Hey DB she can't freely communicate because she's in jail FOR STABBING TA 29 TIMES, SLITTING HIS THROAT & SHOOTING HIM IN HEAD!

Call it crazy but LE kinda frowns on free communications for 'alledged' killers..

She was only given information that would have seemingly corroborated Jodi's story, nothing that contradicted it or shed light on the true nature of the relationship.

I think the defense probably thought they had to let the question be asked. If a juror suspects ALV had a hand in those shenanigans they would definitely feel she was biased. So I think they sort of felt they had to let her answer it. (of course, there are many other issues that may lead them to conclude she is biased.)

(this is referencing the question about if the secret magazine messages that JA tried to sneak out were for ALV)
