LOL, Bond! You crack me up!!! (dying to know what you do for work IRL...you are one smart guy!)

Loving the idea of her being lazy (DUH!!!!!! She is the laziest human being ever!) and just sitting and waiting for the car to run out of gas. Could be why she backed it into the spot so she had a clear view of all the coming and goings.

I dont think she had another phone, she barely put the one she did have down.

I know what you mean, I didn't either until I saw this post back on page 12:

Here's reference KC made as far back as May that she had a Blackjack.

If she were just spinning tales about a mystery phone 'after the fact' then I would simply write it off. But because of THIS I can't help but wonder if she did have that phone and either stole it and was afraid of getting caught, or it would somehow connect her definitively to exactly what happened to Caylee....so she ditched it.

If this has been posted I sowwy, I've been away for a good portion of the past two weeks or so.

In the "deleted myspace comments left by Casey Anthony" docs it does show that she posted on May 3 that she had one, but of course she could be lying again/still:

May 3, 2008 9:17am "i just got a blackjack...it's pretty great. that's what i would recommend"

Is this Heather M. from Universal?

Un solved, Is the gentleman in your photo posted ,the same man that was having an emotional breakdown in front of the Anthony's home after the discovery of Caylee's remains? This pic looks like him having a better day than what the public saw of him on all the news channels. This man yelled at the media cameras, "G. A. what have you done to KC?!!!" How do I find the video of him being a drama queen for a day? Out of everyone on the frindges of this case, this guy is who I'd like to talk to! Give him a couuple of drinks and he would sing to the chior about all of his friends. He did stae on national tv that he went to school, highschool with KC and now we see what might be a possible photo of him @ KC birthday party. Sure would like to know his name?

NO, this not KB, the 18 year old student at Valencia College.

I dunno where to post this...so, here it goes:
July 28th jail house visit between Lee and KC @ the 2:11 mark Lee mentions "an account that I set up" Calls that can only go to him...asks KC"when can I look for those calls?"

Was there a secret phone that may or may not related to this "black jack"?

There was never a blackjack, never...It is not relevant, just another of her lies.

Okay, let's just say the blackjack does not exist.
But, why would the brother mention "an account that I set up" etc...???? That is my question.

I recall that conversation. For some reason, I am thinking that it had to do with an account to make jailhouse calls. Evidently, it costs money to be able to make calls and I took it that Lee had set up an account with funds to call just him. I could be totally wrong.

Or someone was sneaking in a phone to KC.

But, I think you are right. Maybe that's all it was.

In KC's interview where she discusses the cell phones, she said she got them both through Universal.

Although I am sure that no one really believed she was working at Universal at the time of the disappearance, Universal does give phones to supervisors (but not managers.) They are given Blackberries not Blackjacks.

Managers for Kodak/Colorvision do not get cellphones. Supervisors are over large areas like Islands of Adventure Merchandising or Universal Studios Food/Beverage or Universal Studios attractions or Guest Services supervisor. Event planners would not have a cellphone provided by Universal Studios and if they did it would be a Nextel Blackberry. I am not sure who she said her cellphone provider was but Nextel (Sprint) is the cellphone provider for Universal Studios.

Thanks to my son, I know that if you've been arrested, you can no longer make calls from the jail, collect. Someone "from the outside" must go through a (I believe it is) national corrections company that allows you to prepay minutes for the one who is jailed, to access. I never actually had the opportunity to put any money into the account for my budding , who was released for lack of evidence, but the voice activated system I had to go through to attempt it was, shall we say, a lesson in patience.

Wow.Never knew this sort of service existed!.
IF someone did set up a private line, I hope LE got wind of it.

Thanks to my darling nephew, I too, know about inmates making calls.
When you first get to jail, before you are booked, you can make collect calls the normal way. After booking and housing, when an inmate attempts to call collect, you will hear something like this
"This call is from an inmate in the _____ County Jail. You have a collect call from______. If you wish to accept this call press 1."

When you press 1, a recording comes on that says "If you wish to accept this call, please hold and have a credit card ready or call 1-800-whatever to speak to an operator to set up an account with (whatever the company name is).

It's a minimum of $25 to have the service added to your cell or home phone line. When the inmate calls again, you must have funds available when you press 1 to accept the collect call.

Each call is about $5.

Most states have revised "inmate phone calls". Used to be, that inmates could only make collect calls, at FULL collect call phone rates. This added up to ridiculous amounts likes a $25.00 charge for a 5 minute or less call...Most states- due to class action law suits, have changed, offering inmates families and friends a reduced rate policy....(God! Wish I could go back and SUE a certain phone company for my relatives numerous collect calls 6 years ago....HUNDREDS of DOLLARS!!!!)No joke! A few minute of talk, hundreds of dollars owed....

I was VERY intrigued by the possibility that the entry for BJ ____ was Casey's other phone. However, I've learned that the phone number belongs to a real person who also goes by Robert J. You can find him on Facebook and among his friends are Matt C and Brandon H. Robert belongs to the group Valencia 08, a reference to the school where Casey claimed she attended college.

Also -- the entry for Best Friend is NOT her other phone...it corresponds to Ryan P.

Oh darn! I was thinking the entry was a bit more simple ... more along the lines of ... BJ Jackie = repeat customer = fast $20 :biglaugh:

Liltigress, IIRC, you also spotted a MS/Fb message from Casey to one of her friends earlier in '08 recommending they get a Blackjack since she'd just gotten one? I haven't seen the detail/source info re: Grund giving Casey a phone. Is it possible these are one & the same?

Casey had at least two cellphones and possibly 3 numbers from what I can tell. There are actually three cellphone numbers listed on the national cellphone registry. Her two phones may have used the same account # and she switched the sims cards back and forth - not sure. Also, any call to a Zenaida or anyone else back last year that was disconnected would be quickly reassigned so you would have to rule out that someone didn't acquire their number around that time.

The first phone 9286 -- the Nokia was purchased by the Grunds who likely had access to her account, and is registered in the name "Casey Grund." It was Cingular and converted to AT&T when the company was acquired. www.cayleesplace.com/caseygrundphone.jpg

She bragged about getting her new blackjack about the time she sent the $300 payment to AT&T using her grandmother's check. She indicated she needed it for a job where the employer was supposed to pay for it, but then ended up requiring her to buy it and wait to get reimbursed.

Hmm. I just happened to stop by the "cayleesplace.com" website yesterday while googling for info on Kronk's girlfriend. I felt like I fell down a rabbit hole into KC and Jose's world. REALLLY FREAKY. Whoever's site it is, they sure seem determined to find KC "innocent." It is so over the top biased, I'm not sure I'd trust any information given there.
