Well, I lied about reading everything before posting again. I apparently missed several threads. I am already mentally ticking off the possible excuses the attorneys will use...if he lives...ADD, drugs, video games, bad parenting, maybe he was bullied. I am sure I missed some.
I have to say that this arrest gives me hope in some other cases I am following. Police didn't seem to have a clue, but they apparently had a very good idea who they needed to keep an eye on. Still, the fact that he was not in jail all this time leads me to continue to question why LE stated this was an isolated incident. I mean, technically it was, but the community was still in danger as long as this creep was out and about. IMOO

Hi! I've been following this thread since her murder, after stumbling across it when searching her name, but this is my first post. The whole story is heartbreaking and now even "closer to home" as I work in juvenile probation and work with kids like TH daily.
First I'd like to say ALL of you are amazing, and this whole site is just fascinating as are the brilliant minds that meet here!.

I've been catching up on the posts since his arrest and I haven't seen anything about this and was just wondering if anyone had the same thought: on his FB page in one of the pictures he mentions that he's getting high with a specific person. It was also referenced earlier that it would take someone extremely close (like family?) to help dispose of the body. I'm so new to this I'm afraid to violate TOS by making unjust implications....but does anyone else see where I'm going with this? Has this already been brought up?

I personally have not saw that here but I have thought about it. That same person, if it is who I am thinking about, was also close enough to him to know his log on information for Facebook and was looking for him when he ran away last year.

We are not allowed to be specific but I think many, including myself, are on the same train;)

Not many people IMO would be willing to knowingly transport the body of a child. Either that person was BAKED, actively participated, or loves the perp.

Welcome to Websleuths! Glad you found us!

Welcome, Seabrook.

:thewave:

I was in north Fort Worth today, so decided to drive by Alanna's this afternoon. I wanted to leave something if the memorial was replaced (any locals know?). I chickened out when I saw what I thought were investigation units on the street - since they were media it was probably a good idea that I didn't stop and get out, though!

Anyway, I just wanted to share some of the thoughts I had:

1. Saginaw is actually kind of it's own little town. It may be the way I came (over on Western Center, McLeroy, up Saginaw Blvd), but it seems kind of separated from the rest of the metroplex where one city just runs into another. It reminded me alot of the small town I'm from, complete with the railroad running through it and the big grain elevators off the main road. Felt very Midwestern.

2. I loved seeing all the purple ribbons still up. I was a little worried that with the funeral over and TH caught that they may have started coming down, but they were especially thick in the immediate neighborhoods once I was on west end of WJ Boaz & got onto Bridle Trail.

3. The homes & lots in Alanna's neighborhood are very narrow at the front, and go back deeper. You can see this on the web images we're all now quite familiar with, but I didn't really appreciate how close a flower bed could be to a neighbor's drive until I visited today. The lots are very narrow and the homes take up much of the width of them; they are very close together. Every single one has a fence, and I would estimate that they are at least 6 feet high.

4. The residential streets are also very narrow, and people park on the street. I mention this because some HOA's around here don't allow that, and it also means that to come and go from cars people are walking out into the neighborhood and actually see what's going on (not just in and out from garage and really never even see a neighbor - KWIM?).

5. Finally, even at about 3:20 on a weekday afternoon, it seemed busier than my residential neighborhood. This may be because of the construction on Knowles & people cutting through on Bridle (I believe a local mentioned this before?). There were cars in front of and behind me on Bridle, people coming and going from homes in the neighborhood.....

* oh, and the ginormous news vans with the skyscraper towers that completely freaked me out......but I was trying to create a feel of what it must have been like before those vans were ever there *

All of this is to say: I absolutely agree w/ the locals who have said there is NO WAY he took her anywhere on foot, wheelbarrow, bicycle, what have you..... There are people everywhere, the homes are packed in tight with the front doors and garages situated toward the front of the lots. People are coming and going from cars parked in driveways and on the street. And then there are the six foot fences to scale if he's trying to go through yards, and I don't see him doing that even without a load (sorry, sweetie) to tow. I couldn't imagine myself trying to scale those fences through people's backyards, and I'm in decent shape.

The only thing that absolutely baffles me is that on July 1st, there were a few critical points in time that no one was around or at least not paying attention to what was going on around them. Happened on Babbling Brook and again on Cindy Trail (which I did not visit).

Anyway, these are observations as a relative outsider looking in. Some things that stood out to me that someone who lives there may be used to and doesn't think to mention....FWIW!

:welcome: SeabrookJPO!

You arrived here via the same route most all of us did...a precious soul gone too soon touched your heart and drew you in.

You'd be hard pressed to find a friendlier or more compassionate group on the net and did I mention these folks are freakin' brilliant!

I'm happy you joined us and yes, I see exactly where you're going.

Hi Greenpalm.

I didn't see MM (bio-dad) listed in your who's who on the previous thread (post 994). I would bring it over but I'm not sure how to do that yet. Great job with the list.

Thanks. I'll post it again. I know he was on there the first time, maybe I inadvertently deleted him when I was updating. Thanks for the heads up.

Oh! And the link to it is in my signature line, so you can always find it that's way, as long as I keep posting it'll be around here somewhere.

BBM Do you have a link to that story? I have only ran across one article with the grandparents.

ETA If it is this one http://www.star-telegram.com/2013/07/24/5026216/saginaw-suspects-grandparents.html

the article stated that :

Kimberly Holder had become pregnant with her son while attending Boyd High School, her father said.

Tyler Holder seemed to have little relationship with his father, identified in court documents as Glenn Geisen.

Geisen told Tarrant County district clerk officials in a 2009 letter that he was not even aware that he had a child in Texas until he was served with a citation two weeks earlier indicating that child support was being sought.

Geisen, who lives in Montana, asked for officials’ help in making sure that Tyler was his son.

“On another note to everyone involved, if the facts on this show that it is my child, I will do everything that I can to be part of his life and to keep things right whatever they may be,” Geisen wrote.

Paternity tests indicated that Geisen was almost certainly Holder’s father. It is unclear, however, whether Geisen ever established a relationship with him. Geisen did not respond to messages seeking comment Tuesday or Wednesday."

According to the article the grandfather only said the first line and the rest was the author's opinion based off of court documents. They admit that they don't know if the father established a relationship but they (the press) called/messaged him to ask. Ugh...I hate how the media writes stuff! They stick stuff in from "court documents" or other sources, not identified, in between the quotes from a family member. I think they do it on purpose.

Oops... Deleted....I violated TOS I think.
:/ sorry

I wonder if Alanna knocked on Holder's door that day, or if Holder went outside and lured her? Holder lived next door to the house where Alanna was friends with the grandkids, so maybe after they told Alanna they couldn't play today and left, she went to the next house which was his?

I wonder if he had previous run ins with anyone living very close to where he left Alanna ???

My heart just broke thinking about this. What a horrid case. I hope TH an his accomplices face life in prison or the death penalty.

I've been hoping daily to open the thread and read he died. I'm disappointed everyday.
