I have a question.

TLM's testimony today was that the first statement she wrote for LE indicated that MR was the one that murdered TS. She was then charged with accessory. At a later date, she confessed that it was she that committed the murder, and her charges were upgraded.

What I would like to know is what the timeline is for these statements? I just want to be sure that the Agreed Statement of Facts in her trial included her participation in TSs murder and not that she was convicted without admitting her actions.

I am wondering whether her story changed only after she was sentenced?

By the way, I have no doubt that MR assaulted TS just the way that TLM described ...I cannot see anyone (even that monster) being able to make up a story with details like that. I am sure that the scene is etched into her drugged up mind forever ... whether or not she enjoyed it at the time is another story.

There's nothing truer than that! I thought he had already bulldozed her and gave her a million other reasons before and after to get him but apparently it only took her finding out he was dating other women and she sang. I remember hearing a joke about Bin Laden, someone said if the gov't couldn't find him, send his wife.

I think he'd remember better than TLM would and apparently she was able to lead detectives to the area. We know that he was still cleaning up evidence after the fact just by the missing back seat. Who knows how much backtracking he did so that TLM couldn't rat him out.

Do I think he combed the 401 looking for evidence? No. But did LE find anything along there is the question. His lawyer has had the discovery for a while. They know what evidence has been found and how they can get around TLM's "version of events" IMO.

He apparently missed the blood in the car though. And on the gym bag. He was also unsucessful at wiping and getting rid of his phone. So those are things we know at this point that he's up against.

She said that he told her 'they shouldn't see eachother anymore' which leads me to believe he had already met the new chickie. For myself, just the thought of my man sleeping with another woman would certainly send me over the edge, I can imagine how she would have reacted, especially since she already admitted to having anger issues. Wow.

Didn't he get the hint when she did what she did in those woods.
 
To hear everything TLM has testified to so far has me puzzled.

All the way through her testimoney thus far she intimated how Rafferty told her what to do, what to say all through out this horrific crime...but when TLM testified about hitting lil Tori with the hammer...I never heard her say that she was directed to do that by anyone else.


she hit Tori on her head---> with both sides of the hammer

No he didn't tell her, but he alluded to it in the car when he told 'you know we can't keep her and we can't bring her back'.

He must've known TLM's issues with anger, etc since she said they mostly talked about her, so she would have been easy to manipulate, and it would have been easy for him to suggest killing TS without actually coming right out and saying it. That's my opinion.

JMO He picked up TLM for one reason only...to help him fulfill his fantasy of doing what he did to VS. He found an uneducated, drug addicted female who he could EASILY manipulate. He dumped her as fast as he picked her up. He didn't need her anymore, nor did he ever love her. The visits in jail were to stay on her good side so that she held up her promise of taking the blame.

He's very brave to go out there and not break down. And TM was so verbal during the press conferences when TS was missing, and now she's so quiet, it must be terrible, she must feel absolutely broken, I hope she is getting some good counseling.

That's a good question. If she had changed her story after the agreed statement of facts/her sentencing, would there have been a second agreed statement of facts?

I was trying to find the pdf of the document to see if it had dates on it but I couldn't find it. Does anyone have it bookmarked?

I wonder whether part of TLM's self-described "rage" in committing this brutal attack and murder wasn't simple jealousy. We know that she was desperate to hang onto the "good man" she had in MR (:what:) and also that in the time they'd been together they'd been on one date and had sex all of three times -- this in the traditionally passionate beginnings of a new relationship. We know she thought of MR as "her man," despite his putting her down -- think of his line while visiting her in remand that she'd "do anything for a bit of love." I suspect that withholding his "love" was part of his strategy to control TLM.

Then this horrific crime, something they're meant to be doing together, right up until he makes it clear that he'll be raping Tori -- something he apparently did very much on his own. Not only is she implicated, with seemingly little to show for it, but she's been "replaced" by Tori. I don't think the brutality of the crime reflects in any way TLM's merciful dispatching of a child in terrible suffering. I think she hated the poor girl. And made her pay.

The desire to "take the fall" is pretty much in line with her tendency towards self-pity IMO, and taking the passive role in relationships. That harming and brutalizing TS was, as she claims, "against everything she stood for" is self-serving tosh. I reckon that TLM stood for nothing in particular, and never will. Maybe getting high.

I want to place a memorial photo on my blog for Tori. Are there free Public Domain photos of her that we can post without getting in trouble with copyright? Do we need to attribute anyone?

All the photos of Tori that the media uses, did they get them from her parents and is anyone allowed to show them online?

I would appreciate any help from experienced bloggers. I am a newbie. I don't really want to get into discussing the case, I just want to have a memorial photo for Tori who suffered dearly.

So I guess when MR talked to TLM about kidnapping somebody he was testing the water. TLM didn't lose his number after that so I guess he knew he found a winner.

As for MR's defence I am sure it will be that TLM is implicating him because she is jealous of the woman who came after her.

From the sounds of it MR manipulated TLM and pretended he was into her romantically even though all they seemed to do was drugs together. To sleep together only three times in a couple of months tells me he only did so to keep stringing her along. It's not like these two had a moral compass that didn't believe in premarital sex or anything.
