Update: Outside the Court, Barry Roux was overheard to say to reporters:
"Please step aside, me and Oldwage have to get in my car and shoot some robots."

:) :)

This is crucial testimony from the ex gf because Reeva’s night Bag and Slippers were found on the LEFT side of the bed clearly indicating that she slept on the left side of the bed. The holster of the gun was found under the left side of the bed. This means she was sleeping on this side facing the balcony, now if she really woke up so close to the balcony she would have definitely seen him or heard him in the baloney trying to move in the big brand new fan into the bedroom, however Roux claims due to his shoulder injury, that night he slept on the bed’s left side. Reeva’s personal belongings found on the left side of the bed exposes this lie once again.

After he claims to have heard a sound from the bathroom, he had to remove the gun from the holster found under the left side side of the bed, in doing this his face and eyes would have had to be not more than one foot from where Reeva was sleeping, how did he not notice that she wasn't in the bed or try to wake her up and warn her of an intruder in his home?

Bingo!! Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner!!

Of course, OP would claim he was taking her to the car to transport her to the hospital, since he said he was instructed to by Netcare.

I do hope that someone from Netcare turns up to confirm or refute this.

I can remember at the time saying on another forum that i thought this sounded like a highly unlikely piece of advice for an emergency medical centre to give to someone dealing with a mortally wounded victim. "Oh just shove them in the back of your car and drive them round here". Really?? I would have thought a properly equipped ambulance with trained paramedics was totally essential for a gunshot victim to enable treatment to start as soon as possible.

I think the second set of sounds were the gunshots.

After this, no more woman screaming.

Oscar yells out "help,help,help."

The first and second set of *bangs* Dr Stipp heard were both gunshots !

Dr Stipp said this very clearly but Roux tried to confuse him with the cricket bat *bangs* instead of gunshot *bangs*.

It didn't work :D

All the state's witnesses told what they heard - not what Roux liked to hear they heard :floorlaugh:

He was staring at OP

'I got such a terrible fright when OP had told me everything was fine, only to get there and find him carrying Reeva down the stairs'

Omigosh!!

This guy knew right then, IMO, that OP was not telling the truth and lying about something.

That is very damning, that HE INITIALLY SAID 'EVERYTHING IS FINE.'

Wouldnt he have said HELP< CALL AN AMBULANCE!!!!!

No, he said it's fine. That is a problem for Roux. Wonder how he is going to handle this.

Why of course, he'll just say Barber is lying. :) Easy-peasy.

An accidental firearm discharge one night in Silverwood, quickly forgotten? And a missing person thread for Reeva here on WS?

Sheesh, now I know why Oscar called security so "quicky" (I had previously wondered why he woudln't take more time if it was intentionally done, to get his wits together, set the scene a bit, etc..).

Now I know....HE HAD NO CHOICE BECAUSE SECURITY CALLED HIM FIRST.

He already knew all he** was about to break loose.

He took as much time as he possibly could, then he had to call security or else it would look EXTREMELY suspicious if he had said "everything is fine," then people show up at his door and find a dead Reeva in the toilet room.

I agree with others who wonder what would have happened if people had not heard the gunshots.

Prosecutor says: "Monday has a character of its own" and wants to start at 10am instead of 930. When pressed as to what about Monday gives it that "character" he had nothing. You can't make up some of the stuff in this courtroom. Then Roux when asked says he can be there at 930 and state can arrive at 10...no problem. Actually a good answer!!

Thanks canny. I suspect he will change his mind, unless he's confident that he can put forward a reasonable explanation for killing Reeva, and explain why he told the security guard everything was 'fine' after he'd just shot dead the 'love of his life', or explain why he was able to alert Samantha Taylor to a potential intruder (and managed not to shoot her dead) while not being capable of alerting Reeva in the same situation, and did shoot her dead, while not once bothering to find out where she was. Lots of holes to fill.

I am thinkig that OP has no choice but to testify now. I mean, these things, Roux just cannot explain. They will have to come up with some explanation which OP would then have to testify to the reason he did and said these things.

JMO.

Wait a minute. He's already dating another woman? And who on earth would date a man that had killed his previous girlfriend?

You might be surprised... killers can get dates both in jail and out.

This is interesting.

Was he balancing himself with the cricket bat?

ST has testified that OP had difficulty balancing on his stumps, very interesting because how can such a handicapped man bring into his bedroom two big fans at 3:00 am in the morning WITHOUT turning ON the lights. It never happened! The fans, light switches, sliding windows, curtains, blinds walls and Reeva’s accessories found in the bathroom must all be tested for traces of Gun Shot Residue.

What do you think ? :D

A - They will fight on.

B - The forensic, ballistic and post-mortem reports will pull their butt out of the fire.

C - They will prepare a *plea bargain*.

.
.

A - initially

BUT I think the DT will probably already have a plea bargain on their files for Culpable Homicide.

Despite Roux's blustering about having "evidence" for everything, I suspect
the forensics will be incriminating.

The foundation of the OP's defense team case is the Reeva never screamed at all,she took four bullets in pin drop silence and all the witnesses are mistaking Oscar's screaming as Reeva's .This is the only way they can explain away OP shooting four shots through the door and killing her. How they will be able to convince and win over milady with this ridiculous argument is beyond comprehension.Tomorrow if a witness testifies that he heard OP's two nasty looking guard dogs barking, Roux will contend that when Oscar is hurting he can bark just like his two dogs.

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

So now he needs to sound like fearful woman, a man, and a dog at the same time.

Good luck!!

Yes, there were some pics of her floating around on MSM.

Have you seen the pics of his current gf?

Seems he likes them young.

I can imagine why he was so insecure around Reeva. Here was a beautiful, elegant, WOMAN around his own age.

Is she blonde? Only asking.....

Thanks Zwiebel and Sorrell Skye for all of your posts (sorry if I misspelled the names)!!!!!! And to all others who posted updates as well!!

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh: He is obviously a very talented man. Perhaps he will entertain his future cell mates with his impressions.

Exactly IMO too, the second round of bangs were the gunshots that killed Reeva, the last one being the head shot from which she had no hope of recovery.

The pros know this and I expect we will see further evidence up the line to prove it. Roux seems to think he can push OP's affidavit as gospel to the witnesses and every answer they give must support it all costs up to the point of badgering and bullying. OP's version is already falling apart at the seams and being exposed as a contrived pack of lies.

Nel said there were two sets of *bangs* - overall four shots in the region of 03:17 and Nel confirmed Reeva was screaming before 03:17.

He said it could not be stated as a fact that the first shot killed Steenkamp, thus making it impossible for her to scream.

And remember: Witnesses (we have heard until now) testified there was a pause between the four shots ;)

one (or two) shots.... pause.... minutes later once again two (or three) shots

The witnesses were inconsistent how much shots in the first set because of their different personal circumstances:

- they awoke at various times
- they made calls at different times to different people
- they didn't know immediately the relevancy of what they have heard
