It's here elle

Snip~Vieira asked Misty, who wore a T-shirt with Haleigh’s picture on it to the TODAY set, to revisit the events that led to her calling 911 shortly before 3:30 a.m. on Feb. 10.

“I put her to bed at 8 o’clock,” Misty Cummings said. “I was washing our blankets, and after that was done, I put her blanket over her. She was sleeping when I put her blanket on her. She was in her bed, and it was about 10 o’clock. I finally laid down and went to sleep. I woke up at 3. I got up to use the bathroom, and I noticed the kitchen light was on. I walked through the kitchen, and that’s when I noticed the back door was open. So I run back to my bedroom to get my phone to call Ronald. That’s when I noticed Haleigh was gone.”

Now I am really lost. I think we might have been talking about two different things. Did Misty ever say that she asked Ronald if he had Haleigh? Or did Ronald ever say Misty said "Is Haleigh with you?". I don't know maybe I am chasing a wild goose....lol. I have been searching through transcripts for the last hour because I swear I heard that somewhere.

Elle this is from Dot'sEyes transcript of the hypnosis session:

What was she wearing?
She was wearing her pink Hannah Montana shirt and her underwear. She had shorts on but she took them off. She don’t like to sleep in clothes at all, she hates clothes, wants to strip all the time and be in her underwear. And probably it took 30 minutes for it to wash and probably like 60 minutes for it to dry and as soon as that was done, I got in my pajamas um and I laid down on the bed. And I remember I was halfway asleep and I remember Jr. getting up and going over me and was out the bedroom door. And then when I woke up and he was on one side of me but he was moved to the other side of me and that is when I woke up and noticed that the light was on in the kitchen, so I went to the kitchen and I seen the back door was open so I started freaking out about the back door. So I ran to my bedroom and got my phone and then um I tried to call Ronald he didn’t answer, well before I called Ronald, I turned around, while I was grabbing my phone, I turned around and saw that Haleigh was gone and I tried calling over and over again, I was freaking out, looking under beds, in closets, everywhere and screaming her name. Bubba’s up at that time and he’s freaking out too. That’s when I opened the front door and Ronald was pulling up and I asked him “do you have Haleigh? Do you know where Haleigh is?” And he was like “what do you mean?” And I’m like “Haleigh’s gone.” And we looked and searched and we couldn’t find her. And that’s it.

Oh my goodness....thank God. I was getting ready to check myself.lol.

So she did ask him that. She says she asked him that. I am glad ya'll are on the ball. So what was my point....oh yeah, maybe Misty really didn't know what time it was and she did just see 3. If she asked Ronald a question like "Is Haleigh with you" she had to have no idea what the true time was.

I've heard the "is Haleigh w/ you" from Misty. I'll search for it too.

Don't worry Donjeta found it! At least she found one instance where Misty said it. For the record I do not believe that Misty was successfully hypnotized for that ....discussion.

I'm not sure why you think she couldn't have known the time. Ron might have got home from work earlier or later than usual for a variety of reasons.

One thing is for sure. On the next day I am looking for something to do I am going to dig in to those NG transcripts. I just realized where all the confusion got started over where everyone was sleeping. Well could have got started. Ronald was on the show on the 11th, transcript here:http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0902/11/ng.01.html

snip~
GRACE: At 10:30, 11:00. At that time, was little Haleigh in the bed asleep with the brother?

CUMMINGS: Yes.

GRACE: And they all slept together in the same bed, correct?

CASAREZ: Yes. (it says casarez but that is a typo)

GRACE: So sometime between 11:00 PM and 3:30 AM, Haleigh goes missing. Now, did she call 911?

CUMMINGS: No, she did not, not until after I was there. She tried to call me, but I was pulling in the driveway. So I asked her how come she was trying to call me, she needed to call 911. So she immediately called them then. ~ end snip

So Nancy said so they were all asleep in the same bed , correct. Ronald answers yes, so I think he might have thought she asked if they were all in the same room rather than in the same bed.

Then on the very next night..the 12th transcript here:http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0902/12/ng.01.html Crystal was on

snip~
GRACE: When they called to tell you little Haleigh was missing, Ms. Sheffield, did they have a theory about what had happened to her?

SHEFFIELD: They just said that someone come in there and took her, is what they told me.

GRACE: Ms. Sheffield, were you -- with me, everyone, is little Haleigh`s mother. Crystal Sheffield is joining us. She lives many miles away from the little girl but sees her on a regular basis. Ms. Sheffield, when you were first told about the circumstances of Haleigh`s disappearance, were you told she was asleep in the bed with the girlfriend/baby-sitter and the little brother?

SHEFFIELD: Yes, I was. I was told they was all three in the same bed.

GRACE: You`re sure?

SHEFFIELD: I`m sure.

GRACE: Is there any doubt in your mind that they represented they were all in the same bed together?

SHEFFIELD: That`s what they said, that -- I was told they was all three in the same bed.

GRACE: And now what have you learned?

SHEFFIELD: I`ve heard that Junior was in another room, and it was just her and Haleigh in the bed. And now I`m hearing that they were both in the other room and she was in the bed by herself. Haleigh and Junior was in their own room.

GRACE: OK. Hold on, Ms. Sheffield. Rosy (ph), can you play me back that sound we just heard from the girlfriend? OK, Ms. Sheffield, please go through that with me one more time. First you thought they were all three in the bed together sleeping, waiting on the father to get home. He was at work. Then you were told what?

SHEFFIELD: At first, I was told they was all three in the same bed.

GRACE: Right.

SHEFFIELD: Then it was Junior was in the kids` room in his bed, and it was Haleigh and Misty in their bed, in the big bed.

GRACE: Yes?

SHEFFIELD: And then I heard that Haleigh and Junior were both in their room, in their own room, not Misty`s room.

GRACE: Ms. Sheffield, I know this may sound crazy to you, but let me ask you about this change in story. When you heard the second version, that Junior was in the kids` room and Haleigh and Misty were together, who told you that?

SHEFFIELD: Where did I hear it? I don`t remember where I heard it. My mind`s just...

GRACE: All right. When you heard that Haleigh and Junior were both in the children`s room, who told you that?

SHEFFIELD: Who told me that?

MARIE GRIFFIS, MATERNAL GRANDMOTHER: I don`t remember that. That`s the first story that we heard.

GRACE: Everybody, also, you`re hearing the voice of the maternal grandmother of Haleigh. That`s Marie Griffis. She`s also with us there at the command center, everyone converging there at Satsuma, Florida, to find this little girl.

So it looks like Marie interrupted Crystal before she could explain where she heard it from. Honestly, I am leaning towards the chance that these people were participating in a little game of telephone. Anyone ever play that in school where you whisper something in your friends ear and then they in turn whisper something in the next persons ear?

I'm not sure why you think she couldn't have known the time. Ron might have got home from work earlier or later than usual for a variety of reasons.

:waitasec:

I don't think she couldn't have known the time, I think maybe all she saw was the three and not paid attention until when she went back to get the phone and saw Haleigh was not in the bed.

See, from the beginning I have assumed that Ronald always got home a little after 3. I didn't know what hours his work night consisted of. When Misty started saying all I saw was three, I thought she was just throwing the 3 out there because Ronald got home regularly after 3 when he worked. Then we hear recently that Ronald was asked to work extra hours the night that Haleigh went missing so if Misty never answered the phone to receive word from Ronald that he had to work late she wouldn't have threw the 3 out there for any specific reason because she was expecting him home a bit after 12( which is his normal shift) and the number 3 had no significance.

Does that make any sense??

Oh, OK, I see now.

Another possibility is that if her story about waking up and finding Haleigh gone is not true, she just saw three because she knew the approximate time they made the 911 call and didn't want to say anything too specific about the time she supposedly woke up.

Supposedly there was a woman heard yelling at 2:30 at or near the MH and if it was Misty coming home and finding Haleigh gone she might not have been willing to admit that it took her an hour to call 911.

I wonder if the woman who thought she heard yelling was correct about the time? I hope she didn't hear Haleigh yelling. That is a scary thought.

Did you notice up in the NG transcript that I posted that Marie was quick to correct Crystal when Crystal was trying to explain when she first heard the story of where the children were sleeping?

I never paid any attention to that comment before but I wonder why Marie interrupted Crystal to explain it?

Dunno... Crystal seemed a bit dazed in some of the early interviews. Like here, repeating the question, huh? Maybe Marie spoke for her because she felt Crystal couldn't handle all the interviews. Or else it's just a habit. Some people do.

Good point. If they are guilty of something why wouldn't they make it look like maybe they could have left it open accidently, instead of insisting that it was always locked and checked. An intruder story would be more believable if the door could have been unlocked. If they wanted to throw suspicion somewhere else they could have done a better job.

Good point!! - but I think Ron wanted to present himself as a responsible parent, and maybe he is. Maybe Misty was the one to use or not lock it and Ron's rule was to keep it locked or else, since HaLeigh had wandered off one time.

I am open since I check locks before bed and one night left the garage open and got a call from a neighbor. Ooops!

My concern is, why the focus by Ron and Misty on the use of the backdoor. It is one those red flags -- like the pee blanket. Connected.

Isn't the front door quite close by where Misty and the kids were sleeping?

It might have been a concern that if the perp had forced the front door open it would have made noise and it would have been harder to sleep through the abduction.

If a stranger perp chose the back door instead of the more sheltered front door on the porch he either got lucky choosing the door or must have been on the lookout for a while and knew where everyone was sleeping.

Exactly like Casey Anthony who gave a 4-hour window as to when she dropped Caylee off with ZFG and went to work, just in case.

It is too coincidental and convenient for this all to occur minutes before Ron arrives.

Does anyone have any information at all concerning the front door of the trailer? I find it odd that while all the attention was focused on the back door, nothing at all is said about the front door. From looking at the pictures there is a big screened in porch, a door on there and then after you walk in there is a front door to the home.

We know that Ronald and Misty are firm on the idea that the back door stayed locked, but I can't find any reference to the front door. How do we know if that door was locked too? TIA

Dotseyes, I agree with your post. I think if Tommy did stop over, he might have been wrong about the time.

That's the snag right there, you don't have to lock a locked door if you don't use it. It stays locked.

Exactly! Why does Ron say he checks the back door every day before work.

Both Ron & Misty say someone picked the lock..Cousin Joe is known for lock picking...Among other things.

If I had a stranger in my house, like the A/C guy, I would check the lock just in case he had used that back door for any reason. Ron had already left for work when that guy was there. I wonder if Misty checked it after the guy left, probably not.
