Hey- Y'All - I think this witness told it like it is.

DT was trying to draw out one thing, but this is an Excellent Witness. She spoke clearly to the jury and explained things well IMO. When you put her side to side with the two defense witnesses together,

OT, but for everyone that uses Tapatalk app, I recently bought the Tapatalk 2 app and love it 1000 times better! Kinda expensive though (3.99) but IMO well worth the $.

I still don't understand why, since it is a condition that does exist and if that's the truth, the jury should hear it.

Meanwhile, leaving the jury with just a diagnosis of BPD is cr*p.

JA's BPD did not slaughter Travis. Her psychopathy did.

ITA and had the same questions.

If she gets to be diagnosed falsely with PTSD, called a "victim" of DV, then diagnosed as borderline, why couldn't the State go further?

It is a capital case, she is very dangerous, and to me, that would be the most compelling reason to execute a person, the continuing danger. Since she is without remorse or conscience, had no feelings at all for her victim (all shown by her actions), and could kill anyone if they acted in a way she didn't like, why not let the jury know what it means to be a psychopath like they allowed with DV ad nauseum?

Could it be because the label doesn't matter and the evidence is so strong? Still, that doesn't explain why they stopped at BPD.

Why, why, why doesn't anyone ever say there is a high probability that camera ended up in the washer by accident? I have a feeling she had several articles in her hands to throw in the washer, and the camera was scooped up with them. I've thrown food scraps in the trash, and later on found I had accidentally thrown away a fork or spoon. And I wasn't under a fight or flight situation.

I have always considered that to be highly likely, Maryann. After all the chops, the rip and the bang, i think she realized that some of the pics needed deleting. Why didn't she just cram it in her backpack or bag and get on with the rest of it??

Anyway, after the does the deleting, she goes into the bathroom to wash herself off of TA, and then to wash herself. Then, she frantically cleans up the blood from the floors, etc., as best she can, then she piles up all the bloody towels and any bloody clothing (if he took off his clothes in the bathroom before he showered) and any clothes that might have some of her DNA on them, and takes the whole pile to the washer. In her haste, the camera is scooped up and thrown in there with all the bloody stuff.

It seems to me that she would have taken the camera, for spite if nothing else -- and it may well have been better than hers -- and maybe she was planning to take it but thought the pics should be off of there just in case... Dunno.

The camera being scooped up with all the towels, etc., and thrown in the washer is a big probability, IMO.

I'm so glad Dr. Demarte was allowed to get in Jodi hiding in his house behind the Christmas Tree to spy on him.

HOW utterly creepy is that! WHO does that! (Jesus every good spy knows just plant a tiny wireless camera IN the tree you don't put your whole self behind it!)

She twisted that incident in her journal by writing that they fell asleep holding hands.

His friends who were there said Travis slept in his office that night because he gave his BR to two friends and was unaware she was still there.

That girl is just buggy.

She doesn't love anyone, she's just not capable.

She viewed Travis as an object to serve her purpose until he wouldnt anymore. Then she suffered a narcissistic injury..... I don't think anyone prior ever called her out and spoke to her the way Travis did. .the result he was disposable and needed to pay with his life.

You know what -- you're so right! Thinking back to how she conducted herself in those police interviews and then the television interviews and going about he business like nothing happened immediately after slaughtering Travis -- she wasn't traumatized.

Thank you and I agree. This trial is upsetting to me, it conjures up bad feelings about myself (I feel like a monster) and I've thought heavily about many things.

I agree with you that she is a psychopath. I whole-heardly believe she is. I think she can be diagnosed as just about anything because that's what she's portraying at that moment.

What a Trial like this does to many of us is cause us to reflect on every relationship we have had, even friends not just dating type, and things we would do different, things we didn't do we should have.

Having this on TV puts every detail of their life out there. We have a tendency to say did I do that? or did I act like that?

Although I don't know what bad feelings about yourself you would have, I don't like to hear that. The fact you able to express what you did shows you have "feelings". And having feelings means you have a conscience and a soul. So I hope you don't feel bad. Most of us would re write a few chapters in our book of life so far...

I thought Jodi kicked her mother in 2008 but Dr. D acknowledged during cross today the kicking of Jodi's mother was when Jodi was basically a teenager?

Where did I get the idea she kicked her mother during a fight when her mother arrived in AZ to help her move back to Yreka?

I have been thinking the same thing, I am positive there has been testimony about Arias kicking her mom after she was an adult. The only thing I have put together is that Dr. D doesn't have all the information we have. I didn't think potential witnesses were allowed to watch the trial. Is it possible she only has her interviews with Jodi and the pretrial evidence to go by, maybe that wasn't reported yet, or she missed it?

The only thing that causes me pause is I have had the impression several times that defense witnesses were expounding on previous testimony. Is that possible? Can the lawyers ask them to clarify the testimony of someone else?

With all due respect, it's painful to watch JW in direct or cross.

She seems incredibly junior in her mannerisms, speech & vernacular. She's constantly fumbling over words and saying 'ok' and 'um' and 'yeah'.

Trying to discredit the state's expert witness in a hostile way (I believe trying to mirror JM's approach) and not with buttoned-up facts just makes her look desperate and sad.

I apologize if I shouldn't voice this-- it's not meant to be rude, but seriously, I feel really sad for her career after this showing.

And you aren't on this juror, nor am I so and if you pay attention to their questions, you might see a different point...And just fyi, I can compare to CA if I choose to, which imo, was a much stronger case.

That's what my perception is.

Back in the day it was women that ALV treated for abuse, now I think more men are getting abused as women get more power in society, and this is an issue that gets pushed underneath the carpet in alot of cases.

Dr. DeMarte tells like it is and does not have to sugar coat everything. She is doing her job as a psychologist.

Ha! I knew Jodi died her hair because Mimi was brunette. :woohoo:

So ALV put in speeches/presentations she didn't do in her CV, but DJD doesn't put every single speech/presentation in her CV.
