Oh I get it. When the Judge says 9:30 she means 10:15! Silly me.

While we're waiting, shall we start taking bets on the color of the day for the DT? Or is that too OT?

Ugh.... *drraaaaaaaaags self in*

I feel like crap. Can't stop sneezing for the life of me, pounding head ache but I AM HERE DAMMIT!

Now let's start this thing. No excuses Jodi. Take your meds and get to court!

Until the trial begins, I have trouble focusing on what is really relevant to the discussion and what is not.

I equate the time before the action begins as pre-game warmups. Sometimes, I even pace back and forth in front of a full length mirror and pretend I'm JM getting ready for his shot at cross. TMI...I know.

This made me laugh so much I started coughing and there was tears rolling down my face. Two colleagues came into my office to ask what was wrong.

Morning all! :seeya:

Quick question...I know the jury is not allowed to discuss the case amongst themselves (or with anyone!) but are they allowed to "whine" to one another about all these lengthy delays? Meaning for instance, this morning...we're already running late, while they are in their holding area, can they yap to one another about the delay, etc?

TYIA!

It's interesting that Judge Stephens is still hearing another case, after 9.30 (not the first time). And yet she never extends the lost time on this trial.

That's probably because the jury has to get there on time no matter when (or if) the trial starts.

Do you hate Windows's 8 as much as I do??
Let's get on with this show AZ

Ohhhhhh yes. My cursor flies all over the place the minute my hand gets near the keyboard. Have to figure out how to control it with just the mousepad.

I am present . . . . I have cancelled a meeting for this afternoon . . . . not feeling well. Hoping to be able to pseudo-transcribe today without a lot of interruption.
Sending you healing vibes - feel better!!
Thanks for all you do wen

The OT stuff keeps us from cursing and ranting. I like a little OT humour. :(

My question is, why is this juror in the vicinity of JM and taking cell pictures.
Jurors have their own entrance/exit out there , dont they?

But who said it was a juror sitting out there? I thought the jurors were escorted to their transportation, and I don't believe one of them sits out there alone, in front of the courthouse having a smoke on break. They must have their own area for that. I call BS again. :furious:
