Even if you only believe half of what TLM is saying, it's pretty evident to me that MR was all about covering his own butt. He used her coat to clean the blood off himself, TOOK THE BATTERY OUT OF HIS PHONE after leaving Woodstock, lots of other things that indicate he knew he needed to cover his tracks. He had about 99 days after TLM was picked up to go driving around picking things up. IMO that's exactly what he did. If it turns out they found only her shoes and not his I'd say that's a pretty good sign he wanted to save himself and didn't care about her. And if we are to believe that he asked her right after if she wanted to get something to eat...well...:furious::furious::furious: What a pair of cold blooded animals. MOO

If his shoes do not show up in this trial, then yes I agree he went back to cover his tracks. In the link below, the pic of the sketch TLM drew of the recovery area she wrote at the top "both shoes he/her threw out window". I don't think she would lie about this.

I give the reporters there props for their hard work. I went to court yesterday. TLM mumbles a lot and there is a fair amount of jumping back and forth, sometimes it's hard to hear the testimony, the audio isn't the greatest. TLM did say though that they stopped at Tim Hortons and MR got out to go get tea.
So I don't think she was trying to cover herself because of a mistake because TLM jumps back and forth with her testimony.

I wonder when exactly TLM implicated MR??? I do hope that as soon as she did they had him under surveillance and got a warrant for his phone records etc?

Update - Victoria Stafford abduction

WOODSTOCK, ON, May 4 /CNW/ - The Oxford Community Police and the Ontario
Provincial Police are asking for further public assistance with respect to the
Victoria "Tori" Stafford abduction investigation.

Investigators are releasing a new segment of video and still footage from
surveillance cameras. In the video, investigators have identified footage of a
small to mid-sized, dark coloured station wagon with an approximate 262
centimetre wheel base. This vehicle was driving northbound on Fyfe Ave. after
Tori was seen with the unidentified woman.

Unknown vehicle on Fyfe Ave.

With respect to the vehicle, the make and model have not been identified
at this time. Further efforts are being made in this regard. In the interim,
investigators are hopeful that someone may recognize the vehicle. The driver
of the vehicle is believed to potentially be a valuable witness to this
incident and the Police would like to speak with this person.

I want to place a memorial photo on my blog for Tori. Are there free Public Domain photos of her that we can post without getting in trouble with copyright? Do we need to attribute anyone?

All the photos of Tori that the media uses, did they get them from her parents and is anyone allowed to show them online?

I would appreciate any help from experienced bloggers. I am a newbie. I don't really want to get into discussing the case, I just want to have a memorial photo for Tori who suffered dearly.

If no one has answered yet, you can copy and save any pics you find on the net pretty much. I've used many of Toris.

MR was charged May 20th with 1st degree murder and TLM with being an accessory to murder. On May 28th, her charge was moved to 1st degree murder. So I am guessing sometime before May 20th

OMG you guys, I have such a headache. I think it's from following this case so closely. I was afraid to go to sleep last night, because I was afraid I'd have bad dreams (I don't remember what I dreamed about when I finally fell asleep).

Do we--does anyone--know what became of TLM's mom? Is she still alive? (What was wrong with her that she was only supposed to have so many months left to live, anyway?).

Didn't one of MTR's single-mother friends turn up here and post for awhile near the beginning of this whole thing? I can't even imagine. It sounded like no one had any idea what he was capable of.

ETA: My memory's fuzzy, but wasn't there something about MTR and single mothers from way back when? Like, he befriended them specifically or something? I vaguely remember that there was something...

I hear you, Kitty. Instead of a headache, my stomach has been upset all week. Following this trial closely is so stressful and heartbreaking.

CMcC told reporters she had terminal intestinal cancer. She said she had 3 months to live without treatment and 6 months with. It seems no one knows where she is, but I'm sure LE must. Had she passed away, there would be records. If she is still collecting government assistance of any kind, LE could find out where they're being sent. IMO, she's either staying with relatives or is in a hospice.

MTR didn't seem to discriminate when it came to his taste in women. He had girlfriends and female friends with and without children. <modsnip>.
