So, now we know there are 2 "containers" missing, and we know that they are square, not round. How big do you think these are? They look awfully small to me.

I'm surprised that Drew would need Morphey's help moving it - what could've made it so heavy? There's no way Stacy's body could fit in it, is there??

How do you all think this plays into the case in regards to the barrel? There was still a barrel - Stacy's sister saw it and Stacy told her it was chlorine.

The barrel I'm thinking was plastic - these containers don't appear to be plastic, does anyone know what it's made out of?

This is baffling to me because of the fact they found "blue plastic shavings" in DP's Dinali...WHERE did that come from then??? I believe he used the barrel to dump her body & maybe these containers were used to get rid of other evidence, cell phone, etc...

Could be. It would be easy to tie something to the handles on these containers to weight them down, too. It is baffling, isn't it?!

I'm confused as to which one Morphey helped move - the square container or the round barrel that Stacy's sister saw? I could see needing help with a big awkward round barrel - but not these square containers with handles - they don't seem big enough to be that heavy that you would need help moving it. Questions, questions, questions!!!

You can get a better perspective of size comparing it the chair near it in photo thread.

If they were on a shelf as RM said they don't sound like they could have been all that large.

OK. I just went out in the garage and looked at our barrells again. They are blue, and they both have removable ("snap down") tops. One is dry powder chlorine, from which we use a cup to take the amount we want to add to the pool. The other is empty now except for a few plastic wrapped chlorine 'tabs' that we leave floating in the pool at all times. Neither has a spiggot or faucet. The gross weight of each barrell is 70 pounds (of chlorine, that is) and that is plenty to last us for a whole summer in hot weather.

Neither barrells have handles, and the barrels aren't "round" --- they are sqare with rounded corners.

The weights were scuba diving weights of Drews. When you dive the more body weight you have the heavier the weights are you need to use so that you can sink and scuba. I know that doesn't sound right but it is a fact.

From the looks of Drew I 'd say he needed weights = to a few cinder blocks to get his bloated over weight body to sink in a dive. So they were probably very heavy weights compared to what a lighter person like Stacy would need.
Oh thanks for correcting me! I couldn't remember exactly what weights were missing but I was thinking of them being used instead of weighing down the boxes. I'm not sure he would've buried her underwater either since it would take a boat to get her out far enough in a lake to not be found by divers. Even Scott Peterson thought Laci wouldn't be found in the Bay but she washed up.

Ric Mims said the GJ was very interested in the handles on these containers.

Ok, just free thinking here:

Ways to dispose of a body

Just dump in the woods or field...Commonly used. Animals may get hold of it and carry it away, consuming it or making it unrecognizable as human. Danger of hunters finding the remains or hikers etc running across it, but could take years. Recently remains were found in a Chicago ditch that were
snipped for space: Yep, you're one of the best, Mysteriew!

Did they ever say exactly where on the Denali these "shavings" were found? I thought I'd heard they were on the vehicle itself, from scraping the container against the car trying to get it in & out.

That's a good question, I don't know the answer. I do remember hearing that it was plastic shavings though - these containers (square w/ handles) don't appear to be plastic to me. It seems they would've caused more scratching or scuffing instead.

That's what I was thinking, it would've scratched the inside of the vehicle under where the rear cargo door opens. I still can't see how he could've gotten Stacy inside these containers in one piece or how he could've dismembered her at the house.

I can't see it either. The only thing that makes sense is kpass's idea that the containers were used to get rid of evidence intead of the body.

That sounds a lot more plausible. They don't look that large at all. :)

So they are containers not barrels?
Suzie--- I think of them as barrels because they stand taller than they are wide, and they look like "barrels" except that I notice they are square, with rounded corners. I really don't know what anyone would call them except a "barrel" or a "container". Guess I can take a digital photo of the ones we have and post them, but I can tell you that they do have snap-on/removable tops and no spiggots or faucets. If you have a pool supply shop in your area you can stop in and see exactly what I'm talking about.

I think I know what you are talking about. I've seen them at Costco for Laundry detergent. The lids snap on very tight.

I live a good hour from the closest pool supplier. However, I've been around pools all my life and have yet to see chemicals in that large of a barrel or container, even at a large municipal pool.

ETA: I meant barrels as big as the one Drew had, which I know you weren't addressing.

It would be neat if you could take a photo with maybe a yardstick next to it for scale.

Since I haven't heard of any blood evidence being found in the home, I'm guessing that the containers were used to remove anything from the home that showed signs of a struggle or signs of slight bleeding.

I think these containers hold the key to what happened to Stacey.

I am hoping that one of the containers has the missing Apple computer and that the computer has an anti-theft tracking system on it. If the computer was used for LE related work, then I would almost bet it has one on it. The software would most likely be unknown to Drew. IT depts put them on emplyees computers, it's undetectable and virtually impossible to remove. The tracking system would lead to exactly where the computer is.
