When and where did Terri say she drove constantly, without making one stop? I don't remember seeing that.
I have driven around for hours to soothe a fussy child, or when he would not lay down for a nap. I sang along with the radio, (no CD's then) which all of my boys loved. I would sometimes stop somewhere, usually at a roadside park or out in the country to let them sleep, or to let them run around a little while or take a potty break.
While this doesn't make sense to some people, it makes perfect sense to me. I try not to discount things just because I might not do them myself. We are all different.
Maybe she didn't elaborate and say, "I drove around until such & such time, then I stopped for 5 or 10 minutes, then I drove around some more..." and so forth. It could be the truth... and it might not be. We may never know for sure. How is anyone going to prove she didn't do what she said? Did Kaine check the mileage on his truck, both before and after she drove it?

90 minutes of driving and never stopping???
Diaper change, feeding? I would need a potty break!!
And gas that the truck would eat up!
How many miles to a gallon does that truck use?
ow big is the gas tank?
No fill up?
2 women being absent for 90 minutes........
very 'hinky' to me!!!
and a small boy missing at the same time........2+2=4 JMOO

BBM: I agree mostly, Passionflower, except as BBM. The 2 women being absent for 90 minutes, did not occur during the SAME 90 minutes, that we know of....

In posting that, it is kind of ironic that the media/LE? has chosen to release "90 minutes" in the case of both women's stories having an unaccountable time frame....perhaps it is intentional?

Just one note - I get the feeling that many of the posters here don't like to drive - or at least don't like to drive long distances.

There are those of us who do - if I could afford the gas, I'd be perfectly happy to go out and drive around for a couple hours for no real reason. I recently drove from CT to Ohio (it was my friend's minivan and she would have been more than happy to drive some of the way - but I just enjoy driving). Since TH owns a Mustang, I would assume she probably also likes to drive.

Just saying...

I just killed 40 minutes driving up and back to a farm market for tomatoes and sweet corn, and it wasn't that far. I took my time, was enjoying the day and the scenery, letting go of stress. If I'd had more gas in my car, I might have driven longer, and I have been known to do that. I can spend a whole day on the road. When I was a youngster, my grandparents and I would take off and drive around ALL day.

The truck will get about 18 to 20 highway miles to a gal. it gets about 14 city driving. It has a 38 gallon tank on it. I know this cause I have the same truck just a diffrent color.

What I don't understand is TMH failure to have more of a rock solid albi if this was such a structured plan on her part. Why have to say she was driving aimlessly when if this really was her plan to get Kyron out of school to do something to him. She would have planned a much better albi.

Someone said maybe something else unexpected happened that ruined the plan. Anyways, I'm thinking on those lines.

Does anyone know if Terri smokes? If she does, then why would she coop herself up in a vehicle with a fussy toddler that long instead of going home, giving the baby some tylenol, getting online, cleaning, whatever, then maybe going to the gym? Maybe there is some unaccounted for gas purchase and she has to come up with a 1.5 hour drive for herself, but the gas could have been purchased for someone else.

“I have a receipt showing I was checking out at Fred Meyer 7 miles away at 9:12am. I went to another FM looking for meds for baby K they didn't have at the first FM. Then I was trying to get baby K to sleep in the truck for a few minutes, but no go, so off to the gym at 11:20.

http://www.katu.com/news/local/100323934.html

For a "few minutes?" Huh?

I am thinking, she is saying she went to the gym twice that day? Paired with her facebook comment of "Hitting the gym" that afternoon is odd. I will try to find the times, but she is saying she went to the gym 11:20-12:20, then again about 5 pm?

"trying to get baby K to sleep in the truck for a few minutes"

I wonder if Terri was breast feeding baby K.

I wasn't too clear. To me, a "few minutes" is a far cry from an almost hour and a half drive in the truck around rural roads of Portland.

On Wednesday, investigators asked for any witnesses who might have seen the Horman family white pickup in that same area of Skyline between 10:15 and 11:30 p.m. Sources tell KGW that investigators identified that as the time between when Terri left a Beaverton Fred Meyer and her next known stop, at her personal gym.
http://www.kgw.com/news/DeDe-Spicher-99077874.html

Sources also tell KGW that, during the period of time DeDe was unaccounted for, her car remained at the property where she had been gardening. According to sources, that detail is significant because, if DeDe left the property as investigators believe, she would had to have left in another vehicle. http://www.kgw.com/news/DeDe-Spicher-99077874.html

Sources within the Skyline community, including people who have spoken with investigators, say Sources within the Skyline community, including people who have spoken with investigators, say Spicher was actually absent for three hours from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. http://www.kgw.com/news/DeDe-Spicher-99077874.html

Reliable sources told KGW that Spicher left that area at 9:45 a.m. and was unaccounted for until 1 p.m. that day. http://www.kgw.com/home/2nd-person-seen-in-Terri-Hormans-truck-100301534.html

The sheriff's office is also looking for anyone who may have seen the truck driving on these roads between 10:15 and 10:45 a.m. Friday, June 4: Old Germantown Road, Germantown Road, Skyline, Springville and Newberry. http://www.koinlocal6.com/mostpopul...ormation-on-white/VILKP8LxXUGmmcMRkZKBxQ.cspx.

On Sunday, investigators looking into the disappearance of Kyron Horman spent hours searching a large property where Dede Spicher was gardening on June 4th, the day that Kyron disappeared. http://www.kgw.com/home/InvestigatorsSearchWhereDedeGardened-100231774.html

In the press conference video, the DA says 10:15 to 10:30am for the times for the Skyline Blvd, Germantown Rd, etc, area., conflicting with the 10:15 to 11:30am timeframe in the press conference flier.

DA: at approximately 10:15 to 10:30 am on June 4th.

Bean: The timeline indicated in the Press Conference was corrected today:

(Video clarification: Authorities are seeking information from people who may have seen Terri Horman driving her husband's white Ford F-250 pickup along Northwest Springville Road, Northwest Skyline Boulevard, Springville to Newberry Road, or along Old Germantown and Germantown roads between 10:15 and 11:30 a.m on Friday, June 4. In the video above, the times are misstated by Multnomah County Chief Deputy District Attorney Rod Underhill.)

Authorities also asked for the public's help in providing details about possible sightings of a white truck that matched the description of the Horman family pickup, at a Fred Meyer in Hillsboro around 9 a.m., at a Fred Meyer on Walker Road around 10 a.m., and between 10:15-10:30 around Newberry and Germantown roads and the area around Skyline.

It's kinda worriesome that they MIGHT have given the wrong times at THEIR press conference. :banghead:

ETA No, it's really worriesome.

Sources tell KGW that this time frame is significant: They say investigators have determined that, from the time Terri left the second Fred Meyer, it would have taken her until about 10:15 to return to the Skyline area where DeDe Spicher was reportedly gardening. Terri would have had to leave the Skyline area by 11:30 in order to get to the gym at the time she reportedly checked in that afternoon.

is there anywhere i can see a timeline map of these movements?

Spicher was gardening at a 40-acre property on Old Germantown Road on June 4. Her employer and another worker at the home told authorities that she wasn't there when they called her in for the lunch provided for the workers. Investigators say Spicher, who arrived on the job around 9 a.m., wasn't seen gardening on the property from about 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2010/08/kyron_horman_case_investigator.html
