OMG!! I just came from Ali's page on FaceBook... And I am OVERJOYED that this has happened! I'd like to think that all those hours of research and all the emails that I sent off to the Sheriff, the DA, the Texas Attorney General and the Texas Rangers played some teeny, tiny part in this decision. But, even if that's not the case, the main theme I kept emphasizing over and over to all of those people was that the "runaway" designation should be changed in order to allow other investigative resources to kick in. And now it's happened! I'm just ecstatic! Now... To see if any of my online research on those who might have potentially been involved will prove useful in what I know see as the ultimate goal: Bringing Ali back to her family and friends...

Thank you thank you flowerlady for all you do !!!!
I do believe you made a difference !!!!!
Oh how i hope the fbi gets involved now!
Finally i hope the lowitzer's will get the resources they need to find ali !!!!!

That's sweet of you to say C. I'm hoping, too, that things will move along more quickly so we can get Ali back to her family. That would be my most precious dream come true.

Someone mentioned that on Ali's FaceBook page, as well... I wonder if there's a way to contact them to ask them to update their pages. I'll have to take a look see.

I've sent an email to the NCMEC asking them to update their listing on Ali... We'll see...

I wrote NCFMEC again just now using their own email "comments" page regarding changing the classification on Ali's page there to "Missing"... Hope they'll finally get someone to do it. **sigh**

Most times, trying to cut through the bureaucratic BS to get some of these (seemingly) very simple things done is like trying to wade through pancake syrup -- in JANUARY.

(I can see now why I was prized as an administrative assistant in my working days -- I actually got things DONE. >:^\ )

For Ali...

Has anyone found any information on the owner of the Burger Barn that Ali worked at?

Jennifer,

I believe if you look back a few pages in this same thread, you will find at least 3 different posts I put here with my detailed research into the owners, former owners, family and business partners associated with the Burger Barn.

I have been very busy with other things for the last few weeks and came back tonight disappointed to see this thread on page 3 or so...

Bumping for Ali.

I appreciate your words of encouragement Claudi... Yes. It IS frustrating... And the way the one lady on the Houston TV station website who claimed her a daughter was assaulted by this "Hatem" (who was, I believe, the manager of the BB at the time of Ali's disappearance) talked about how she was unable to get local law enforcement to do anything about it -- well, it doesn't fill me with confidence that LE is moving things along on this case with anything NEAR the proper motivation and alacrity... **sigh**

WHERE IS ALEXANDRIA LOWITZER?

FYI: There is a state park between our homes, with the water levels so low I have been searching for any signs. I am happy to report that I have not found anything! It gives me hope. I ride my bicycle in the park most days. I believe there are many people looking for Ali.
