Vos. clinically he presented as one with an anxiety disorder. if one takes regard of the history, as he provided.. you can see the symptoms, and then the collateral info.. the family members confirm. the diagnosis is made on history , clinical presentation and something else..

Nel can I put it to you. that a person is in a situation that must be anxiety provoking. would that be a factor?

Vos. most people seeing a psych are a little bit anxious but his symptoms were of a disorder..

Nel. a person who is involved in a murder matter, has been xexamined, wouldn't he be MORE anxious, isn't that what was presented? ?

Vos. he described himself as a lonely person. he maintained contact with people from school, but his other friends were people he preferred rather than be lonely. he sexual relatinships were quite short in operation. he didn't function adequately...

Nel. the mere fact that young men don't have steady relationships. its common isn't it?

Vos. it would be relevant if the court finds that he shot thinking it was a intruder. if the court finds that he shot knowing it was Ms S. then it goes to sentencing.

Vos. very very long pause here. well I wold think that's for the court, he gtold me he thought it was an intruder, he walked towards danger, he certainly fired at the noise.. .. he ddnt say how many times he shot. this is what he told me.
