When we listen to this cross again, we should take note of the way this doctor sometimes answers in a very high pitched tone, when a particularly tough question is asked. When my teens answered in that high pitched thin voice, they were usually fibbing or hiding something. lol

Noticed this too -- goes up a few octaves and is short and quick....and a pause before.

I know she's a woman, Nel, but stop pussyfooting around. Pull out the gloves and go for the jugular!!!

ATL *Goes into courtroom and demands that woman in green hairpiece quit chewing her gum - jeez lady you are in court and plus, you're chewing with your mouth open*

This woman is REALLY reaching. She met him twice (I believe). And now she's telling us that he was suffering as a child, seemingly happy, but really suppressing it.

Favourite Nel-ism:- The gown-shrug....usually with specs perched on end of nose.

I love it when Nel does it, but when Oldwage does it, I get an intense desire to punch him in the nose.

Nel wants to know how OP could possibly havee supressed his anxiety from age 11 months?

Dr says it is entirely possible because his family always encouraged him to be as normal as possible, and OP himself never even realised he had it it until she diagnosed him.

Unbelievable. So many disabled kids can't conceal their disability and their families don't encourage them to participate in extracurricular activities or support their kids that they're no different, and no less, than anyone else. Oscar's family was encouraging, accepting, and supportive. It irks me so much that's being twisted into force and expectation.

She got tripped up by that nonsense about GAD starting at 11 months as a result of the surgery!!!

N: How is it getting worse if he's coping and concealing it?

V: As his stresses increased, so his anxiety would increase.

Me too , the guy is riveting in his ability to weed out the perfect answer he is seeking , experts in their field or not they will all succumb in the end lol

N: You said accused was traumatized by his mother's death. Every child would be traumatized/made anxious by a mother's death? So it's not significant? Not uncommon?

V: It's not uncommon, no.

I think maybe both...he woke up angry about the doors open. Then woke her up yelling and it escalated, to where he went nutso and she threatened to call the cops...

he could NOT allow that to happen..

Yep, I think it was a mix of him being both furious at her and also freaking out that she was going to out him as a violent assh$&:

She is a BS witness.

If this witness doesn't work out, Roux is going to get a new "expert" that he bump into at lunch to testify that OP was possessed by a demonic angel.

vos, perhaps I have expressed it wrongly ,your ladyship. (>??),,,

Nel. the other aspect.. is . if the accused was able to at age 14 to cope with his disorder, and conceal it, how does this work> ? why would it get worse??

Vos. as his stressors increase, so would his anxiety in crease..

nel. so doing his matriculation exam he would be more anxious??

Vos. yes. he would if he had to write his exam.

Nel. now. you say every child losing his legs wold be anxious. and every child losing his mother would be anxious. its a factor, but its not uncommon??

Vos. no. its not uncommon...

Nel. you report that. at a stage that he would see his extended family frequently ,his sister more frequently. going to boarding school would inhibit his family time??

Vos. yes, but he didn't have his primary attachment figure... his mother. . people in their 70s, a parent dies, its whooo. bad news.. his primary A F was his mother ,she died when he ws a teenager, she would have supported him thru adolescence. she wasn't there..

Nel. but its not extraordinary. it happens all the tme.

Vos. yes. but it is a factor..

It must be horrible to be discussed like thus and not be able to say anything back!

Great stuff about her not asking for other reports.

Great stuff about her not talking to his father.

How can anyone pretend to make any 'diagnosis' of an 11 month old, by speaking to them twice, a week ago?
