Foxfire, it is my understanding you participated in the searches early on. Were you not told what to look for? Thank you in advance.

IMO, in order to look at a viable theory is to look at WHO Holly is and I've always felt this way from the beginning. It is crucial to know everything about the victim before you can even begin to investigate/sleuth a case.

Of course, the public is not told everything and perhaps it's for very good reasons. IDK

I think a list of what we DO know will perhaps help with forming a collective theory of what may have happened that fateful morning. Just a suggestion.

I can start and you all can add:

List not in any particular order.

1) 20 years old.

2) Blonde, Blue Eyes

3) Nursing Student at UT Martin

4) Family are members of First Corinth Baptist Church

5) Holly sang at the Church (we do not know if and when she attended)

6) Holly liked four wheeling with her boyfriend and brother on weekends

7) Holly was to take a very important test the day she disappeared

8) Holly has a Country Singer cousin

9) Holly spoke to one of her best friends the morning she disappeared

10) Holly has a boyfriend

11) Holly drove a 2006 black Ford Mustang

12) Holly would leave home at 7:55 on a typical day

13) Holly would take a lunch break at noon

14) Holly would sometimes go to grandma Bobo, Sonic or Parsons Dairy Bar

15) The day Holly disappeared was a Wednesday

I suppose a list of what we do NOT know may help also.

Please add:

1) Were any repairs being done at the Bobo home (on that day or days leading to her disappearance)

2) Was there construction being done on a neighbour's home/property or any buildings in the area

3) What time is the mail delivered

4) Do they have a meter reader. If so, when and what time of day

5) Do they have newspaper delivery

6) Why was Clint Bobo home that morning when he was not supposed to

7) What kind of weapons did they have inside the home

8) Was anything taken from the home/garage/carport

9) Were Holly's keys left inside the vehicle or was it unlocked

10) Was the front door locked

11) Where did Holly exit from (front door, garage?)

12) Does Holly always take a lunch

13) Does Holly always take a coke can

14) Does Holly always have a camera in her purse

15) Do the Bobo parents always leave the home at that time every day

16) What are the distances from the home to the school, parents workplace

17) Did Holly always take her vehicle to school

18) Do they own their own four wheeler (s)

None of the items listed in the article above were shared with the searchers on the Easter weekend search 2011..or the media.. due to the antiquated silence strategy utilized by the TBI..

Imo, this strategy squanders the most valuable resource in missing persons investigations: The American Public...

Agree. I don't understand it and that is why I did not comment on the article. 17 months later we are finding this out. Unfortunately when it comes to physical searches, I'm useless being miles away in another country but I would think this latest information must be disappointing for those who were searching early on. I would imagine it would have been extremely helpful knowing what you were all looking for.

I don't know how many times many of us asked about jewelry. We knew about the flip flops, we were never told the colour. We knew she wore a pink top and jeans but never specific. *sigh*

Please add:

Was the gas money still on the counter where DB had left it?

Where was the large dog ....at that time of day? Was it on a chain? Did it bark at noises or strangers?

Are there any items of Holly's unaccounted for or missing?

Had Holly been the recent victim of vandalism, threats or theft? Had she ever sought a restraining order against someone?

What was the last phone number traced by her cellular carrier to Holly's phone? Where was the last ping? Was it a camera phone?

My theory is that Holly is the victim of a serial offender and she wasnt the first victim of this offender. He stalked her first and managed to blend in to the landscape, he rapidly gained control of her and had a very specific exit route.

I dont know if he took her a great distance. I think he has been very successful in hiding her, clearly, all of this time. My heart breaks for her family, LE and the searchers who have been working so long and hard to recover her.

If I go with CB's version, IMO, the perp is young, inexperienced and this was his first crime. 20 minutes is a long time to be with your victim outside her home. Perp had to be really sure of himself that:
1) Nobody else was home or if somebody was home they wouldn't be a threat
2) Nobody would show up at the home (neighbour, family member, etc)
3) Nobody was around in the immediate aread to watch them walk into the woods
4) No other hunters hunting

He had the time, opportunity. We lack the motive.

Agree, believe09...and the tragic irony is that if Holly Bobo was abducted by a stranger, or slight acquaintance sexual predator, they are recidivist and more than likely will strike again in the future...

Oh the Parallels....'The Shattered Crystal Vase Continued'

http://waterburyobserver.org/node/402
Billy Smolinski was 31 years old when he vanished.

In the seven years since Billy vanished from his life the case has been investigated by the Waterbury Police Department, the FBI, the Shelton Police Department, the Seymour Police Department and the Connecticut State Police. While at first reluctant to acknowledge Billy was missing, law enforcement has gathered enough information to now conclude he was murdered. Each department has pieces of the vase in their possession, but at no time in the past seven years have all the pieces been placed on a single table at the same time.

“It’s a massive disconnect,” Billy’s mother, Janice Smolinski said.“There are so many clues, but the police aren’t working well together to share the information.”

To further exacerbate an already mind-bending case, no law enforcement agency wants to publicly take the lead in an investigation that has triggered local, state and federal reform into the way police officers respond to the report of a missing adult...

"Can we say, immediate Roadblocks & a Preabduction Plan of action, should there be a next time"?

Meredith Hope Emerson was abducted from Rural Union County, GA on 01/01/2008. Eighteen months later, in August 2009, Kristi Cornwell was also abducted from Union County, GA.
* Both unsuspecting innocent victims were abducted by stranger sexual predators..

She had a restraining order against at least one ex-boyfriend. I believe it was BB.

~n/t~, I honor your opinion, but these are not indicators of a perp who is young, and inexperienced. These are indicators of an experienced psychopathic sexual predator; who is no stranger to the game...very organized & very disciplined...imo..

The obvious motive of a sexual predator is hidden in his description..

Tragically, even as well planned as Holly Bobo's abduction was. Due to the timely 911 calls, imo, Holly Bobo would have been rescued and the abductor apprehended or killed with a proper response and immediate actions; roadblocks, iniated by DCSO..

I'll have to respectfully disagree with you. I think the perp is someone she knew personally hence the reason nobody was a threat to him. 20 minutes to squat and talk in a carport/garage is a long time for a professional sex offender. My experience with following these cases, the victim doesn't even have time to react. The perp subdues her immediately and within minutes they vanish and the body is disposed of quickly.

Her car was right there but instead he chose to walk with her which only reinforces my opinion that he wasn't concerned with anybody spotting them.

:moo:

Maybe some preacher was burning with passion, went rogue and kidnapped her because the Lord told him to - together maybe they could start a whole new "holy" land.

:cow:

This one matches up with my outside-the-box "rogue spokespastors" guess.

She had a restraining order against at least one ex-boyfriend. I believe it was BB.

Unfortunately, that was never stated in MSM so we can't put it as fact. Also, nobody has been named a suspect so we were told we can't sleuth anybody until they are named a poi or suspect in the case.

If the restraining order is true, it is very disturbing. One would hope LE looked into it.

A poll would be interesting without naming names.

Example:

Do you believe Holly was abducted by:

1) A stranger (including a registered sex offender)

2) A stranger sex offender not registered

3) Someone known to her

4) Other (explain)

I'll add to the theory game. Someone who knew her through church. Someone obsessed with her. Perhaps someone who worked with her with charities, volunteer work, fund raisers or any other activities they do at the church.

Perp is young. 30-35. Married. Has early morning job or lied to spouse that they were going fishing, hunting.

~n/t~, he was escorting a compliant Holly Bobo to his unknown vehicle. If he had left his vehicle, we wouldn't be here over 17 months later discussing why this case has grown colder than an Eskimo's buttocks...

Based on pics posted on social media, three out of four of her past/present boyfriends were avid hunters.
