I can't get past the fact that he left his daughters and grandchildren. He's basically showing them that they aren't important to him.

I am struggling with that too. After spending so much effort on portraying himself as the perfect husband, father, grandfather, and doing it in such a public way (social media) it's even more cruel and perplexing.

I wish I knew what his thought process was. How did he expect to get a job? It wouldn't be in teaching and quite possibly never in healthcare either. Both fields would be very unlikly to hire him. So what's left? ET has barely begun high school and can't drive and her job prospects would be more entry level. The money he left with will not last long, especially if the car needs repair or they need medical care.

My fear is that he is keeping ET with him because he may think that if he keeps her with him, she cannot testify against him, in addition to his obsession with her and his control issues. His lack of planning and defiance of authority make finding ET before that money runs out crucial IMO. When the resources dwindle and ET begins questioning TC's abilities it will become a lot more dangerous. I see TC as having a very evil side. I wish by the end of every day that we have a sighting or she is safe and here is another day and nothing. :(

Someone mentioned Vegas and I've heard that rooms and meals are fairly cheap there, is this the case?

i haven't found much to be cheap on the Vegas strip.. Vegas is also full of surveillance cameras in casinos etc isn't it?

Vegas is desert. June = frickin hot; not 100% sure but likely that June is going to be a cheaper time of year. How many of those days are weekdays? I live in an adjacent state and have never found a new side of strip hotel for that. Plus a lot have $20 a day resort fees. Excalibur, Rio seem cheapest when I've looked recently. My husband had a Vegas trip a couple of weeks ago; he booked a groupon for a room over $200/nt for Thurs and Fri... When I questioned that, he said it was a popular weekend and the rate wasn't that high compared to other hotels. Definitely no $30 rooms to be found then on the new side of the strip. I have also not found this mysterious cheap eating others speak of... Would love to know which casinos are cheap. I find it more economical to go to Trader Joe's, Walmart, or a fast food off the strip, but we always have a car.

I've been going to vegas for 20 plus years. I don't stay on the strip that often... once you have been there/done that.... its not worth it. Fremont Street/Downtown/'old' vegas is the 'hip' spot. Hotels any time of year have specials, and if you are 2 blocks off main strip, its even cheaper. I don't expect they'd stay on the strip. But even Circus Circus on the strip is 35/40 night during the week.. and yes, it does go up on weekends. Depends on what events are going on. Prices change daily. And again, if you get out of the 'named' places on the strip, more where locals go, its cheap. Steak and Lobster, 9.99 :) and of course the buffets etc. For someone only being out of TN once in her life, it would be a HUGE adventure for ET. Fremont Street alone is spectacular and entertaining for days. Not including all the places to go outside if you have transportation... the Grand Canyon, Hoover Damn, Lake Meade.

We don't know how that tip came about. There was zero reason for anyone in OKC to be looking for them on the 15th.

Wal-Mart is a big supporter of missing children networks. Most stores will have a board with the pictures and info of missing children. It would not surprise me that TC was spotted due to information Wal-Mart received on ET.

That said, i don't think they are in Vegas.... maybe they HAD been for a couple nights.. but i think they are Mexico bound...or further south.

Warning: JMO, IMO etc. not a verified lead etc.

1 --- Twice captured on Walmart camera (in TN and in OK) Tad Cummins will walk into a Walmart again soon. Have Walmart review their cameras daily.
2 --- Keep looking for the Nissan rogue … to eliminate it as a continuing getaway.
3 --- What other vehicle (besides the rogue) could Tad Cummins use? Suppose he started his preparation to abscond in January 23. Unbeknown of his wife and acquaintances, he has had another vehicle somewhere. The Nissan was just to get to that other vehicle and the Nissan is now idle in a garage.
4 --- After 3 weeks, it makes sense to make the search nationwide. Tad Cummins should be put in the FBI’s most wanted list and other national databases.
5 --- Every human needs transportation, food and drinking water, and home. Keep watch on public transportation (such as busses and train), any grocery store, and isolated vacation homes such as near seashore or lake. I was wrong when I guessed he went to the outer islands on NC, SC, and GA. If he thinks of running for the long haul, he did not head north. Thus, he is moving west, south west, or may be back south east (if he is clever).
6 --- Put a surveillance on Tad Cummins and Elizabeth Thomas’ relatives, friends, and acquaintance. I have said it before and I repeat now. They were, are and will be getting help from a misguided third person.
7 --- Humans are creatures of habits. The longer Tad Cummins is on the run, the more he will want (1) to do what he has done before (what is his main hobby), (2) to go where he has been before (where did he grew up as a 15 to 25 year old man?), and (3) to seek help from those who helped him before (are his parents still alive? Where do his siblings live?)
8 --- I am not surprised Elizabeth Thomas is bedizened with Tad Cummins’ oversized flannel shirt. It tells of their interaction. Don’t be shocked if I view it as a good news. It shows that he cares (in his way) and she is safe (relatively). We should not be locked in one set of picture images. They could alter their appearance many times.

In conclusion, not to offend the LE but I am still surprised that the OKC Walmart pictures were dated 3/15 and investigated only many days later. Much water has passed under the bridge by then. If the LE continues to act like that, there no limit to what the LE cannot do.

Agree with 6. The "friend" eventually said that ET had told her prior to the disappearance that there was a plan to help hide them but plans fell through and they aretypoe going to head west. When asked what town she said she couldn't remember (NG podcast with Lawyer).
They've been out too long with no sighting to be getting the things they need somehow, betting getting help. Doubt it is a relative or friend at this point given what happened to the wife, they would mostly be supporting her now. Maybe a woman, not sure why I think that, or couple.

For some reason I keep thinking north, like Idaho, Utah, Montana... but I think I'm wrong and still stuck with the Hannah Anderson story in my head.

It's snowing outside my window and it's April... Not exactly great sleeping in the car weather. I bro forgetting that part.

I can't imagine who would be helping them... we've heard nothing of networking stuff found on his computer... Did this dbag really think he was going to pull this off long term? I mean, on the one hand I hope he has because that's less scary for Elizabeth, but at the same time I'm like "what are you thinking dude?" what did he plan to do after the initial run? What comes after the walk into the sunset?

There was talk earlier of hobbies and the like. Do we know if Bad Tad is a sports fan? There is a big game on tonight if you're a basketball fan. Just throwing it out there as something that might bring him out in public. Restaurants and even his beloved Walmart have tv's IF he is a fan.

Why stop there? Maybe we can get Keifer Sutherland from CTU to solve this one for us.
Exactly!
Lol!!!!
At this point I think Sylvia Brown should join though!

Hmm...there are apparently a number of motels that offer rooms for cash without id. Did a search on the net and they do exist. They're not chains, but they are clean. Some require a $500 deposit that is returned when you check out.

I stayed at a chain hotel a couple nights ago that advertised cash only guests needed to pay a $50 deposit.

Re: Las Vegas. I agree that the amount of security cameras in and of itself in the gambling districts would presumably make Vegas a no-go for any fugitive on the run. Also, it's filled with so many tourists from around the country that the chances of being noticed by someone aware of the case increase tenfold over other cities "out west", IMO.

I hate seeing threads continue to grow in numbers. It's great everyone is still helping but the more threads the more worried I get. Jmo and all that jazz.

I've heard those states are popular with survivalists and preppers, which he wants to be. It would be easy to disappear in the mid-North or PacNW. Way out in the wilderness. No one would pay attention to them and he could work for cash. You're right - they would need some heavy duty winter gear and being from the South they probably don't, and they'd be in for a real shock.

No Ducks :(

Good idea, though. And yeah Walmart has television displays.

(Just for the record... If anything hinky ever happens to me, please note my feelings for Walmart are not in logical correlation with how frequently I shop there. I hate the place and all it stands for, yet I go there dutifully twice a month. I'm a Walmart hypocrite.)

Is all this prepper talk on this thread why I'm seeing ads for "cricket protein powder" all over WS the last few days? Blech.

Sorry for being so off topic and prolific tonight I maybe had too much coffee.

Can't remember who (sorry!) brought up TC's infamous song this evening but it reminded me that he stated on his resume that he has something like 65 songs copyrighted. I checked the ASCAP and BMI artist databases (the two main copyright holders in the US) and his name didn't come up. Guys, hang on to your hats here.......I think Tad might have lied!

I couldn't find any either! I agree, probably another 'Tad-racation.'
