State calls Agent Joey Boyd to the stand. On 4/6/2018 he met with the defendant at the Dickson PD. He says Daniels drove himself and Krystal. He was mirandized and the interview was voluntary. We are about to watch this interview. It is lengthy.

We are in what could be a 2 1/2 hour recess. The confession video was about to be played but the state said it was redacted. The defense hasn’t had a chance to watch this version so they are doing that first before it plays in front of the jury.

I don't have much admiration for Defense Teams. I usually loose my patience with them pretty quickly. Especially since they asked this portion to be redacted and now put back in.

It's ridiculous to waste this jury's time when they could easily simply ask the witness after it plays about did the defendant also discuss medications he was on that was not on video.

Looks like we still have about 1hr and 15 minutes to go. That is if my calculations are correct. By the time they get back it will almost be time for lunch. This day is wasted!

It's not like the defense hasn't had access to the full, unredacted video. It shouldn't take that long to simply check for the areas of their concern. And if the redacted proves to be substantially different from the transcript they could object when it is played.

#JosephDaniels - The court went on recess about 2 hours ago. The defense needs to view the approx. 2 1/2 hour redacted confession video before it can be played in court.

They should have fed the jury and prosecution a large brunch and then deprive the defense counsel of a lunch break. The defense is probably not even watching the video. But that's just my thinking.

We are back after an almost 2.5 hour lunch break. Lockert watched the whole redacted confession video during the break. He wants a part of the video involving dogs being dropped off to not be shown to the jury.

#JosephDaniels - Not much has happened today. There was about 30 mins of testimony first thing this morning then court has been recessed for the majority of the time since due to confession video coming up. Def needed to watch it, now state is redacting more.

We finally resumed the trial. Agent Boyd is back on the stand. We are about to watch 2.5 hours of Jospeh Daniels confession video.

Joseph is very conversational with Agent Boyd in the video at first. He recalls waking up, seeing the coffee table moved. He said he thinks Joe moved the coffee table, unlocked the padlock, moved the table back and escaped. The table has wheels.

Joseph says he didn’t get mad at Joe that night. He said he told him he had to eat all his pizza at dinner before he got cake.
