Howdy. I took like a four day break from WS to give my poor hands a break and to give certain other Ws'er's a break from my obviously unwanted sarcasm. Woke up this morning to a mini tornado in the backyard. Winds at 60 something MPH and winter reemerging after yesterday's 80 something degrees. Anyway....cannot WAIT for closing. Going to watch JM but plan to skip Wilmot.
Sounds like my morning. Stuff in the backyard spread EVERYWHERE!

Welcome back....I love me some sarcasm.

For me, I took that juror question to mean that every autopsy Dr. Horn had performed on a frontal lobe gunshot wound was dead meaning all of Dr. Horn's cases were deceased, but these other experts expected the jury to believe that not only would this gunshot wound NOT HAVE KILLED Travis, but that it would not have incapacitated him either, that he would have been able to do what Jodi claims with a bullet in his head. The comparison was what I thought this juror was pointing out, all of Dr. Horn's gunshot wounds to frontal lobe are dead on a table but Travis is ambulating and actually attacking.

JMO - this entire issue is meant by Ms. Wilmott to distract the jury from the obvious. That being that the autopsy report also reflects the lack of blood inside the skull and brain, which verifies that Travis was dead, no beating heart, when the gunshot was inflicted. Dr. Geffner with all his expertise was never asked about this, nor did he offer any comment. He simply prostituted his opinion about a non issue while following Ms. Wilmott's lead, all the time claiming he is offering no diagnosis as the term PTSD flows like a river from his mouth.

If he maintained a non-biased view or kept his integrity in tact, he would have pointed out this issue to Ms. Wilmott. He was a hired gun, and willingly acted the part and did not care if he threw an actual medical doctor (Horn) and an up and coming colleague (DeMarte) under the bus. IMO - another arrogant "professional" (used loosely) who does more harm than good to his profession and people who actually suffer from the issues discussed. He is the reason that simple everyday people like me think that a majority of head shrinkers are nothing but loons themselves.

Was amazed that somehow JA didn't get a migraine or collapse from hunger yesterday. How did that happen?

I **LOVE LOVE LOVE** (did I say love?) that the jury gets instruction before closing arguments. It will leave the facts in their minds right before they go to deliberate. (it will go state, defense, STATE).

iirc in the CA trial and also the Jason Young trial the jury was given instruction after closing arguments.. I am anxiously awaiting the last word from Juan Martinez before the jury is let loose. Can you imagine how they must all be chomping at the bit to talk about all they have seen and heard?????

TY Rose222 you are a peach :)

Now to catch up on what I missed before closing starts.

I pray that the jury realizes that whether she shot Travis or stabbed him first has no bearing on the fact that she planned this murder and deserves the punishment for her crime. She better not be let go on a technicality like not being able to prove the order of wounds. There have been many people convicted of murder without a body and the wounds can't even be determined!

She needs room underneath her shirts for a stun belt with 50,000 to 70,000 volts.

"The deputy in the court room has the ability to hit a switch and that in essence tase the inmate," Jones said.

Wouldnt it be amazing to see on live tv JA losing it and trying to walk out?:floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

I have been meaning to ask, is the stun belt standard equipment for defendants or just for trouble makers?

I have a Birthday Luncheon to attend today at noon. So i should be good to go back here by the time Jury Instructions are complete. I cant wait to see Juan bring it all home. Hard to believe this time next week we should have a verdict :please:

PLEASE take no personal offense but I have to finally tell you that your avatar makes me as ill today as it did the very first day I saw it.... but you are a lovely WSer and I always enjoy your posts. Wheeew, think it was the effect of this trial, but just had to finally get that off my mind.

No problem. That's what I want. Everybody to remember "her" at her very best....
:floorlaugh:

what time there same as east coast?

...Atlantic time zone...ended at midnight....stayed awake replaying everything in my mind...hippocampus overload...:floorlaugh:

But Josie1986 takes the cake I think it was 4 am in Scotalnd and she went almost til the end-the dear trooper....

I want Juan to stop talking around lunch time -- give the jury the time to process everythng doing lunch.

And I don't want to listen to the DT at ALL. I'll probably go into auto tune-out at that point. Blah, blah, blah.

ITA. Worst case scenario, all it means is that they leave open the possibility that the shot came first. Okay, so what? In order to side with the enemy, that would mean they'd be on board with her convenient fog at the time of the knife attack. 29 stab wounds, near decapitation and no memory of it. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

It's a non-issue. A bullet went through his brain. Since the brain is enclosed in a membrane, it went through the membrane. It's no big deal because if a bullet went through his brain--it HAD to puncture the dura.

Willmott threw a temper tantrum because she's too inept to know the specifics of her cases--she actually went to the length of getting Geffner to talk about how there was no brain injury based on one item in the ME's typo about the dura. Why wouldn't she research what that means? She's not bright. JMO

Can juan do an exhibit during closing? I really would like the jury to see a video of a bullet going through a brain shaped ballistics gel.

:please: I hope so !

JMO, but I would have exhibit-after-exhibit of the autopsy photos -- I know they are brutal and I know they would be very upsetting to see ...

But I would want the jury to get the message that this was NOT "self defense" -- it was PRE-MEDITATED 1st Degree Murder !

:moo:

That's the running joke at my house. Everything asked of me is met with one of two standard replies.

1 you have legs
2 you have hands

My standard line is "I don't work for you." lol...My poor husband didn't know what he was getting into!

I am jealous. So many of my friends are becoming grandparents.
Honestly my daughter is still too young to have a baby. She was married for 2 years and is now divorced. Her hubby came back from Iraq and had changed. Its a good thing that she didn't get pregnant or she would be raising her baby alone.
I cannot wait for grandbabies!!
For now I will just share your joy!!

Do we have a new grandparents thread downstairs? If not we should!!

That'll depend on how soon he actually starts talking. Jury instructions by the Judge will be the first order of business today.
