I'm in East TN...looks like storm clouds are rolling in. Hope the weather in Darden is better and doesn't hamper the search.

Its confusing because TBI has never released the details of any of the phone calls that morning...including the "flurry" of calls between Karen, Drew, and Holly~the calls between Clint and Karen~the 911 calls. I believe this would reveal something very important to this case and that is why they refuse to release the timeline of calls. Even if they didn't release the content, the least they could do is give the public some type of timeline related to the calls that morning.
I am NOT fond of the way this case has been handled. HUNDREDS of volunteers tracking through the crime scene within moments of the abduction and searching for a kidnapper in camo who is most likely armed and has already drawn blood from one victim. Doesn't make sense....at all. Not then...not now.
Whole case may well be right there in that flurry. Refusal to release anything led to belief - rightly or wrongly - that someone was being protected.

Yeppers...and it also led to the belief that the TBI does not know how to handle an abduction case.

I have noticed something, totally off the grid here...but when I get really excited or worked up, I can't type worth crap. Sorry for numerous typos and grammatical faux-pays.

If TBI isn't having or hasn't had a "come to Jesus" with someone by now, right after the purse's discovery, they're missing a great bet to crack this one before a body is found. Surely they must have suspects. Uh, one would think.

I wonder if it will be able to be determined with certainty where the bag was found. It could be critical, if it was found on private property.

Nothing further so far on possible presser. I think all area news stations have crews at the scene of the search, so it might not be feasible to cover live unless they have it right there.

I just remember that the lunch thing was found eight miles away from the Bobo house, near, by, or in a creek.

Here's a snip from an article in the media thread that confirms woofie's statement :):

Law enforcement officers have said Bobo's white lunch box was found on a creek bed eight miles from her home.

This one says 6 miles . . . not sure which of the two is correct right now:

Investigators said the search for Holly Bobo, 20, was centered on an area about 6 miles from her home in Darden in a rural area in western Tennessee, WREG-TV, Memphis, reported.

Thank you Cheese! This is a photo of Holly I have not seen previously!

Purple or lilac colored purse is in the photo and I think that would make it readily recognizable...and Holly's hair is longer than I had realized....

The distance between the lunch bag and this bag is confusing.
Does it mean the perp returned home and found they still had the bag, so they hid it locally?
I fear it may not lead to Holly being found, unless it can be tied to a suspect who confesses.

I do think that some of the items found were planted....but what about this item? Perhaps it was easily overlooked while the area was searched by volunteers.
Also, the reports say the purse was "dug up," but could it be that it was simply covered by leaves and debris over the course of two years? Maybe it wasn't "buried" intentionally, but was simply "buried" due to nature's process.

Pretty hard to miss a pink purse in a wooded environment, unless the area wasn't searched or the purse was buried.
