Anyone think there was any connection between JW asking DD about flight or fight right before lunch and Jodi ending up going back to jail in the afternoon? Sounds like a perfect "I don't want to deal with this" opportunity for Jodi.
Going to be a whole lot of those coming up with Dr D on the stand. LOL

I'm wondering how long JJS is going to put up with the migraine excuse - real or imagined. There has to be an alternative of some kind.

It has been painful trying to listen to Wilmott's cross the last day and a half. Not that I expected anything else.

I don't mind a good strong defense attorney, it's actually interesting watching them present, and I'm not even mad that she is going after Dr. D. about her age and experience... that's all part of taking down a witness... but I absolutely can't get past the snotty banter in her voice.

She comes across very poorly... instead of sounding like a prepared professional who is driving home a point, she sounds like an annoyed teenager who is quarreling with her sister. All the while, Nurmi is chuckling at the table. I was particularly turned off yesterday by their demeanor during court. You can be smart and firm without acting like that.

:truce:

I think Wilmott is doing a good job. The problem is she's unprepared. JM knows the tests, Wilmott doesn't. The Dr. DeMarte has to keep correcting her on the finer points of the tests.

Seriously, when I play that little video, it sets my mood for the day! You can not watch that and not want to get up and dance!

I admit that I NEVER "share" on facebook.

I "shared" that!

:rocker:

A few people commented on Nurmi smirking yesterday and thought it was at DD. I don't know why but I have the impression he was more smirking at the ridiculous nature of the situation and probably some of the questions JW had asked. Remember he outright laughed when he heard about the Cameron Diaz pic in spiderman underwear?

What are people's thoughts on how Nurmi would have done cross?[/QUOTE]

We would still be at "what year did you get your license," followed up of course by "how did that make you feeeeeeeel?"

Amster - long time no see, hope you are well.

Question - did Ms. Walker have any comment about Ms. Arias driving 1000 miles by any chance ? This aspect fascinates me and just screams that there was no fear in Jodi's mind. This fact totally throws the word fear IMO.

Howdy!

No, she didn't say anything specific about the trial. Just she didn't see any "imminent danger" with regards to Jodi.

So it was reported even some jurors were laughing along with court personnel when the defendant was sadly not able to carry on, again. Tells me the jury is getting a dose of Jodi-drama, knows what Travis was talkin' about in his last texts to her.

Juror Question #1: Dr. DeMarte, thank you for being so clear, concise and thorough with your answers. They way you have explained very difficult topics within your field of expertise is so refreshing.

Now, my question is...has anyone ever told you that your face and eyes make you a spitting image of a brunette version of Heather Locklear?

Juror Question # 1: Dr. DeMarte, in your expert opinion, whose judgement would you trust more? a) an expert in a particular field who's been practising for 30 years but does not adhere to that fields professional protocols and shows bias or b) an expert in the same particular field as (a) who has been practising for approximately 9-10 years who strictly adheres to the protocols and remains unbiased?

VERY slowly............

I asked AZLawyer if JA was in hospital would the trial continue with a video feed to her. Here's AZLawyer's response:

But no, the trial would not continue with a video link for her, because the point is not just for her to be able to SEE what's going on, but also to be able to HELP her counsel. The only possible way she'd be set up somewhere with a video link would be if she were engaging in EXTEMELY disruptive behavior--and in that case, the place she'd be put would be right next to the courtroom. And she'd probably be allowed to text her lawyers.

There you have it. IMO this is JA's plan. Make herself sick enough to put the trial on hold indefinitely.
Geeze - you were answering my question as I was typing it!! LOL I have a hard time believing there is no other remedy - this could last forever if JA keeps pulling this carp!

No Nurmi laughed when JD stated something about when person's life is threatened they may not be scared/in fear, he laughed b/c he thought it made her look biased. He is as unprofessional as JW minus the close contact w/ JA

Good job doing what?
