I wasn't quite sure what went on in court today but I thought that Gus found out from Chris Hughes that he was on the witness list. Gus attempted to call the State Prosecutor and did not receive a call back.
If I heard a rumor that I was on a witness list and could not get the Prosecutor to call me back and give me the 411 I would be irritated. So I go to court to testify and the prosecutor asked me questions, I would think, Oh now you want to talk to me. I would have to keep my attitude in check. No idea, but better to call the prosecutor than call a tabloid or TMZ or whatever some potential witnesses (in other cases) do. He may be a crackpot offering no value and neither side may want him, but better to go to the state's office.
