If you worked at one of these type places, or were friends/acquaintances
with someone who did, you could steal license plates and other IDs from towed/wrecked cars.

I dreamed last night that I was visiting people who had some kind of car business, it's like this big, fifties style garage/ parking lot area with a high
cement wall and loading dock, all old grease-stained cement; anyway I told them, 2 guys and girl, that I needed to go to work, I was going to be late
but then I felt like I was rufied, really disoriented but knew I had to get out but I would go in one door and around and I would be in the same place, finally I got outside, and saw my truck--I knew I was too messed up to drive, but also
I knew I had to leave. Finally get my truck open and the whole dash had been pulled out, but instead of wires, etc it was stuffed with loose upholstery stuffing, the old kind like horsehair.

Oh yeah, their house was a squatty type of one story dwelling that was attached to the big garage like place.

IDK, gobbledegoop from both cases .

But maybe RAT had a piece of furniture that is missing like a couch or futon.

or a junky van or other car he ditched in a car junkyard, or dismantled.

A lot of people are taking a long hard look at RAT since his release for a Virginia confinement. From 1996-98 or 99 we have nothing. All we know is that by mid 2002 he was in Charlottesville arrested and by 2003 he was in Lovingston, VA. By then he had a son by and the son's grandma was owning or co-owning and then abandoning the property where RAT was arrested.

In order to rule him out as a killer of young women in central Virginia, we need to figure out where he was from 1996-2002. and then it would be great to figure out where he originally came from before ending up getting arrested in 1992, in Virginia Beach. Based on what he says his DOB is, he would have been in jail from age 27 or 28 until 31.25 years old.

After checking every possible RAT, there was only one that had ties to south central Virginia and I could only get one address. It looked like a trailer park in NC. Depending on the age of that NC mugshot that is as close as I can get to anyone by his exact name.

Seems like he just turned up out of nowhere.

Sublime, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the case numbers are off on these charges..the abduction charge was 8/3/2013
the violation of probation should be 8/1/2013

the case number for the warrant in debt is actually the case number for the abduction :(

What a total .
A thought on his crimes....so many, could he have been caught for the petty crimes while in the midst of the possible abductions/killings/disposals? Some other genius on here suggested that maybe he learned from someone in jail, possibly true because when he's released from jail, he starts a pattern of petty crimes and "unlawful detentions" that come before and after stalking,
verbal assault, and assault charges. Maybe in the act of disposing a body he
made sure he had stolen goods from near the place he was disposing the body from
right there like, 'hey I'm not a murderer, you just caught yourself a thief.'
If LE goes back and checks those petty crime locations maybe his victims
are nearby. And the circumstances, like did these places front the beginning of a field or woods or any of the other markers, like bridges or car junkyards.
yeah, the showy vehicle and then another vehicle for the crime. Was he known to be working on a junker and then one day it was gone? LE should ask former employees if RAT knew how to build a car from parts, and if he worked in any jail machine shops ala Brandon Scott Lavergne.
Not sure I'd be capable of matching the petty crimes with the abductions and murderers in said areas. LE would need to know paint types and colors of victims' cars, and if any parts are laying around junkyards, especially gutted interiors, seats, dashboards, scraped up doors, fenders or dented side panels, they may contain that paint, and/or both victims' and perp's prints, DNA,death scent.
 
Question about court records. It has a listing for complainant. For example in the assault charges it lists Freddy C*** as the complainant. Is that the person that he is accursed of assaulting? Earlier posting made me think it was, and I think this is why we started saying that he was charged with stalking a male. But having poured through these records, they have complainant for traffic stops. This leads me to think this is actually the arresting officer and not the defendant.

I am trying to find details of his past crimes but I think I might be entering the wrong information. If in fact he was stalking a female and not a male like we thought, that is a big deal.
 
This RAT
His name is Randy (apparently not a nickname) Allen (with an 'e') Taylor.
Born 6/19/1965

Randy Taylor was convicted of burglary in late 1992. He got a sentence of 4.5 years. In 1992, Virginia inmates earned GCA (good time allowance). He was in jail from 5/1993-9/1996. He has 56 known court records in Virginia.

Not Our RAT
There's also a Randy Alan (note spelling) Taylor who's not our RAT, and who may be (or might not be) the RAT in Fort Walton Beach, and a Randolph Allen Taylor with a 1964 birthdate who's in coastal Virginia. An RAT in Conover, NC or Clincho, VA it is a different guy with a different DOB of 2/5/ There's also a RAT with a birthday in July of the same year as our RAT from Kentucky. There is a Randy Allen Taylor with same birthday in Wise County, VA. There is a Randy E Taylor in wise county with a 6/18 birthday lives in POUND, VIRGINIA 24279. He is a dealer and was convicted for murder.

Charges the Nancy Grace had on her show that we have not been able to confirm or find locations for are:

8/25/87: Malicious injury to property
10/20/87: Assault and battery
11/3/87: Disorderly Conduct--convicted
Burglary--convicted
3/7/86: Petit larceny--convicted
9/18/86: Grand larceny&#8212;convicted

Outstanding Questions
It is believed that he lived in Charleston, SC, Mount Vernon, WA, Santa Rosa, CA, Guerneville, CA, Rogue River, OR and Oak Harbor, WA but we don&#8217;t know when or details.

RAT&#8217;s court records in VA from 1993-2013 have all been reviewed.
Additionally, court records (Juvenile, Probate, or Criminal) for all of Washington State and Santa Rosa, CA were checked.

Neither a Louisa or Norfolk address hasn&#8217;t been found though his court records showed he lived there.

RAT has a couple of serious charges against him, burglary, arson, stalking etc. What are the details of these crimes?

We also know that RAT had a son with someone in 1998 or 1999. RATs VA arrest record was silent from 1996 when he got out of jail until 2003. At the first arrest in 2003 he listed his address as Lovingston and it is reasonable to think that was the same address that is associated with the mother of his child. A few months later at his second arrest in 2003 he lists Louisa, VA as his address. Did the mother say the arrest was the last straw and leave him? Was it her influence that was helping him stay on the straight and narrow between 1996 and 2003?
 
From the list of 56 charges, it looks like he moved many times in 2003. There are also a few warrants in debt since 2003. Those sometimes come from a previous "unlawful detainer" which in Virginia leads to an eviction.
 
I wondered if ST kicked him out and then he was living with friends and trying to find a place to live. That may be why we can't find a Louisa address. He was only there for 6 months max. If it was a friends couch for a couple of weeks it isn't gonna show up anywhere.

I think he's most likely been hiding behind a woman, keeping a low paranoid profile.
Pre 1993, probably the same, or in jail.

YOA in SC means he was sentenced under the Youthful Offenders Act. Basically meaning he couldn't be sentenced to more than 6 years if I understood correctly based on google results.

This is correct.

Also noticed they have the year of his birth as 1965.

He would have bee over 22 then though. Don't know what they consider a young offender but this guy seems to be able to charm his way out of things.

Oh no. Do I have the wrong guy? I didn't catch that. I have been looking in VA where they don't show the year just month and day. This is SUCH a common name and you wouldn't believe how many of them have similar rap sheets.

I was so excited too, and now I am not sure. :scared:

I think this is the correct guy. He would be 48 years old now with his birthday on June 19. I had noticed that further up thread his birth year is listed as 1964.
