So we now know he was born in Florida, and had trouble with police in New Jersey. they New Jersey court system seems to be down for maintainance right now, and I think you have to pay to see all records from the Florida courts? I couldn't figure it out anyway. Does anyone have the ability to do this?

Taylor, who was born in Pensacola, Florida, according to Albemarle district court records, had lived in New Jersey and told the former friend he didn't like going to the Garden State because "the cops harassed him." The former friend says Taylor didn't offer more details on that alleged harassment.

And THERE's the NJ connection! It was noted early on in comments on one of the media links, but nothing further in media until now. Now to find out WHAT he was 'harassed' about in the Garden State. :banghead:

the violation of probation should be 8/1/2013

the case number for the warrant in debt is actually the case number for the abduction

I am torn because previous stalking or assult charges could really be relevant to a history of this guy abusing women. However, when you read that latest Hook article you learn that a lot of his charges are against men and evidence of him having a tempor that scares people but not of him systematically stalking a young woman in prepeeration to abduct her. So I will leave it to the MSM to give us the details and leave my sluething to RAT himself.

With the information you posted here, it's easy to track down the details if somebody wants to, and you're right, it does not seem to show a pattern of stalking young women. In fact, I'm not getting a picture of a diabolical serial killer who has avoided getting caught for decades. I'm getting a picture of a total loser who can't drive from his ex-wife's to his current house without getting a ticket.

Which is not to say I think he's innocent of this crime, or even SC -- and of course impressions can be wrong. But I'm betting there's a lot more to this story than we think.

I am feeling the same way. Would love to see 10+ unsolved cases get wiped off through a single conviction. But I am having trouble with it. Most serial killers are carefully planners are able to commit series of crimes by not showing up on anyone's radar. Neighbors know them and say they saw nothing odd. They have good employment records.

RAT makes everyone suspicious. He has gotten pulled over many times. He gets caught all the time. Maybe he robbed twenty homes before getting caught, but I think given his age, it wasn't a lot. He got caught in SC and didn't do time then moved to Norfolk got caught right away and did time. He doesn't seem like a criminal mastermind.

One thing I will point out, he seems to have been the custodial parent of his son, at least for one of the time. Makes you wonder what the mother is like is living in a camper with RAT is the better option. But he seems to have really tried to provide for his son thought he had no skills and a ridiculous rap sheet.

I guess I could see it either way. We just don't know enough. He could be a master criminal who enjoyed getting pulled over by the cops a lot because he knew what he did and they were too dumb to figure it out.

Or

He could be the most unlucky guy on earth who somehow managed to tie himself as the last person seen with two missing girls. How can't hold a job or drive down the street without getting arrested.

I really hope the FBI has a rock solid case.

How do you lose a house you own due to police harassment? I could see if you were renting, but if he was paying the bank on time or if he actually owned a place outright, how do you lose it because of the police?

Wasn't he living in a trailer park then? Maybe the rules are different there?

The guy is 48 years old. He likely has gotten away with many crimes. He's not that unlucky. He has chosen his path. IMO, he does not deserve empathy. He is the equivalent of his deeds. I have a hard time believing he is really 48 years old.
