pros: the police already had your info right? so no need to get it again (i.e. don't call us we'll call you)

pros 5 min later: so you called defense prior to trial but you did not call CPD? (i.e. thanks for not contacting us)

...pick one and stick to it BZ.

Ohhh Dear the Mr. called Kurtz...tomake sure everyone was aware of suspicious behavior in neighbourhood that night....interesting police responded by 1222AM..made a report...and they didnt think LE would have a record of this??..Interesting..Defense is not going to get much traction with this stuff IMO...

Lots of people want to get involved with this case, eh?...and the Bad Policemen didnt give them enough attention..so it seems..doesnt matter that whatever information they gave had no relevance or baring on THIS case:waitasec:

How well do you think the prosecution treating every witness an attention seeker is going to play to the jury? I think the prosecution at some point needs to provide some sort of actual rebuttal beyond "Don't you just want 15 minutes of fame" or it begins to look even more like other options beyond BC were simply dismissed.

Wife of previous witness regarding the van incident..."Middle of the Night"??? interesting how the time stampt gets later and later...I thought it was closer to midnight??..Course that may be middle of the night to some people?

For us 'night people' that's the 'shank of the evening'. :great:

:woohoo:

'They had a van in their neighborhood seven hours earlier'. Waiting for someone to go jogging the next day?

Not to worry, they had plenty to do hacking into the Cupper WiFi network and planting Google search results on his laptop, so they were not bored.

Has anyone noticed how HP and KL stare down each witness as they approach the stand? It seems odd to me - almost like "how dare you?"

Questions should have been:

Q: Did you give a full report to police that night?
A: Yes
Q: Did you withhold any information from the police that night?
A: No
Q: Did you have any other information about the event?
A: No
Q: Why would the police have a need to call on you again?
A: No reason.

There's the judge asking questions again. That was funny. She can't find anything on Fielding Dr and she lives there.

I hope the defense is building to something interesting. This is a huge letdown after FINALLY getting something concrete out of the prosecution.

I have no doubt each of these witnesses wanted to help.

I believe that if there were a man, or a group of men, that randomly attacked and killed a jogger in Cary there would have been incidents of potential kidnappings, or attempted assaults both prior to and after Nancy's disappearance.

If the defense is going to point the finger "away" from Brad - they better point it TO someone fairly specifically. I know they don't HAVE TO to prove reasonable doubt - but it's much easier for the jury to acquit if they feel like there's a reasonable alternative. I don't see that happening here.

Now we have white van, maroon van, etc. It's like throwing pasta against the wall and seeing what sticks.

Why is it that when the prosecution brought up tons of witnesses most people on this board didn't call them "attention seekers", but when defense calls up their witnesses, most everyone calls them "attention seekers"? I find this line of questioning by the defense much more pertinent and interesting that calling up tons of people who told the same story about NC and BC not getting along.

Thank you GL, love the posts..... big doggies, ghostbusters, gas logs turning on and off.

Seven hours later? Does that mean the hawaiian mormons were cruising Lochmere all night long, waiting. :waitasec:

Yes. While they were waiting to commit a murder, they decided to play a game of ringing doorbells just to see if they would be caught. Murderers do NOT play this sort of game or risk being caught.

This van thing is a bunch of poop, IMO. Not saying there wasn't one, just that they did not murder Nancy. Brad Cooper did that.

Ask if the hispanics tried to run away when spotted. Acted suspicious in any way.

I really love this women's drawl accent...Its neat!!

She saw two ladies jogging Sat AM after 7AM...clothing doesnt resemble Nancy..two left shoes and naked....Too bad she wasnt on her front porch in the middle of the night..could have seen Brad do his deposit on Fielding..

Here's yet another van with two hispanics leaning on it...(13/07/08)..

Reported to police...surprise surprise..the Bad Police didnt followup with her...

My first guess would be, whatever she reported didnt have any relevance to Nancy's case...Man oh Man....

I think defense is using this testimony (and the previous - taken collectively) to focus on how fast CPD zeroed in on BC to the exclusion of investigating any other possibilities. I don't think they are trying to tie it all into a single theory. Isn't this apparent?
