Tempo Restaurant: What Happened There?

Something else I should add about why I think Tempo is so important.

Tempo is extremely close to the the parking lots on Water St. (There is a garage but also a street level lot.) So if someone was interested in hustling someone into a car, Tempo would be an ideal place to lure them before getting them into a car. Just about a half of block walk.

Sure, but on this night he followed girls from the Blue Grill to Tempo. I get the impression JM went to many bars every time he went out and spends a short time in each one trying to get lucky. I'd be surprised if he picked up many girls acting the way we've seen.

Anyone know if there are any other unsolved attacks/abductions from the Downtown mall area in recent years?

Just another thought about whether or not HG was actually inside Tempo....LE says they have a witness putting her in there. Could that witness be JM, himself, since it was reported that when LE talked to him briefly at his apartment, JM admitted to having a drink with HG at Tempo before they went their separate ways? Is JM the one who said they were inside together, or did LE make that assumption?

Not necessarily charging his drinks. He could have been using a debit card. Restaurants make no distinction between the two, like gas stations.

Point is, that would leave a paper trail?

The difference being he specifically followed her because of her obvious physical condition so his focus was all on her and what was going on with her. This wasn't a random sighting.

I agree with that but he did say he felt when JM came up he knew her and everything was ok so he broke off..I agree dreads and bald are totally different and would be hard to get mixed up but you never know I guess maybe he never thought about it again until word of her missing came out and then he had forgotten details..

What I can't get over is the idea that WG thought everything was okay since JM put his arm around HG. I don't know about you, but if saw a guy that looked like that approach someone like HG, I would be very worried about her.

I think the fact that she allowed JM to put his arm around her and didn't try to shrug it off or confront him about it (it seems from the brief security cam view that she was accepting of his presence) would indicate to WG that she probably knew him and was comfortable with him. Therefore, he probably thought all was well. JMO

I haven't made up my mind yet as to whether HG went into Tempo, but somehow I think that Tempo plays a large role in this story-- which is why Longo made such a big deal about it in on of his PCs.

Underlying all of this though, is why HG was on the Downtown Mall at 1AM on a Saturday morning. Possible explanations that I can come up with:

1) She was lost -- I don't believe this. She may have lost her bearings, but once she got the Mall, I think she knew where she was going.

2) She went there to meet someone - possibly at Tempo. I think this is plausible.

3) She was trying to get to the bus station on Water St-- there she could have taken a bus that would have taken her back to campus grounds, close to where she lived.

Until we understand what she was doing down there, it is hard to come up with what the most likely scenario is for what happened at Tempo.

Could very well be she was looking for someone there...the same one who wasn't at McGrady's Pub. Wonder why LE requested McGrady's not make any statements, but seemingly had no problem with the details put out by Tempo?

I did not know this. So a switched off phone can ping and the only way to stop this is to remove the battery. Then if Hannah's phone pings were lost before 1:45 am then JM would have had to take her phone while still in or around Tempo and remove the battery.

IPhones do not have a removable battery. She had an iPhone.

I don't think it was so much that JM put his arm around Hannah that gave WG the impression that all was well, but that Hannah's reaction was not adverse. Apparently, JM was a smooth operator with a reassuring tone and demeanor, a "what's the matter, you look lost, do you need help" type of thing that put her at rest rather than recoil. The timing could have also had a lot to do with it. Tired, no response from friends, lost and not knowing what to do a freindly looking face and someone offering to help could have been just what Hannah wanted. She also was not thinking that clearly, either having had too much to drink and being tired, frustrated, lost, discouraged by then.

For him to bring her to an upscale restaurant/ bar where it appeared he was known, was also reassuring. Not as though he pulled into the dark recesses of the area. Nope. he was as open as could be. Really stupid of JM to have done dastardly deeds, since he was clearly seen with here by a number of people, on top of being on camera. Probably didn't even give it a thought. Figure he's have his way, drop her off somewhere and chances were good she would not report any indiscretions, due to her condition and the humiliation. I 'll bet he's done this before, and it was all pretty much good. I'm just waiting for other victims to step up. It's been a while since anyone called "rape" on him as the woman at Liberty U did, and for which he got into trouble but still not with the law over that.

But something must have gone wrong. Hannah is missing. Wheter JM killed or ditched her somewhere and she didn't get back, we don't know. But it doesn't look like he was going to just drop here off where she wanted to go, and she seemed to trust him. She waited for him fora good 15 minutes at TEmpo. Not like he had a lock on her. She willingly went with him, there were others around she could appealed to if she felt she was being abducted. Nope, she was fooled, not coerched.

Didn't she have an iphone? How do U remove iphone battery?

And we know about JM's Friday evening activities mostly based on one article from a local journalist, who some people don't think is usually very reliable.

What about JM's friend who calls him a prowler? Would you be friends with someone like that?

Also, we know nothing about JM's regular Friday night habits-- just what he supposedly did on that Friday.

How much do you think he spent that night, and do you think he makes enough $ to do that on a regular basis?
