I've wondered if she was writing to someone.... it'll be very very interesting to say the least....

Okay, so I did the math. 50 notes, 258 pages. That's an average of 5 pages per note. Holy freaking COW did she write a lot! I'm glad to know several trees were sacrificed so Casey could hang herself even more!

How in the heck did she get ahold of that much paper? And you know she must have gone through many pencils or pens writing them? How in the heck was this kept secret? I am totally baffled, but glad she did do this. Oh, I can't wait to see what they say!!!

I'm also wondering if she did explicitly talk about DC, and the LE used that to get DC to talk. I still think he's flipped, but his info hasn't come out yet. I'm not sure they could get to RC through Casey's letters. I can't imagine she would remember the phone number of her father's mistress unless she was planning to make her the invisinanny. How cold and calculating if that is what she talked about!

I read today that one of the inmates in protective custody was an ex-correctional officer and that she may have gotten special treatment and help passing the notes because of it ... my brain is mush after all the news today ... if I come across the article I will post it ...

I'm stumped too on what could possibly be in them to warrant the investigation but one thought came to me that it could also be what isn't in them, like speaking of the child she lost, or her demeanor in jail and not being broken up over the death of her child ... I still want to know if she's hung any pictures of Caylee or any of her family for that matter in her cell ...

No doubt the defense will fight to keep these sealed and whine about jail personnel passing them illegally in the first place ... they did it with the video on Dec 11th but were only successful in getting it sealed ...

Comment #1 in this article: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news...anthony-jail-letters-20100318,0,1826969.story

gives an interesting description of Casey's jail surroundings:

"On a side note regarding her "protective custody" status, Casey-haters will be happy to know it's not a luxury suite. My husband recently did a job at the jail where she's at and said she's in the psych ward area, where all of the worst behaviors are. He said it smelled like crap soooo bad in there it gagged him walking down the hall. That's cause Casey shares the same wing as the inmates who do fecal smearing.

Ahhh, it makes me smile just thinking about it. :)"

Makes me smile too!

It doesn't shock me that Casey would write to other inmates. When this news first broke, I immediately thought it was a male inmate somewhere who had a crush on Casey. Maybe even was turned on that she is such a cold blooded killer.

I was shocked, at first, that she was exchanging letters with female inmates but then I got to thinking? She's in a cell 23 hours a day. She doesn't accept any visitors. Her attorney's barely see her (at least recently). She can't write her parents because they can't keep their mouth's shut.

So, these women reached out and poor Casey whose life has been taken from her, probably was relieved to have someone to believe her lies once again.

I'm trying to figure out what these letters could contain... and all I can come up with is Casey telling them that when they all get out they should go to Fusions?

She probably revealed how rich she was going to be once released and they could all go on a 7 day (not a lousy four day) cruise.

She'd even get them a free pass into Universal.

It was stated that while its not a confession there are still bombshells in them... So I'm thinking that maybe Casey, didn't tell this inmate Yeah I killed my daughter, since it states no confession. However she may have revealed information about the time she left like, yeah me and my mom got in a huge fight and she kicked me out, so I went to my boyfriends and he would not let Caylee stay so I took her to my "nanny" to stay til I could figure something out... and while I was out looking for a place I couldn't get in touch with "zanny" and so I started looking for them and I was so pizzed at my parents I didn't tell them...
In other words she may have told more "little truths" like the fight that could give the prosecution more motive on why she did this... a better explanation of what happened those 31 days. JMO... but I do think its important, at least important enough for the prosecution to want this kept from the defense while it was investigated, and also important enough for JS to allow them 31 days to verify information and also important enough for JS to give the defense 15 days to review. I think there is something important in there.
However if Casey discussed possible defense strategy, I don't think that it will be allowed to be released, unless it shows the defense trying to frame someone else.

From what I gathered reading (not at WESH which has had everything all mixed up), inmate #1 went to LE and said she had corresponded with Casey and gave the name of inmate #2 (now in a Federal Prison) who had also corresponded with Casey. LE went to inmate #2 (probably the wife of the police officer who set up a grow house with her). She RELUCTANTLY admitted to the correspondence and gave the name of the person on the outside to whom she had entrusted the letters.

LE went to this person and obtained the letters.

It would seem someone on the Corrections staff was being investigated for passing the messages.

The official investigation was passed off to FDLE so there would be no problem.

Motion unsealed today spells it out pretty clearly. My comments in parentheses.

I have never quoted myself, sorry if it's inappropriate to do so, but after finding the above article, I found this and have to wonder if they are related, due to the timing:

Altamonte Springs officer under criminal investigation

nums24, tisk, tisk. You have to have offical permission from the Pope, Attorney General Janet Napolano and Whisper to quote yourself. Don't let it happen again. lol.

You're not alone.

It seemed like everything was all askew and the defense wasn't even close to being ready to answer the simple questions.

How much money
where'd it come from
How was it spent

and JB and team couldn't even manage to do that.

I was happy to see the inmate had the important job of holding the button on the mike.:loser::crazy:

Quote Respect drip~drop :)

:rotfl:

No. Honestly. She seemed very happy to be doing so. Like really, really happy to be covering up that microphone. Watching Casey reminds me of high school. I think she thinks she is a "mean girl." I feel like she thinks of all of this as:

"Dramaaa!" Ya know?

I am confused about something though. Are these letters the "secret evidence" that we kind of thought was about DC? Sigh. This case is making me tired.

:twocents:

According to WFTV and this link - we had one of the inmates right and one wrong. The baby formula theft ring wasn't right - at least according to this link and WFTV.

I just googled the new inmate they named and she was a real bad *advertiser censored**.

I can not even imagine what relevant information but not a confession could be in those letters. But, I do not think KC is smart enough to plan these letters and put in false information nor do I think her attorneys knew she was writing them. She believes she can get away with anything so she never expected these would get into the hands of LE.

Whatever is in them, it must be obvious enough to these two inmates who received them that it's important info and they could possibly use the information to broker a deal with the state in return for their testimony. Why else would they keep the letters?
What if those letters detail the funsy fun she had in Baez' office and the use of the internet when he visits and that sort of thing......whoa!

The mother of the inmate that's in federal prison was interviewed (long ago - 2007 - I just read the interview online) and said that her daughter felt relief when she finally fessed up to what she had done (she murdered her fellow gang member "friend"). She said something to the effect that her daughter could finally sleep for the first time after confessing to the murder of her friend. I just have to wonder if she offered that insight to Casey (the true will set your free kinda thang...well...not FREE I should say in Casey's case, but a free conscience or whatever you want to call it). What on earth could Casey have said in those 50 letters? Do I have that right? It's the girl in the Fed Pen that she wrote all those letter to? What on earth do they have in common and how did that friendship form?

I thought the girl in Federal Prison was there on a drug charge related to her husband's grow house, not murder.

I don't think you have the right inmate, but you asked what did they have in common? Stupidity- but reassuringly, we do see that KC completely disregards her Attorney's advice.

I would abandon my scruples re the National Enquirer and purchase that issue if that were the case :innocent:

IIRC read she wrote to both women..............
I bet she had more in common with the killer friend.

With her personality type it doesn't shock me that she would be trying to connect with other inmates. I am a little surprised THEY would have anything to do with her as I stated earlier, but then, I've never been to jail so I only have television to give me an idea of how jail is and how prisoners interact.

I am imagining how dificult it must be for KC to be so restricted in her movements, her contact with others, etc. For one such as herself it must be torturous. She thrives on being the center of attention and her every waking moment seems to be invested in getting for KC what KC wants, nay, is entitled to.

So these notes are probably a reflection of her utter loneliness. I think whatever relevant info is in them is probably just more wishy washy, everchanging details in her fiction about the nonexistent nanny. These may come into play at court as they will be further proof of her duplicity and hinderance of the search for Caylee.
