That void got one person smaller with the finding of
Gail Nowacki Palmgren. Considering how close to home she was found is a bit confusing though.

True, but as her vehicle had never been found, I began thinking she would be found with it, if she ever was found. The others (Shelley, Holly, Karen) just seem to have...vanished from the air.

Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box said his department continues to make Swift's case their top priority and text messages from Swift are part of the information they are piecing together.

"The department has a tremendous amount of electronic data on Karen Swift," said Box. "But, we are still asking the public if they have any information about her to contact us. We are looking for anybody that has similar text messages. There may be some messages that didn't show up in our phone records. And she may have sent them from another phone.

Are there any searches planned for Karen?

With all this physical work and her good fitness, the person would have had to drug her, surprise her, or use a gun to get her to go anywhere, it seems. She would not be an easy victim.

Thankful to report that Sheriff Box called my mom today about her communication with Karen in the last month before she disappeared. He put her on speaker with the other lead investigator and asked her questions. They are planning to meet my mom Monday to discuss more.

This is not really anything new, but it shows me the investigation is not stopping. I have my own gut feelings in this, as does my mom, but we are not at liberty to point fingers or judge. My dad was Karen's pastor for years and she lived with us as well. All I know is she didn't leave willingly. I just want to see her again. And answers.

I'm so glad that your Mom is able to help the investigation, and I hope more friends come forward. Keep us posted when you can.

Don't give up hope, above all. They found Gail Palmgren, and I'm just sure they will find Karen and some of the other missing women.

It also notes "early stages of decomposition" which should narrow the possibility of it being Karen or not.

Goodness...it doesn't seem as though there should be another body within so few miles of the house (I mean other than Karen's), but of course it is possible...if she is deceased I hope this body is hers, so that there may still be evidence of what happened to her.
