As sad as this is, it is miraculous he was found before the snow and they had to suspend the search. Rest in peace, sweet little Noah.

I am so sad. But also a bit angry.

Why don't they ever assume a child can go a mile or more?! Why didn't they search farther out on day one?! I don't understand it at all.

Just saw another tweet that said 'half a mile' and another one that said 1 mile. Lets wait for confirmation.

Tweet above says found after extended grid search so one would assume it was more than half a mile. I'm not slating LE or all the many volunteers whom searched, they done an amazing job. If this was a tragic accident then it is what it is but lessons surely need to be learnt here, have ppl search inwards aswell as outwards.

I thought that would be the news tonight. Just gutted. RIP sweet angel, and I pray for peace and strength for the family. I cannot even imagine. I suppose I'm grateful they've got some closure before the weather caused a scale back. Was nice to finally hear some descriptions of Noah, and it sounds like he was an amazing boy who flew too far this time. RIP angel.

The sheriff guy said 1.5 miles, and added that they go by statistics for how far a certain age child could travel, and he was outside those markers.

I just came back for update... and saw the tag went from active search to found deceased. I figured as much with them wanting to speak with family first before the conference. It will be interesting to find out just how far he traveled- it would most likely help future searches for missing children. I am thankful he was found. My heart is broken for this family.

Did they say whether he was in woods, sinkhole, etc? Will they do an autopsy?

My deepest sympathies to his entire family.

This community was so impressive. They came out in force to support this family and look for Noah. I think LE worked together really well, using all available resources.

Volunteers put in countless hours in tough conditions.

This little guy brought so many hearts together - all focused on him.

I scaled 3 different locations on the map that were 1 mile plus back when I first made up the map.

I guess they finally worked their way out far enough.

I still suspect he was trying to walk towards someones yard light or the lights coming from the city of Henderson.

The sheriff said "about 1.5 miles from where he went missing from" that'll do for me and my initial thoughts still stand

Absolutely sick to my stomach and floods of tears.

Now I'm left with all the 'what ifs', if only the statistics they'd been given ensured they searched a little further than the radius they were given.... Of course, I'm sure they'll be thinking 'what if' too.

Just heartbreaking for everyone involved. That poor family will never be the same again.... so very sad.
