They have got to be more specific with the type of vehicle. I guess I've never really paid much attention to know if this is the norm or not for Alerts, but I do feel valuable time is lost with these vague alerts when they undoubtedly know exactly the type of vehicle someone may be in.

We were out shopping one day and my husband still had his uniform on...some little kid came running up to him, crying that he lost his mom. He asked the kid what she looked like, and he said "she...she...has...hair!" Good thing she was only two aisles away. I always think about that when a really vague Amber Alert goes out.

When I saw his wife pleading for him to come back and they all can work it out I sensed that she was really naive about the whole thing.

She seemed to be a real nice lady and just the kind of person that he could manipulate over the years. Someone he could control and she would not question him.

I hope he's changed his mind. I do wish they would give more info on why they believe they are still in this area. I just checked my 3 local news stations and there's not a whole lot of new info on it, nothing I saw about them maybe still being around here. You would think the local media would be all on top of it to help look out for the vehicle.

I don't know. Having been in a similar situation, there was no nice warm bed to go back to or nice clothes. I may have missed my siblings after a while, but just getting away from my house would have been reason enough to go off with this man - especially with all the promises it seems he made to her. When she is found, I'd bet there will be a long period of adjustment and maybe even resentment for him being in prison.
 
Does anyone know if TC or ET had Tumblr or Reddit accounts? I don't know much about either except that they are (or were?) popular with the teens. Not that TC is a teen but it might be something he used to interact with his students.

There's a chance they've located the vehicle and are withholding that info, could be why the AA hasn't gone anywhere other than AL and TN. It is hard to believe that they would still be driving that same car without any sightings.

I could see a parking lot be chosen by them to get a few hours shut eye.

Its rather difficult to find a place to park and sleep and not be afraid of a security guard or someone else showing up at random.

Large parking lots are actually a pretty good option. So long as they covered themselves with a blanket and stayed laying low with seats way back. And park in an isolated area of the lot with not much danger of another car showing up. The time frame is usually in wee hours of the morning so it really is not a bad place that LE checks these out.

One time my brother and me got to a place about 3 AM and it was way too early to check in and we chose the motels parking lot to sleep till it got later in the morning.
 
Back in my day when we went "clubbing" we were too cheap to cab home so we slept in our car until morning. [emoji15][emoji849] the foolish things I did lol.

Even in a Canadian deep freeze. We even had sleeping bags. Lol.

That's a good point. We're all looking at it from the perspective of an adult...we know he has nothing left to go back to, but he may have her convinced that she doesn't have anything either.

Okay, so let's start here. This should create a clickable/zoomable map for the Decatur area.

If you select the map icon in the lower left, it will switch between street map and Google Earth map which will show you more of the landscape.

This is probably obvious to all, but clicking the + or - zooms you in and out.

What I see immediately are forest areas called Bankhead National Forest and Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge. Let's click around and add more areas of interest in this area.

Once we get a list going, I will flag some of these areas of interest and add a more developed map reflecting those spots.

They need to release more information on how TC was looking for work in Decatur. It can't be in person as there have been no sightings. The phones pinged there so maybe he used the internet on his cell phone to look for work. They also haven't said what day this occurred in relation to them leaving.
And when ET left her bag at Shoney's they said no one saw anyone pick it up. So how long was the bag there. Normally after your table is cleared it would be put behind the cashier or hostess table. If no one saw her where was the bag? It might tell us how far they could have gotten before turning around and going back.
I do hope her family was able to do their search in Decatur the weather didn't sound promising and its storming here in Middle TN now.

He has nothing to return home to a job, family, reputation, only a jail cell where he will meet Bubba. I hope he doesn't pull a murder suicide that would be tragic.
