What I don't understand is how GB slept through 3 girls, a wife and a man getting ready for school in the morning. I have one child and we always wake my husband up in some way when we get her ready in the mornings. Perplexes me

My husband can sleep through me and my 4 children getting ready in the am. If I run upstairs for something he'll stir, but he is a sound sleeper. He works from home in technology sales so some nights he is up until 2 dealing with west coast people so he'll sleep until 8:30, after we are gone. Now me on the other hand can't sleep through someone snoring in another room!

Please forgive me if I've missed this but have there been any appearances/words from Adam's parents - the parents he was supposedly living with? Have they been accounted for? TIA!
No, but LE had been very tight lipped about this whole case. Probably trying not to set AM off by saying something wrong.

There was a case a few years back where LE made a BIG show out of searching an area when they were secretly searching another area. The secret area had the body, the big show area had nothing. It is possible that when they get a line on AM, they might do the magic show distraction thing so that AM is not tipped off that they are closing in. Just a thought.

Thanks for the list, VirtualTruth. Here are links to each of the sources mentioned:

You are welcome! Just back and checking in. FYI... djournal.com is the exact same thing as nems360.com ---the newspaper changed the name on site a while back and are using both to see which gets more traffic I think.

What's the closest prison? If they are searching in the woods, I would have no problem with them taking all non-violent offenders and sending them out to hunt this guy down. Knock a year off their sentence!

MOO

I believe there is a Correctional facility near....in Guntown. I saw it mentioned on one of the articles.

None....and I agree with the speculation of "parents". :banghead:

According to the caption for this picture, searchers were looking Sunday in the woods behind 'the home rented by Adam Mayes'

Muckrucker, with respect...if he has killed the family or is anticipating killing the family, you're dealing with someone unstable. While the case eludes me, there was a situation here in Florida where a man killed his wife, but first killed his parents so they didn't see his shame. It's not so much sparing their feelings, but sparing them from seeing his fall. See, it's still about the sociopath--"My arrest and conviction will damage their view of me as the perfect son" etc, etc.

I agree with you.

I think it's all about the rationalisation that the sociopath uses to justify their actions in their own eyes.

They really don't have the capacity for enough perspective to realise how abnormal they are. It's always the rest of the world that is wrong, never the sociopath.

The suspect in the case of a missing woman and her daughters had lived with his parents in the Alpine community only part of the time and in Tennessee the rest, said his landlord Mary Patterson.

For the past two years, Patterson said she has rented the double-wide trailer at 1343 Highway 9 North to Adam Mayes and his family. He lived there with his parents, Johnny and Mary Mayes, as well as a woman Patterson described as Mayes' wife, Teresa Mayes.

All had moved from Tennessee, Patterson said, but she didn't know from which city. White Pages showed a recent address for all four Mayes in Jackson, Tenn., the same place from which Jo Ann Bain, 31, and her daughters – Adrienne, 14; Alexandria, 12 and Kyliyah, 8 – went missing.

Okay, so has anyone seen anything about his parents? He's been a suspect for a while now, is there even so much as a mention of his parents refusing interviews or saying 'no comment'?

ETA: Never mind, I read the article and it says "The rest of the Mayes family has moved into a hotel," Patterson says. So I guess that accounts for his parents...

I have to admit, the fact that AM's parents haven't spoken out leads me to believe that they are the ones are deceased.

OK isn't Tereasa Mayes the same person as another TM on those FB pages?

I thought so too until I read the article saying the rest of the Mayes family had moved into a hotel. Now I'm so confused I don't know what to think :banghead:
