You didn't miss much Steely. Just a lot of the witness talking in general terms about cases that have nothing to do with this trial (blah, blah, blah it went on and on). People got pretty tense when Wilmott started questioning her on a hypothetical situation where she was obviously asking about a scenario much like TA's rough childhood, and would that breed an abuser. Peeps were pizzed over that. A sneaky way of the DT trying to tie what she's talking about to this case.

Fear not! Juan's hypothetical will knock it out of the park!

I take it I didn't miss much today. Apparently, all ALV talked about was DV in general terms. But a whole DAY was needed for this?

I did catch a bit of the end of testimony. Please tell me she didn't drone like that the whole day! I'm surprised that she does all these speaking engagements because that droning voice sounds sooo unengaging. At least Dr. Samuels sounded animated even if everything he said was rubbish.

And how does one bill for therapy with no license. If she's not licensed, how is she an expert/current on her stuff?

Those may not be actually cancellation of her license, but cancellation of that specific license number. ? Perhaps every three years the State of Ca. gives the applicants a new number when they renew their license. ?

I read her CV last week and she obtained her master's degree sometime in the 80s. Maybe this affected her license number/registration.

In PA, the license number is kept forever if you pay your fees, complete your CMEs, aren't convicted of a felony, and don't become a substance abuser.

Just a thought on Travis' nice house vs. her grandparents' more modest home;

I don't know if her grandparents owned their home outright or were still holding a mortgage, as "crappy" as it is according to some, but Travis had two mortgages on his house and according to his texts to JA where he says he is trying to save his house, he wasn't able to make those payments easily.....I think I would rather own a home that I can afford even if some people make fun of it as opposed to a really nice home and a closet full of custom made clothes with a lien on it.

Jodi's grandparents are not on trial and their home is a perfectly nice one. . They bought what they could afford. How is that shameful?

We know that JA and ALV have at least spoken...JM questioned JA about it on the stand...I think it was to the effect that she had lied to ALV.

IIRC, she initially told ALV that she saw Travis looking at the pedo pix on a computer, but changed her story when his hard drive came back clean. This is what is floating around.

Um, further reading of her CV is pretty interesting. She does a lot of TALKING about abuse...but I'm not seeing a whole lot of hands on knowledge.

I'm reading the recap of the day's testimony on HLN... and I'm a bit confused. Is it just me or does ALV seem to think Travis was the abused one? The stuff she said about "terrorism" and stalking behavior being one of the worst form of domestic violence seemed to describe JA's behavior, not Travis'. And the abusing animals bit... that's also JA.

What she said about victims of domestic violence do not like to talk about sexual abuse is like the complete opposite of JA. She took so much joy rambling on and on about her sexual escapades all while trying to claim it was not something she wanted.

Everything she said about controlling and being obsessed... that was all JA! Nobody has ever said Travis behaved that way, ever! Do you think ALV will just lay out what she thinks domestic abuse looks like, and not actually SAY that Travis abused JA?

If she is an ethical and professional woman who believes in her work and stands behind what she does, she will not claim JA as a victim of domestic violence. What a complete slap in the face that would be to the people that she has made her life's mission to help. I hope she does the right thing.

She is licensed as a marriage and family therapist (until May if she doesn't renew it lol), not a psychologist
