In our part of the country, anything square insted of rounded would be a "container" and not a "barrel," so perhaps it's just a local language thing going on?
I think sonar could see those shapes under the water. Of course, the waterways are probably frozen right now.
That is exactly what I thought, and so it wouldn't matter whether they were round or square. If something heavy was inside and he scraped the side or handle while lifting or dragging the container out of a car then it would leave "shavings" as evidence.Did they ever say exactly where on the Denali these "shavings" were found? I thought I'd heard they were on the vehicle itself, from scraping the container against the car trying to get it in & out.
