I wonder when rolls of the incriminating tape will start popping up on eBay?

When it became clear how rare "Henkel" logo tape was, and FairNbalanced had concerns about being one of only two sources for the tape on the skull, I did point out the upside was that he/she could well have an ebay "little goldmine"

PS: If I were to be retained as agent and advisor, I would advise against selling the whole roll. I think "by the inch" or perhaps "per logo" would be the way to go?

I've never paid much attention to eBay. Does it work both ways? Can someone solicit an item to buy as well as sell?

I wonder if we could develop quantity/geographic incidence statistics by soliciting to buy Henkel logo tape.

If you look up on public records in FL you will find police have, can and do get fingerprints from gas cans. I will post some for you tonight. I have to go out for lunch now.

From 2003 to 2008 Henkel supplied roughly 46% of the duct tape used in North America, virtually all of it under the "Duck" brand. Wal-Mart was one of their largest customers. I do not know if they were Wal-Mart's only supplier. Colored duct tape is a very popular product in their current consumer portfolio, which consists of 26 different duct tape products at present.

Duct tape with the Henkel logo (sold not as part of the Duck brand) appears to be a true anomaly. How "unlucky" could KC get?

In January 2008 Innovative Brands Holdings LLC agreed to buy the Duck brand from Henkel, but there was some sort of a delay and Henkel sued Innovative over that delay. It appears the sale did not go through, as Duck continues to show as a brand on the Henkel website. Henkel-branded tape and adhesives do not appear on their website.

And just in case the unique tape wasn't enough she branded it with the "Mark of KC" (Heart icon) :beats:

GA must be aware that he had a roll of tape with "Henkel" on it.

He must know exactly where the tape across his Grand Daughters mouth came from and who put it there!

How can he "Support my daughter"???

C and G know about KC's obsession with hearts and stickers! They know who the sicko is who put a Heart sticker on their Grand Daughter's face.

Having never seen this brand of tape, and having examined the picture, I still can't figure it out. Does this Duct Tape have the logo imprinted directly on the tape itself? Is there some way to tell this tape just by looking at it?

Yes and yes.

There is a picture of a sample back in the tread, I will go and get it.

Also it turns out to be rare only one person so far has a roll other than the Anthonys.

Manufacturer says it is discontinued and not manufactured since 2007.

Pic as promised:

Thank you kindly for the info and the future picture.

I was in a hardwear store (in Canada) today and actually looked for this brand. I had never heard of it. Of course, I didn't find any.

TYK again. Somehow, I missed this photo when it was posted..

Respectfully snipped

In the normal course of picking up a gas can by the handle you would not leave many (any) prints from finger tips.

Quite so, M. Poirot, but a petite female with smaller hands might very well need to touch the can itself whilst tipping it up and pouring the contents into her tank.

Oh, I do agree.

Even a butch bloke would most likely steady bottom when pouring gas.
I was just casting some doubt on the suggestion that the absence of usable prints necessarily means a cover up, and purposely wiping prints off. There may not be a lot and they may be smudged.

I have wiped my gas cans and spray bottles with a rag when I have had a little spillage while filling them and / or using them. I've also wiped them when they get dusty from being in the garage. I can see George doing the same thing - not to remove fingerprints, but to keep things clean.

As for the lone piece of duct tape on the gas can, in the rather poor image we have from the document dump, it looks to not only be on the top, but it also looks to not be laying flat and smooth. This leads me to believe it is being used to cover the air vent. Most cans I have seen have a small air intake on the top opposite the pour spout. This air intake is normally closed when storing using a plastic flip cover or screw cap. On one of my cans the plastic tie that holds the cap to can is broken, meaning I have to be careful not to lose it.

It seems reasonable this is what happened with the Anthony's can - it was lost. So we have two scenarios. George lost the screw cap or otherwise noticed it missing, and used a piece of duct tape to cover it. No telling what happened to the roll. Second scenario is KC lost it while she had the cans, and used left-over tape from her deed to cover the hole to keep fumes and spillage from contaminating the trunk. She discarded the tape roll at some later point.

In either scenario, it is actually important to keep the can clean so that the tape will continue to stick as it is pulled off and replaced.

On NG last night I noticed a video clip of GA putting up posters with duct tape. It's at 0.18

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZzxDnIcdbaA

Can anyone capture this image to blow up and compare?
I had a look.

Certainly a good shot of tape on top corners, but on my screen not clear enough to see details and would be worse if I took screen shot. Perhaps somebody can take a clearer shot?
At first glance the tape looks too narrow to be the 2" wide duct tape we are talking about, and it does not look silver, but pics can be deceiving.

I does look silver, but not 2" wide, I also do not see any printing on the tape.

It could be silver. I wouldn't dismiss it as being different because of the width. Duct tape is as easily torn lengthwise as it is across. I've done this myself in order to use a piece less than 2" wide.

Surely there's a video or picture of this that's clearer. Where was he when he put up this sign?

Yup - my dad used to rip it like that. I'm still looking for a better shot.

Sorry, messed up my other post with an edit.

ETA: Wouldn't it be something if a picture or a flyer of a missing Caylee with that particular duct tape on it surfaced?

If GA used duct tape, there were several posters put up in the early days. The one on Anthony front door for instance, and there were "sandwich boards" with posters. A picture of any poster might show tape clearer.

If GA used duct tape, that could actually be an innocent explanation of what happened to the remainder of the roll that KC used?

Wouldn't that be ironic if good old, "I support my daughter" George was going around putting up pictures of his dead Grand Daughter using the very tape his monster Daughter had defiled his Grand daughter with?

Here is a pic for you.. Not real clear. Looks like silver duct tape to me.
Also.. I have seen duct tape with a logo.. but it was always in the inside kinda like a watermark. I think it is put there in the factory before they had the "sticky gluey" stuff.

Apart from (obiously) apparently little kittens dancing along the tape , I can not make out much detail. Does not look 2" wide nor silver though.
