet goes through a brain doesn't mean they will get immediately incapacitated, or find one study out of millions where the bullet managed to not damage the brain in a similar situation.
But oh well, nothing we can do, it's all in the jury's hands.
He well may attempt to refute Horn. Even if successful, though, one has to ask: SO WHAT?! What does it matter, in the overall scheme of things? Whether Travis was shot first or last, incapacitated or not, he was killed in the most brutal way possible. Nothing anyone says can change that. Nothing anyone says in any way mitigates the horror of the manner in which Jodi Arias brutally murdered Travis Alexander. No matter what this witness has to say, IT IS MEANINGLESS in the overall scheme of events.

Sorry for the OT, it was discussed previously but I cant find where...

I was bored and looking through pictures and it just amazes me how "art" imitates life. Throughout her life, JA seems to have taken on the personality/thoughts/interests of whomever she was around indicating she had no sense of self. Nothing inside. Her drawings are the same, though I'd concede she has marginal talent (better than i could do even tracing) but from what I can see, again - nothing inside.

She didn't even attempt to change anything, however small, to make these drawings in any way 'her own'. Even the tiniest details are exact - hand placement, wrinkles in the clothing, shading, lighting, same...

I'd already seen these:

Natalie Portman Dior Ad
Pill drawing
Malboro Ad

and found these:

Frank Sinatra

Heart Hands

JA imitating Art that imitates the life she lived by imitating others. Creepy

Good finds, I found the Elizabeth Taylor one last night...

So tomorrow is JUST Dr. Geffner's testimony, correct? Or maybe his testimony and the new PT witness? I'm trying to plan out the rest of my week....working tomorrow afternoon but may be able to check in on it via TV...work Thursday morning but will back home for the afternoon....I need a scheduling secretary!

NO - Texas isnt JUST Cowboy country :puke:

You can back the TEXANS like the rest of us REAL football fans!!!

Snoopy, I do when my Dolphins are not a contender (which is quite often over the last decade :tears:). I am such a huge football fan that once my team is out I have to find another team to root for. I'm in west TX and it sure is Cowboy country here.

How can this go to the jury if the DT expert is on Wednesday! And we all know nurmi doesn't move with alot of speed. How will this Jill be able to testify? Because closing arguments are for THURSDAY? Is it realistic to believe it will come together.?
O/t did y'all see the judge inn the Zimmerman case. She ain't no joke and works weekends.
Maybe one of the verified lawyers can confirm, but perhaps the scope of the questioning will be only limited to what Dr. Demarte testified to and that will limit the amount of questions to be asked under direct examination? :please: We all know Juan will make quick work of this, but the defense will take a mile if you give them an inch to start with.

And my all time favorite... "Do u have a problem w/ your memory???"!!! Love it! I've even said it to my dh when he's forgotten something!

I find myself saying "right?" when trying to confirm that my son understands what I am saying to him. It annoys him to no end. "Why are copying Mr. Martinez Mom?" :floorlaugh:

I believe that a person's own moral code would keep someone from being played or participating in activities or situations that don't feel 'right'. No one can play me without my being front and center. Fool me once, kind of thing.
Personal accountability is a huge concept. If anyone, male or female acts in ways that make me question my value to them, it's up to me to step away.
And I think from what we've heard and seen (shudder!), JA was in it up to her pigtails... Travis had more moral fiber than most young men when it comes to dating and seeing women. Being characterized as a player is all JA's got. He was popular and seen as a good catch. It's so distasteful to keep hearing and reading the DT spin it to make Travis seem so much less than he really was.
JA had her eyes on what she saw as the prize. A good looking man, who she was sure was going to be her husband. Money, success, popularity. Like a leech, she was going to ride Travis's success and station in life for all it was worth. IMO
O' especially after hearing Jodi Ann's father claim she wanted to marry him.

But, Travis, I get the feeling he was a great friend, but not quite there as the guy these "church-going Mormon " girls wanted to marry. I think they could feel that he was still a bit of a player, just a feeling I get.

The Defense can have this new expert on stand all day tomorrow. I just hope JM doesn't put on yet another expert to counter this new Defense expert. JM's case is strong. He doesn't need it.

I would agree with this provided Judge SS gets a grip and tells the defense flat out - no comments about the physiology of the brain, meaningful motion or activity - he is not an MD and cannot provide such an opinion, it is beyond his training to make such claims. If she does not draw this line then JM should be allowed to refute him, even if JM has torn him apart and discredited him on cross. I say this because, to this point, the Judge has allowed the DT to present at least two less than adequate persons to testify. This should be about the truth of how Travis was murdered, not professional bs'ers.

I'm trying to decide if I should take Thursday and/or Friday off to watch the closing arguments undisturbed. Or maybe Monday for possible verdict?? Decisions, decisions.

i just don't know why there is this whole controversy of the gun being shot first. i mean if you shoot someone there is going to be blood, especially if it's in the head. i used to work at a care home and one old lady got out of bed and fell, hitting her head on the dresser, she skinned her scalp and was laying in a giant pool of blood when i found her. she was fine, a little dizzy, but i was amazed at what a small would would do bleeding wise.

if jodi shot travis and he fell on top of her there would be a bloody mess from the struggle, and the proof is just not there.

is it wrong of me saying I could care less what the Defense says during trial tomorrow..i just want to watch Juan rip to shreds ALV's buddy?
