wow when they said there was a mob they weren't kidding, there was also some random 40 year old guy there apparently wanting to ask MB where evelyn was

I remember when there was crowds at the Anthony house. The house was lit up like a christmas tree.

I got a timeout for photoshopping Michael Jordan making a slam dunk in the basket ball goal and Michael Jackson riding a tricycle in the driveway, it was total chaos lol

Even if her mom was keeping the baby why wouldn’t she see her or know if she’d seen her on Christmas . A child that small (and even older) wouldn’t know or care what gifts came from whoever but it’s hard to imagine a scenario where even if she wasn’t raising the baby she wouldn’t see the baby and her family for Christmas . Where was MB at on Christmas ? Where did she spend that holiday with?
This case from the very first day has screamed ending badly.

From MB's statements during her media interview, it's clear that she understands how and when trust is broken.

How wouldn't AB denying MB from seeing her own daughter for more than 60 days not prove to MB that she couldn't trust her mother? There's not even any indication that MB talked to Evelyn on the phone in the last two months! Seriously, even if children are taken and placed into foster care, a parent is allowed visitation.

We know that MB and Evelyn spent Thanksgiving with MB's dad (TB) and her brother at brother's house. This was according to TB (on tv news clip) when he stated he had not seen his granddaughter since Thanksgiving. In other words, it seems that MB celebrating Christmas with Emily and her family members would not be out of the norm but expected.

In fact, if Evelyn is 15 months, she was probably only weeks old during Christmas 2018 so Christmas 2019 would have been her first Christmas with Evelyn where she was walking and aware of the holiday surroundings.

So TB owns a paving business? Those residences and the expensive equipment belong to him? I know we can't sluethe him but since MSM posted the pics and description, it struck me. IMO I guess I wrongfully assumed this family was more at the poverty level than owning businesses and expensive commercial vehicles, etc based on AB's record and appearance. Also, MB's young boyfriend owns a restaurant (as pictured in the article). I guess I have no point here other than wondering if it is a lot easier in TN to operate and fund a business or something. And where is Evelyn in all of this?

I agree, that’s called life. But, I can also say from the experience of being a sociopaths sister, that dysfunctional lifestyle can and often does effect how a person turns out. MOO

I wholeheartedly agree with this. I am not giving Evelyn’s mother a pass, not at all, however living in a toxic family environment (I too was sister to a sociopath and daughter of a mother with extreme NPD) takes a severe toll. It took me a very long time to realise what I was living was not normal and even longer to extract myself and build a new life for myself.
I remain so confused about this whole case - but at the heart of it is a small child who deserves a happy, emotionally stable life. I hope and pray she can still have that opportunity.

Who’s holding the news conference and at what time?

Just took a quick look at the media, maps, & timeline thread for this case to find that answer as the contributors there are very "on top of it" as far as posting the latest news updates etc, but I dont think we have been given an exact time yet perhaps as this is a tweet I found on the last page of that thread regarding the conference: Sullivan County Sheriffs Office is holding the press conference, but no time has been given yet.

Trauma bonds are very real and definitely affect people and their relationships . I come from an abusive home where I grew up terrified of my mother but always seeking her approval. I’m now an adult almost 40 and our relationship is very complicated. I’m still fearful of upsetting my mother, I still seek her approval and want her love, I still want her in my life, I go to her for advice. Every therapist I’ve ever seen knows our entire relationship past and current and advises to end the relationship and completely cut her out of my life. I’m not willing to do that. When I watch the interviews I think PPs are right she basically had her mom raising EB and that’s why her answers seem so odd . The Christmas present question, the repeated baby shark info, her dad reporting. She’s 18 right? 18 and possibly pregnant again ugh. Even if her mom was keeping the baby why wouldn’t she see her or know if she’d seen her on Christmas . A child that small (and even older) wouldn’t know or care what gifts came from whoever but it’s hard to imagine a scenario where even if she wasn’t raising the baby she wouldn’t see the baby and her family for Christmas . There has been a lot of mischaracterization about our area as a whole.
However, I will say that my own assumptions from what I read is that while TB has a very eyebrow raising past charge, most people talk about how he helped them at one point or the other. And his financial situation is different from that of AB or even MB.

the reason I asked the question about who knows is because if AB were raising Evelyn, there would be many tips to LE, and I have to imagine there would be info about this arrangement either in MSM or in SM at the very least, and I just haven’t seen it.

Agreed. By all accounts MB had Evelyn with her all the time up until she was last seen. It seems very strange that she would go from being a parent 100% of the time to just handing off her baby without a care and not even seeing her or checking in.

IMO the false info charge was to keep her from running. I am afraid we are going to hear some very bad news at the press conference today. I am praying that I am wrong.

This case is reminiscent not only of the Anthony case, but Lisa Irwin and also Ayla Reynolds. Nobody ever had any information that helped find Lisa or Ayla, and it was obvious that they knew what happened! Why isn’t it legal to pump these people full of truth serum???

IMO she looks very young, and very sweet. Hard to believe she is 19 with one baby missing and another on the way. Heartbreaking.

This will work in her favor if this goes to trial.

I was wondering if EB died by accident and MB went into some sort of shock and denial where she has mentally disassociated from the whole thing. She may not even remember what happened.
