So, this person rescued her thru abduction? And they went to his mothers? Then SP called FBI after 2 weeks?
It doesn't sound like she was taken against her will nor held against her will. I know, I know, he had no legal right to do what he did. But what a bazaar story!

I still say her adopted dad sold her or lent her out for a fee. He is a sicko and he likely took the video of the sex and sent it out himself. I always believed that. She wouldn’t have ran away in the dark and cold from an isolated farm. She is a kid!

People, he wasn’t helping. He was ARRESTED for abduction.

Not saying that she couldn't have been handed off to someone else, but on the day she was located, the sheriff DID state that:

The sheriff did say he believes she left home under her own will and was fleeing a bad home situation.

So I'm going to stick with that until someone officially says something else.

SP is the one who called the FBI two weeks in and she was still with this guy for another week after that. So, I'm thinking he wasn't taking advantage of her. But this is still really bazaaro!
