here another thing: there is little to no news coming out of Nashville (where I assume she lives or has connections)
 
Yep that is just what I thought, an abusive mother and an enabling father produced a daughter with no self esteem who ended up using drugs and alcohol and in a abusive relationship that almost killed her. None of them should have that little boy. DCS has not done their job again. I hope that Zander is placed somewhere else until Mindy has her ducks in a row. With the volatile relationship she has with her mother he should never have been placed with her. Especially when Mindy's brother was taken from her. Billy McKnight is not the place to put him until he has shown that he is a changed man. Too dangerous and not in Zander's best interest. I certainly can see how that situation drove Mindy to do what she did, but she did it the wrong way. If she can stay clean she is probably the safest one for him to be with. I hope she didn't just kill her chances. I also wonder about the father of the upcoming twins. Did he think taking Zander was the way to go in this situation? what about her attorney's? What did they advise? What a mess is right I am afraid.

If a minor child had already been removed from Mindy's mother's care then how in the world did she get custody of another minor child? I wonder if anything is on the Lee Clerk of Courts public record website? I'm going to go check it out.

O for the love of God!!! This is the most bizarre case (well, bizarre celebrity case) that I think I've heard of!! Now we have strange religion and demon spirits at the Custodial parents home?? This poor boy needs stability in his life and where the heck is he gonna find it??:banghead:
I'm having a hard time reading Mindy's aunt's letter-but this whole family and custody case needs to have ALL the evidence exposed in order for this child to have a chance!! In the mean time Mindy needs to get the best legal help she can find-cause hiding from the law isn't the answer either!

I do hope she made some "right connections" & received sound advice as to what to do. Knowing that she's been "on the right track" for quite some time, maybe she has something in her back pocket . . .
 
I don't even know what to believe anymore? As for Nashville... they have already went to her home in Nashville and they are nowhere to be found. They believe she may have taken him to Arkansas now?

Well, Mindy seems to have Robin Sax (who wrote the article) on her side - so I hope that will lead Mindy to the right legal connections needed ASAP!!!

According to Mindy's gma's affidavit Mindy's 2 younger brothers "ran away" to Nashville when Mindy lived there (moved at age 18) & then were reunited with their bio-dad (who she still has a relationship with; apparently, that is where she visits with Zander).

Maybe, just maybe, Mindy did this to garner attention to the case and bring about a change. If it is as she claims and she can prove that DCS was wrong to place Zander with the grandma and/or give custody back to Billy I could see this as a good thing and it the case may have needed an eye opener.

Problem is... I have trouble with the statement that she won't submit to drug testing.

I do believe the courts may sit up and take notice now.
 
Yeah, she needs to agree to the testing. And if she's not clean, she should get help for herself.
She has to be clean and sober to take care of her son and her twins that will be here soon.
 
Did the boys "run away" or were they "removed" from the home. I have only read the sisters statement (can't get the other one to open) and to me, I don't know how much I believe from her statement? I looked at Lee Clerk of Courts and tried to find any indication that these boys were removed from her home, and I cannot find it. It's only her words?

This family is starting to really remind me of Casey Anthony's. Time to find Zander and put him somewhere safe until they can sort through this mess. Maybe I am the jaded one... but I do not trust anything Mindy says... or anyone who is supporting her in hiding Zander illegally. She has too much of a history with drugs and violence for me to be able to look past right now.

I would really like to know what Zander's school has to say... it was them who reported that he hadn't been in school... so did they see anything wrong with Zander? Did he exhibit any signs of abuse prior to him missing school? Or was it simply him missing school that made them suspicious?
 
If Mindy is 5 (or 7) months preggers, can't she just submit to a drug test? After all, if she's any kind of mother she should be clean. If she isn't - take Z and the twins off of her. I know it's not that easy (as far as staying clean after the twins are born), but it's a start. I would pray that she was clean today.

I would think all records regarding the boys when they were minors would be sealed and not available at the clerk of courts office.

My problem is that first it is being said that the boys were removed from the home and then it says that they ran away. Those are two completely different scenarios. And I wish we had someone who knows what happened straighten out the confusion.

Mindy is an addict. She has had serious addiction issues for a very long time. She refuses to go about getting custody of Zander the right way. She won't take drug tests! Something that the court has ordered based on her own decisions in her adult life. She has attempted suicide numerous times, including when she was pregnant with Zander. As much as I wish I could say that Mindy is on the up and up... I cannot. For all I know, she is nothing more than another Casey Anthony who is using her poor child in a dangerous game of tug-o-war against her mother.

I won't judge her mother until I see rock solid proof that she has put Zander in an abusive situation. She has raised this baby since he was just a baby. Mindy chose to live the life she wanted to live... and she is going to have to earn back the right to raise her child. Until she can prove that she is what is best for Zander (by taking those drug tests) then I do not believe Zander should be with her.

Trust me when I say this... if Mindy would do what was ordered from her and taken those drug tests and she was on the up and up... she would have Zander. I live here and I know the judge in the case very well (from other cases) and he is as fair as you can get. I feel that Mindy is playing a sick game of "I blame everyone else but myself for not having my kid" and she is going to take everyone down with her... and for what??

Again, I would love to know what Zander's school has witnessed since he started there.

Zander's father says that there is no truth to Mindy's mother abusing Zander. That Mindy has not gone about getting custody of Zander the right way. He does not consider her a fit mother at this time based on the fact that she has not fully cooperated with the court plan (drug tests). He says that he has a good relationship with Mindy's mother and that she took excellent care of Zander. He said that he hopes to God that Mindy does not attempt to harm herself or especially Zander. He says that he has completed programs and that is why he has been able to obtain unsupervised visitations with Zander.

I'm not excusing HIS part in this, but he seemed really sincere and honest. He wasn't badmouthing Mindy as much as he was concerned about her "pushing her luck" by doing this.

And don't ya know they don't have a transcript of this interview with Billy Mcknight.:banghead:
They go over the basic facts of whats happening and the past problems with drugs and mother's custody. A quick shot of Gayle (Mindy's mother-wow, they could be sisters!) crying-then to B Mcknight.
He says he has talked to Mindy and Zander and while Zander doesn't seem upset-Mindy does. He says he doesn't believe any abuse allegations by Mindy's mother and that he has a great relationship with her (Mindy's mom).
BM says Mindy is going about this all wrong and she can get on track if she follows the programs like he did! Matt asks him if he feels Mindy is a fit mother "at this moment" and he says not until she follows the "case plan" and that she is "pushing her luck"! He says he is back on track and it's possible for Mindy too!!
Yeah-well, I need to hear more about this family and their history before I can make any assumption any one of them is fit to raise a child-cause the older generation of children sure seem screwed up, with maternal grandmother and maternal aunt writing letters to a judge about abuse!!:banghead:
