Seems like it's most common for a man to read magazines while on the toilet. Don't know any women who are single who have magazine racks in their toilet area.

O/T when I purchased my house that was built in 1990, it had CARPET in the toilet room. EWWWWWWWW that is unsanitary BIG TIME! IYKWIM. That was ripped out first thing!

We have 3 bathrooms. The one at the far end of the house my DH claims as his. He calls it his "study" and yes he has a few hunting magazines in there.

Oh dear. I'm still not totally clear about what the state's version of what happened really is....

It looks like we're only to know when he sums up. I find that a bit weird but I guess he's still got witnesses to CE so may be hoping they can prove a bit more from them.

I know! And if Clarice takes the stand and there's no mention to her about the phone either, then we all can assume that something was stipulated about the phone outside of trial, as Shane had surmised.

Can y'all talk more about that? The missing phone?

I feel slightly disappointed with the ending to this cross examination. Nel went out with a bit of a whimper. There seem to be many questions left unanswered.

Oscar stuck with his story the whole time and although there are lots of holes in his version I think it will be difficult to convict him of killing Reeva with intent. As others have mentioned, the defenses case will likely only strengthen from now on.

If Reeva was wearing OP's jeans, should we presume she couldn't get to her own clothes?

Where was her overnight bag? In the bedroom or the upstairs sitting room, anyone?

Neatly packed on the sofa in OP's bedroom

He took someone's life. And for that he must face whatever judgment Judge Masipa deals him.

Did he kill her on purpose. I still don't think so.

Even with the aimed shots directed at her position ? Heck, he only missed her with the second shot out of four because she crumpled down onto the magazine rack. Then he redirected his aim and finally got her through the brain.

I guess he doesn't want the mag rack to be there to dispell this aiming.

Moo

I didn't want cross over yet but I think Nel made the point he had to...one tiny sticking point in Oscar's version for me is:

If he called Stander because he couldn't lift Reeva, how could he lift her by himself in time for Baba to see him bringing her downstairs at 3.26? Why was he trying to lift her at all before calling netcare? And what was he doing for about 5 minutes after calling netcare before bringing her downstairs?

Please pardon errors as posted via Tapatalk with a less than stellar user.

Yes me too..was expecting some kind of huge revelation today but nothing, actually more questions than answers. The state has not managed to convince me of his guilt in the intentional killing of Reeva.

Wow. Inappropriate.

Where I live we refer to the toilet room as simply 'the toilet' or 'the loo'. However I was fairly sure last week in x exam OP said words to the effect of he picked up her phone out the toilet or he picked up her phone out of the bowl. I could be mistaken but that was def the impression I got.

Mush the same here in Oz. But, we also call it the dunny - amongst other things?? Interpretation depends very much on the context.

Finally, the State's case is laid out...
Q: I'm putting to you that there were only two people in the house that night. You killed Reeva and you're the only person who can give a version of what happened that night. Do you agree?
A: I do, my lady.
Q: I'm putting to you Mr P that it's so improbable it cannot be possibly true.
A: It is true my lady.
Q: Reeva ate within three hours of you having shot her dead.
A: It's not true my lady... I can't possibly believe she has eaten.
Q: "You shot four shots through that door, while knowing she was standing behind that door.
A: It's not true my lady.
Q: you know because she was talking.
A: It's not true.
Q: She locked herself in the toilet, you armed yourself with the "sole purpose of shooting her dead" and that's when you did it.
A: It's not true.
Q: Afterwards you were overcome by what you had done.
A: That's true...
Q: Because you intended to kil her.
A: That's not true.
And after four days of cross-examination, Mr Nel sits down.

Disappointing finish to the CE. I expected a longer questioning of the ammunition. My theory's been dented if the jeans outside the bathroom window aren't in evidence so there must have been an innocent explanation for them being there in the first place.

Not necessarily .. I don't think that Nel could question OP on every single piece of evidence because the trial would've gone on for weeks .. the judge has all those photos, etc, and together with having shown OP to be a liar, she will use all of that, including the photos of jeans outside the window, etc, to make her judgement.

I can't believe it. Not a mention of damage to the bedroom door, or the jeans outside on the ground? Barely touched on phone calls or why he went upstairs when Dr stipp was there

Jeebus.....forgot that o e....what did he do up there should have been asked.

Rethinking...why bother....it will all be lies and drivel .
