Definitely easy to understand the rule about not discussing religion. I've steered clear even though I do have some questions about the LDS folks. I just don't view those questions as being that important to the trial.

It is difficult, based on the antics of the DT, Arias and their witnesses, not to get frustrated and let it show through in posts. I would guess the main purpose of filtering the negative comments is to retain the integrity of the boards since I'm sure things could get really, really bad if people just posted what they are thinking as this unfolds.

So/What will the next witness be adding to already dragged out testimony?

Instead of personally tormenting these "expert" witnesses, I wish we could use the force of numbers to get REAL court reform.
Either have psych testimony completely disallowed since it is not scientific, or figure out a way to have a single neutral expert.

The system is the one at fault here - it gives these people a platform, a means to bolster their egos and believe their opinion is of value. It also gives them dump trucks full of money.

Why Gilligan, you are a smart one there! :rocker:

The seal is up at Wild About Trial. Here's hoping we get testimony today-this is ridiculous if LaV is the holdup again.

Regarding ALV.... I certainly don't wish any harm on her. I don't think people should harass her in public or online.

Having said that I do not feel sorry for her. She needed to go to the hospital due to anxiety? How about Travis' family having to hear lies about their loved one? How about hearing Travis being slandered! What about their heartache, sadness and anxiety? We have all seen the crime scene and autopsy photos. We've heard ALV's completely biased testimony. JM's method of dealing with her on cross speaks volumes.

ALV is purposely trying to stand in the way of Justice for Travis. I do see things in black and white at times and this case necessitates such a view. I'm taking time off from everything else in my life only for Travis. I don't find this trial to be entertaining. Quite the opposite. I support JM a 100%. My compassion is for Travis and his family alone.

As far as ALV is concerned there's only two alternatives:

1) She believes what she's saying thus disqualifying her from working with couples with deep issues (seeing she only needs one person to formulate the opinion of the other)

2) She's purposefully creating a image of a man she never met by ignoring common sense, modifying facts, fine-tuning logic and assuming the words from a known liar-----all for the sake of the almighty dollar.

It's one or the other: She's either inept or immoral. Take your pick.

I don't wish anyone ill but if ALV is having a mental melt-down then perhaps the Universe is working its karma because for the reasons stated above, anyone believing what she's trying to sell doesn't have a grip in reality or a toe hold in logistics.

And again, for reasons stated above, if she's doing this on purpose then.....we should expect more emotional turmoil to plague Ms LaViolette which she alone has brought on.

I couldn't tell if the word was 'porking' or 'corking' but either way, it mischaracterized what was actually said during the call and IMO contributed to the biased opinion she proclaims not to have.

:what:
my jaw dropped....:floorlaugh:

If ALV is not in court today because of social media etc. getting to her then how on earth is this trial going to move along? She would be better off just getting up there and getting it over with and then going home. Dragging it out is just going to increase the negativity especially now because of the article that is floating around.

OT did anybody see that reporters keyboard? (Michael Kiefer). Ewww

ETA: ALV is in court. Let's get this trial movin' and onto the next witness!

In regards to the USA Today article I want to point out that the lady who took the dinner pic has posted under comments and she was not following AVL she was in the same restaurant and recognized them. She is trying get the article corrected to reflect the truth.

I wish no harm to AVL.
She is an adult and made her choices. She has stated under oath that she could pull out from testifying at any time and she has chosen not to.

Jodi is entitled to a fair trial so in one regard I am happy that AVL has stepped forward to help her DV defense that her lawyers have chosen to hang their hats on. I do not personally believe Jodi was abused and I am offended with much of AVL's testimony based on my personal experience with DV for far too many years.

To me AVL's testimony is one less reason for appeal once the guilty verdict is read as they did have an expert testify and they still lost.

Lets hope they get to jurors questions today.

Hln showing clips of JM ! A defense attorney will tell what it's like to go toe to toe with juan martinez. After commercial west coast time here.:seeya:

It ticks me off that Jodi now has her own website selling her art ( her name dot com) , run by Donovan. It is NOT JAII site
There is a new piece of art, an hourglass. Where is she getting the heavy acid free paper for her art? It does not appear that she is using heavy 200# paper while in trial. Plus, after seeing her Snow White drawing, I do not believe the art being sold is actually done by Jodi. Look at the signature from the art compared to her documents, not the same. I understand there is a relative who is an artist, either a cousin or older brother.

Any money made from the art, or donations should go to Travis' family. It shows she has been making money, maybe when the trial is over the victims rights can go after it.

BHGpwQPCMAEaTpR.jpg Just my own opinion I hope this does not get me a time out.

People are apparently inflamed. Some of it may be a carry over from the previous sensational trial where the seemingly guilty person walked scott free.

It's all becoming so heated. Folks acting out everywhere. Even the one on trial speaking out on the social media thru a spokesperson.

What did I miss?

Can Alyce be forced to return to the courtroom to finish up? If not, and she declines to return claiming fears for her safety or such, I'd think the defense team would have their first solid motion for a mistrial.

Hope its just a bad rumor that she won't appear today.

Wonder if she might threaten to not come back unless media is removed from the courtroom?

I would imagine she could threaten all she wants. Doesn't mean it will happen. I would think the judge would/could hold her in contempt! :gavel:

I don't think she has that kind of power. Even if she thinks she does. :twocents:

What is so interesting about the information you posted is that given all that you have posted is true....and it does temper my opinion of ALV, what has really made me dislike her on a personal level is her behavior in the court room with Mr. Martinez.

She would have had ample opportunity to find out what kind of prosecutor he is and his court room 'style'.

Her behavior does not come across as professional and I believe this is to her detriment.

The expert witness also had time to review all testimony on behalf of JA and she did not do it. JM brought that out in her testimony. She chose to do this.

I'm sorry, legal system, but this is what a mob looks like these days. It's electronic. Maybe you'd prefer that we show up with signs outside????

The reason it's so calm outside the courtroom is because there are online avenues to express public opinion. Public trials are public for a reason--so we can see justice in action. And when we see things we feel are unfair, we say so, whether it's with torches, marches, parades, boycotts, hacking, or whatever.

We have a court system so we won't have people tarred, feathered and run out of town on a rail.... you can't shut up public outrage. It will find an avenue and it could be a lot worse than words on fora (plural of forum?).

How about the defendant demeaning the prosecutor who is the representative of the people. She has the RIGHT? Did I hear that? She has the right to tweet with her one phone call but we don't have the right to call her paid liar a paid liar?

Bottom paragraph ---> apparently not. :(

If it was me I apologize... What exactly happens when the margins are blown? Just wondering :seeya:

People have to scroll over to the right.

Not really a big deal to me but it may be more of an issue with those on portable devices.

How about making it a requirement that experts be approved by both sides and prepared by both sides? That way we'd be sure nobody comes in with a distorted set of facts/evidence.
