I know many of you are sure this is the smoking gun, that's fine, I am still on the fence and think there is too much to yet consider. If you go to any of the google maps anad type in 27815 it bring ups a big area, 27518 being his own zipcode. It also comes up zoomed out, when you zoom in it never centers back to the little flag you see in the zoomed out format. So the Pros wants us to believe that in less than 60 seconds, he opened google earth, searched 27815, zoomed in and found Fielding Drive which is in another zip code. I am going to wait for more evidence.

All of you saying her poor family and the children, I wish they did not have to go through this either, but remember the man in the defendant's chair is their father and they will see how you all spoke about him too when they get older and how quick you are all to say he is guilty before all the evidence has been entered or cross examined.

Found the post I was referring to where he showed the 2007 and 2008 maps....very telling to me on 3-23-11

The state used both a 2007 and 2008 Google map today to illustrate where the body was found(satellite)
Both plainly showed the cul de sac and the dump site.
Brad could have jumped on Google Earth/Maps and easily panned over and seen that area off Fielding...a mere 3 miles from the home.

Wowzers! There you go! And he did, too, the ... :loser:

but I thought the S/W was executed on the house office was 15th, and evidence from house was collected on the 16th?..Did Brad take his laptop with him when he left to meet his lawyer on the 15th? not attend the pressor for announcement they had recovered Nancy???..

Boy this case is so timeline sensitive isnt it?:rocker:

The S/W was served on the 15th at which time the police secure the house, Brad's laptop was left in the house powered on.

Yep, I read it on golo and may have mis interpreted (see quote below from golo). Could be the 'expert' was creating the TIFs.

hmmmm this testimony was an "expert" from the Durham Police Department. Expert & Durham Police, oxymoron? Same police department that had no problem creating false evidence and hiding evidence in the Duke case. Just sayin'

Oh my, this way off topic but I just can't help myself. <redact> was the FBI agent that did this investigation was, in fact, a Durham Police 'expert' working for the FBI. He was also the CID assigned to the Duke Lacrosse Case .

No doubt this evidence is damning for the defense but... I'm still on the fence until I hear the defense's cross/response/case.

I would suspect that the wording is WRAL's not the detectives. TIFs are created by simply browsing a website so in a sense, any time one visits a website one is spending time "creating" TIFs. If the time stamp for when one set of downloaded Google Map tiles (in TIF format) is one minute behind another set of downloaded Google Map tiles (again, in TIF format) then for all intensive purposes all it took was for BC to scroll and zoom to Fielding Drive was one minute... and yes, he was "creating" those TIF files.

TIFF is something completely different and whomever stated that TIF is a tapped image file or some other such nonsense is misspeaking. A TIFF is a near lossless picture format that results in a high-quality image typically used by graphic artists and publishing as it does not lose as much information to compression as JPEG (or JPG as Windows loves to put it). Thus they are very, very large and with the lack of detail in a Google Map it makes absolutely no sense to create a TIFF from that.

Hi bloghooligan; I don't think we're supposed to name agents / details, think you may wish to edit? Just sayin - with good intention. Someone pls correct me if I'm wrong. Tks.

Deep post - very true: perhaps BC should have thought a little harder before he did what he did to his daughters' mama! Thought about the consequences his actions would have on the little girls. But no, he thought of himself - as always - BC comes first. Control freak. He has to live with himself - and with the knowledge of how this one heinous act has ripped not one, but two families completely apart!

What gets to me is he must have really and truly thought he'd actually get away with it ... thank GOD JA's instincts kicked in when they did. Just way too sad NC didn't get away from this brute much, much earlier.

IMOO. Sad day for everyone when the realization of this whole case truly hits home

Yes, especially since we discover this wasn't a heat of passion moment. Another angry argument gone really bad. It was a planned out execution of the mother of his children. All the while knowing those little children would suffer great loss. It's completely heartbreaking IMO.

I believe that the seach warrant for the house would also include the home office....so it was one in the same. I see the search warrant date stated the 16'th but I think this has been discussed in court as an error. The date shown as July 16 should have been July 15....not 100% on this though.

I wonder about many things, one thing I wonder is, could the defense have a copy of the system backup of BC's laptop from the Cisco servers that shows information different from the FBI report?

Well, IF they do have a copy it was downloaded by Brad to some sort of memory stick, and given to his lawyer's on the 15th...and since apparantly the computer had been left in the house, turned on, there had been auto updates being executed for the following 27 hours..Nothing nefarious there, only how computers work..I have updates from my firewall about every 3 hours..just gives me a ballon to say it was completed..I have no idea how that appears inside my computer data files:waitasec:

I don't remember an exact time...only that he was late because he had to help Nancy with the kids. Which, we knew, was not the case.
I, too, would like to see the video from Lowes Food if there is one?

Didn't he claim he bought beer on the way home that evening?

I understand what you are saying about his children; however, Brad was a SOB to Nancy. Even if he didn't kill her and we find out in some fashion that somebody else truly did, that doesn't negate the fact that the mother of his children was treated so poorly by him. So, when the kids read the posts of ours that point to his guilt, they will also be reading about the eyewitness testimony about how their father treated their mother, how he made her beg for mere grocery money, didn't pay the water bill(s), demeaned her in public and in private, destroyed her security in every aspect of her life, would not let her leave and go back to Canada,,,,,I could go on and on. And these are the facts about Brad Cooper the man--their father, regardless of anything else.
But I do see where you are coming from and I hope they will grow up never knowing the full truth. Those little girls, if they stay with the Rentz family, will be protected as much as possible from the truth about their father. I feel very strongly that the Rentz's have the integrity to love them and care for them without bad-mouthing their father.

Sure thing, gracie.
And I think there may be more stuff coming out ...
Horrific. Imagine those girls one day reading the transcripts of this case? These murderers don't give a nano-second's thought to the future lives of their loved ones. They have themselves *only* to blame for all and any negative publicity. Not the rest of the world.

Great pity...

It is possible but if it works anything like my company (albeit mine is significantly larger than Cisco) only a small portion of the hard drive where doc files and things that you really can't stand to lose are kept is ever backed up... at least in my case it doesn't include things like browser temporary files and such.

I'm now totally confused. I just zoomed on Fielding Drive in both Google Maps and Google Earth then did a search of my C: drive and found no .tif or .tiff files. If you're referring to temporary internet files, don't they have a different extension (i.e. .tmp ?)

Hi cody :)

Yea, didn't he pick up a 6-pack - went to the party then left around 8 with the girls??

At the very least I seemed to remember one of her friends saying that he didn't need to bring anything except beer for himself.

A few things... a) they're only generated in Internet Explorer... I don't believe they're generated by Firefox or something else. b) they are in a hidden folder. I've not a Windows machine in front of me but this seems like a reasonable procedure from what I remember. http://compnetworking.about.com/od/windowsnetworking/ht/findtempfiles.htm

listen, and hiding passports, important papers, etc. Suddenly the woman goes missing the day after a fight over the
fact that the man did not give the woman the expected allowance. The man NEVER EVER withdrew the money from his
bank - not that Friday when it was expected, and neither on Saturday when his wife was just "on a run or out with her friends." Coincidental?

The man removes the woman from all money accounts, bank accounts, credit cards - and doesn't tell her himself. Coincidental?

The man is agreeable to a separation and the woman taking children back to Canada until he sees a copy of a draft
separation agreement that would have him paying out 75 % of his income in child support and expenses and has a provision
for alimony, at which time he cancels all plans for the woman to be able to leave. Coincidental?

The man mops, cleans, scours, launders the very day his wife becomes missing when it's not usually in his nature to
be THE main housekeeper. Coincidental?

The man can't find his wife and makes some attempt to ride around and look for her - and yet when his cell phone rings
he doesn't answer it, and when he realizes it is a call from a police officer, doesn't return the call immediately.
Coincidental?

The man makes two trips to a Harris Teeter which happens to capture his image on camera on the very morning his wife becomes
missing. Coincidental?

The man wears odd clothes for the weather and changes shoes between trips to the store within a 15 min. time frame. Coincidental?

The man tells officers his wife went jogging. No running shoes can be UNACCOUNTED for except two left shoes. Coincidental?

The woman is found wearing only a jogging bra - no SHOES, no pants, no undies, no socks. Coincidental?

The man happens to name the exact clothing item his wife was wearing when found dead after he told police officers he did not see her
leave the home. Coincidental?

The man has neck scratches and a bandaid on his finger. Coincidental?

The man informs police that he and his wife for the last couple months have been getting along fine and any marital
discord hasn't taken place. Coincidental?

The man tells police that he doesn't know how to access the call history on his cellular phone when he clearly is an expert
in his technological field dealing with phones, prototype phones, video phones. Coincidental?

The man is not truthful with police regarding his phone calls and movements in the day and hours leading up to his wife's
disappearance. Coincidental?

The man was the last person to have seen or spoke to the woman before she became missing. Coincidental?

The woman disappeared during an unplanned run alone, when her normal pattern was to run with one of a couple different running
partners. Coincidental?

The man does not notify the woman's family for assistance in locating his missing wife. Coincidental?

Items seen less than 24 hours before the woman became missing were removed from a foyer area of the home. Coincidental?

The man gave two to three descriptions of clothes the woman wore the night before. Coincidental?

The woman showed no signs of sexual assault, her missing clothing (for a run) were never found, expensive diamond earrings

The woman died from strangulation (considered a soft kill where no blood evidence is left behind). Coincidental?

The man told countless lies in a sworn deposition regarding the events surrounding his marriage and events of the woman's death.

Add to the long list less0305 posted...so many, it's hard to keep them straight. But here are 3 that should be at the top of the list.

1- Her diamond necklace was recovered by CPD, tucked away in a drawer with her other jewelry. This same necklace was said by many close to her , including her immediate family, that she NEVER removed. She wore it 24/7 - running, bathing, swimming, sleeping. To think this was the first time she removed it, flunks the smell test.

2- The light colored shoes w/ distinct, large navy trim were never recovered. CPD identified the shoes from video after the home SW was completed. No problem, immediately after his arrest in October, they conducted another search, specifically looking for these shoes . Guess what? The shoes he wore to HT were never found. Must have thrown 'em away. Hmmm.

3- Det. Chappell: At 1:15pm on July 11, Brad accessed photos of Fielding Drive (where Nancy's body found) from his Cisco laptop
