If that examiner article is true (it's a site that anyone can post to, so the quality of articles is often dubious), that investigation may be tied to the reason why Leon and Mollie McClaran had custody of the children.

Good point.

It also makes me think that perhaps LE knows more information than they've released. If they suspect someone, they really do just have to wait until they get all the lab results back.

OK...PLEASE dont throw stuff at me...but,someone I was talking to about this case said something that I hadnt even thought of. They said,that if the children had been found with the grandparents all together in the basement...is has the "feel" of a mass suicide.
But,as we know,the children havent been found. Still,it had my mind going to bad places.
I seriously have no clue why I brought this up,except I cant get these lil ones outta my head.
Prayers to guide the search for these two kiddos.

I had that thought too, early on, but there didn't seem to be any other hint of it so I didn't want to bring it up. It just seemed so...well, I guess things like that aren't impossible any more.

Let me say upfront that I'm at a loss as to what happened to these children. So many scenarios have played out in my head, including this one (except I considered murder/suicide because I can't wrap my head around children their age making a conscious choice to kill themselves) -- so, if someone is going to throw stuff, they can throw it at both of us.

Purely speculating, but my thought process was that IF it was murder/suicide, it was because either one or both of the grandparents were terminally ill and couldn't bear to leave the kids vulnerable to foster care or being returned to their parents.

Admittedly, it's a long shot, IMO, but until there's evidence pointing in a definitive direction, anything is possible.

I also wonder if one of the kids accidentally started the fire and -- because they were at the starting point of the fire -- it was most intense and (sadly) there are little to no remains.

Again, all speculation.

It takes about twenty-four hours to reduce a human to ash, even at the highest temperatures. Bodies that have been cremated still have recognizable bone fragments. If the people who helped find remains at the WTC say there's no evidence the kids were in the fire, I'm willing to bet the kids weren't in the fire.

Yes...THIS is what Im hoping for. But where the heck ARE they???

I feel like there isnt anyone looking for them..I feel like theyve been "written off". I suppose if we could ,at least, get a little info. it would re-new my hope.

Were they kidnapped before the same party or parties set the house ablaze? There is a great possibility of this! No other explanation has been put forth that`s a fit with the available evidence. Could the two children have fled the scene of the fire on their own accord? The probability of this scenario is remote, unlikely (in my mind). And if they were kidnapped, was it done by family members? That`s surely a loaded question!

Forensic specialists emphasize, if they died in the fire, remains (such as bones or teeth) would be present on the scene, and yet nothing.

If it were a murder/suicide, might he have buried the children elsewhere before he took his own and his wife's life?

THIS is a very good question. Its sorta the reason that Ive been thinking the lil ones are with "someone"..maybe a family member,maybe a friend.
Im also wondering why they keep searching for them in the fire...if they are saying in the media,that they were last seen with a male "suspect".

Is the Bedford County Tennesse house fire Amber Alert Case for Chloie Leverette, 9, and Gage Daniel, 7, turning cold? Like many cases, possibly a lot of information is being held for investigative purposes. Still, enough information has been said that leaves you wondering and thinking, what is going on? And while time had passed for precautious reasoning before a nationwide amber alert had been issued, there has not been enough publicity in the case to bring these two young children home . The story turns out to be very mysterious.

I'll take a thrashing with you... simply for reading anything new and fresh about Chloie and Gage.
I really, really feel for Aunt Joy. Adamantly proclaiming homicide...and the things she knows...no doubt someone DID this. And I'm stressing?

I'm not going to throw anything.

However, I think it is fair to point out that Leon and Mollie McClaran's bodies were apparently fairly easy to find in the rubble. If it was a mass murder/suicide with all four bodies in the basement, I would expect that even the remains of the children would have been located.

They did find the bodies of the family dog and a pet bird, which would probably have been smaller than either Chloie or Gage. At least the bird would have been!

Not finding the bodies of Chloie and Gage takes my mind to bad places, too. The bad places in my imagination, though, are outside the home and includes someone who is apparently getting away with abduction if not murder and arson.
