"NASHVILLE, TN — Nashville's district attorney intends to try Trinity Quinn, the 15-year-old charged with the murder of a West Nashville gas station clerk, as an adult, prosecutors informed juvenile court officials Thursday."
"Quinn's next hearing is May 16." (Tomorrow)
"Quinn briefly shopped before Clark approached the counter, pointed the gun at Stevens and then when Stevens tried to grab the gun, stepped back and shot Stevens multiple times. Investigators say the two rifled Stevens' pockets, locating keys, apparently in an attempt to find a car with fuel to further their escape."

It is worded like that is possible. Either way they both rifled through his pockets after he had been shot.

As sad as it is, I'm glad this is coming out. I did not like the posts comparing her to ET and her situation. Two totally different things. Moo.

Agreed.

I just reread, and it does sound like Clark was the one who shot John Stevens. But still. So gross and so not the same as ET.

Hearing scheduled to determine if Trinity Quinn will be tried as adult in Exxon murder

" A hearing has been slated for September to determine if Exxon murder suspect and former AMBER Alert subject Trinity Quinn will be tried as an adult in the case."
"A court clerk told Fox 17 News if Quinn is tried as an adult, she would not be eligible for a death sentence because of her age, but she could be facing life in prison.
If Quinn is tried as a juvenile, any sentence handed down would not surpass her 19th birthday."
"The hearing is set for Sept. 7."

I hope she gets tried as a juvenile, if the charges aren't dropped before then, just because I feel she was groomed for years and years, and once this clown finally took her from her family, he committed this horrible crime while she was with him, and now she has to deal with his actions. IMO

I 10000000% disagree. She is old enough to know hard right from hard wrong.

Running away with an olderman you think loves you is a mistake, shooting a man then going through his pockets is not anywhere near blurred line between right and wrong.

If he shot him and she stood by and did nothing, id feel more ok with her not being charged, but the fact she went through the mans pockets.... right after... shows what kind of person she is.

They wanted to run away they could of, but she had no remorse or hesitation to rob a dying man.

Teens need to see her as an example not think blame can be passed off because your under 18. You make outright evil choices, you should pay

We don't know if she went through his pockets or not, that depends on which article you read, as usual. Even if she did go through his pockets, she very well could have been told to, by a man with a gun who just shot somebody.

It says she went through his pockets too

We will see as this goes on, i have doubt that LE would look to charge her if there wasnt proof she was a willing part of the crimes. Maybe diary, prior texts in the weeks before. MSM did say they planned to run for a while, you do hear bonnie and clyde aspirations from teens before

But IMO even if there is a diary, texts, or even IG posts about being madly in love, and wanting to go for a long ride, she is still a juvenile and doesn't understand life like an adult. IMO

Sorry, to clarify, if diary exists of her spelling out a plan to run away and commit crimes bonnie and clyde style, with this man, then there may be the reason, but its all just wondering IMHO on my part.

It seems like the comparisons are being made on the basis of age and some similar circumstances (appears as if TQ had been groomed for some time by Clark), not on an equivalence of responsibility, etc. between the two minors. I suspect this will be transferred to juvenile court.

WADR those are not good examples.
Number 1 is the only one anywhere close to this case, but even in that one he is 17.
In the second one they are both adults, the third she is 13, so she needs some serious counseling, she has a horrible family life and she is a victim too, and the fourth they are both 14 and will be charged as juveniles, which is what it should be since they are the same age, plus it's in the UK.

You were right earlier, I forgot to add in my reply to you, yes we will have to wait and see what happens.

Police: Gas station clerk shot 10 times for not giving up car keys

May 18, 2017

[...]

A hearing for Daniel Clark was held Thursday morning.

A detective was the only person who testified before the judge decided there was enough evidence to send this case to the grand jury.

Detective Tim Weaver with the Metro Nashville Police Department said Clark confessed to shooting John Stevens several times.

Clark reportedly told investigators he and 15-year-old Trinity Quinn intended to rob Stevens. They wanted his wallet, car keys and cellphone.

Police said surveillance video from the west Nashville gas station shows Clark shot Stevens 10 times when he wouldn't hand over his car keys. Two of those gun shots were to his head, and another two were to his heart.
